  • The 2018 Seoul Zero Pay is a policy actively promoted by the government as an economic stimulus package for small business owners and the self-employed who are experiencing economic depression due to COVID-19. However, the controversy over the effectiveness of Zero Pay continues even after two years have passed since the implementation of the policy. Zero Pay is a joint QR code mobile payment service introduced by the government, Seoul city, financial companies, and private simple payment providers to reduce the burden of card merchant fees for small business owners and self-employed people who are experiencing economic difficulties due to the economic downturn., it was attempted in the direction of economic revitalization for the return of alleyways[1]. Therefore, this study intends to draw implications for improvement measures so that the ongoing zero-pay can be further activated and the economy can be settled normally. The analysis results of this study are as follows. First, it shows the effect of increasing the income of small business owners by inducing consumption in alleyways through the economic revitalization policy of Zero Pay. Second, the issuance and distribution of Zero Pay helps to revitalize the local economy and contribute to the establishment of a virtuous cycle system. Third, stable operation is being realized by the introduction of blockchain technology to the Zero Pay platform. In terms of academic significance, the direction of Zero Pay's policies and systems was able to identify changes in the use of Zero Pay through big data analysis. The implementation of the zero-pay policy is in its infancy, and there are limitations in factors for examining the consumer image perception of zero-pay as there are insufficient prior studies. Therefore, continuous follow-up research on Zero Pay should be conducted.

  • Let $\mathcal{M}(S)$ denote the set of all $m{\times}n$ matrices over a semiring S. For $A{\in}\mathcal{M}(S)$, zero-term rank of A is the minimal number of lines (rows or columns) needed to cover all zero entries in A. In [5], the authors obtained that a linear operator on $\mathcal{M}(S)$ preserves zero-term rank if and only if it preserves zero-term ranks 0 and 1. In this paper, we obtain new characterizations of linear operators on $\mathcal{M}(S)$ that preserve zero-term rank. Consequently we obtain that a linear operator on $\mathcal{M}(S)$ preserves zero-term rank if and only if it preserves two consecutive zero-term ranks k and k + 1, where $0{\leq}k{\leq}min\{m,n\}-1$ if and only if it strongly preserves zero-term rank h, where $1{\leq}h{\leq}min\{m,n\}$.

  • The present study explores mathematics teachers' understanding of division by zero and their approaches to explaining the impossibility of division by zero. This study analyzes Chinese and Korean middle school mathematics teachers' responses to the teaching task of explaining the impossibility of dividing 7 by zero, and examples of teachers' reasoned explanations for their answers are presented. The findings from this study suggest that most Korean teachers offer multiple types of mathematical explanations for justifying the impossibility of division by zero, while Chinese teachers' explanations were more uniform and based less on mathematical ideas than those of their Korean counterparts. Another finding from this study is that teachers' particular conceptions of zero were strongly associated with their justifications for the impossibility of division by zero, and the influence of the teachers' conceptions of zero was revealed as a barrier in composing a well-reasoned explanation for the impossibility of division by zero. One of the practical implications of this study is those teachers' basic attitudes toward always attempting to give explanations for mathematical facts or mathematical concepts do not seem to be derived solely from their sufficient knowledge of the facts or concepts of mathematics.

  • Let G = (V, E) be a graph with p-vertices and q-edges and let R be a finite zero ring of order n. An injective function f : V (G) → {r1, r2, , rk}, where ri ∈ R is called vertex pair sum k-zero ring labeling, if it is possible to label the vertices x ∈ V with distinct labels from R such that each edge e = uv is labeled with f(e = uv) = [f(u) + f(v)] (mod n) and the edge labels are distinct. A graph admits such labeling is called vertex pair sum k-zero ring graph. The minimum value of positive integer k for a graph G which admits a vertex pair sum k-zero ring labeling is called the vertex pair sum k-zero ring index denoted by 𝜓pz(G). In this paper, we defined the vertex pair sum k-zero ring labeling and applied to some graphs.

  • In this paper, new zero voltage and zero current switched PWM(Pulse Width Modulated) converters are suggested. The main and auxiliary switch of the converters satisfy soft switching conditions, which are zero voltage or zero current switching of the switches. The switching characteristics of the proposed converters are experimentally verified by boost typed converter, which has 250 kHz switching frequency. For the 250 kHz operation, turn on period of auxiliary switch is about 1/40 for switching period of 4 ${\mu}\textrm{s}$. Therefore, the conduction loss of auxiliary switch is reduced.

  • Recently, an LWE-based commitment scheme is proposed. Their construction is statistically hiding as well as computationally binding. On the other hand, the construction of related zero-knowledge protocols is left as an open problem. In this paper, we present zero-knowledge protocols with hardness based on the LWE problem. we show how to instantiate efficient zero-knowledge protocols that can be used to prove linear and sum relations among these commitments. In addition, we show how the variant of LWE, spLWE problem, can be used to instantiate efficient zero-knowledge protocols.

  • In this paper, we study domination in the zero-divisor graph of a *-ring. We first determine the domination number, the total domination number, and the connected domination number for the zero-divisor graph of the product of two *-rings with componentwise involution. Then, we study domination in the zero-divisor graph of a Rickart *-ring and relate it with the clique of the zero-divisor graph of a Rickart *-ring.

  • This paper focuses on the zero-voltage/zero current transition voltage equalization circuit for the series connected battery cell. By adding auxiliary resonant cells at the main switching devices such as MOSFET or IGBT, zero current switching is achieved and turned off loss of switching elements is eliminated and by the voltage/second balancing of the inductor, zero voltage switching can be applied to switching element. Transformer coupling between battery cells and ZVZCT (Zero Voltage Zero Current Transition) switching method allow the fast balancing speed and high frequency operation, which reduces the size and weight of the circuit. The validity of the battery equalization is further verified using simulation involving four lithium-ion battery cell models.

  • In the fields of mechanical reliability application, "zero" or "zero or one" failure tests are most commonly used for demonstrating reliability of a product since they reduce test duration and/or sample size compared to other test methods that guarantees the same reliability of a product with a given confidence level or consumer's risk. The test duration of the "zero or one" failure test is longer than that of "zero" failure test but it has advantage of smaller producer's risk. In this paper a two-stage test is developed that compromises the "zero" and "zero or one" failure tests. The properties of the proposed two-stage test are investigated and the three test methods are compared using a numerical example.
