BIM정보를 활용한 강구조물의 공정 물량 통합관리 (Integrated Management of Process Schedule and Quantity Take-Off for Steel Structures using BIM Information)

  • BIM technologies store, share and integrate the information produced in each sector of the construction industry. From this point on, it increases the efficiency of the work. Currently, quantity take-off and process schedule are derived separately based on BIM technology. When calculating the quantity by process, relevant information shall be collected, reinterpreted, and reevaluated as required by the practice. The purpose of this study is to develop an integrated process and quantity management system through BIM collaboration and to build prototypes for steel structures. The main research is to build a construction BIM model for steel structures and a process BIM model through BIM collaboration. Furthermore, necessary information was selected and processed according to the user's needs for integrated management. Relevant integration outcomes are visualized graphically to maximize utilization. Through these studies, a system for integrated control of processes and supplies is provided, and the results are expected to contribute to the improvement of working efficiency and are easily and quickly reflected in design change and process change. In this study, we intended to enhance the usability of information by linking process schedules with quantity calculations based on BIM. Thus, the process for integrated control of the quantity of structural components by process unit and the BIM based schedule information was established. In addition, the efficiency of the information link of the integrated management system was considered for design changes and process schedule changes.

플래시를 이용한 웹기반 일정관리 도구 개발 (Development of a Web-based Schedule Tool Using Flash)

  • 건설공사의 일정관리는 주어진 기간 내에 프로젝트를 완수하기 위한 중요한 수단이다. 액티비티의 수가 많아지고 복잡한 선후행 관계가 형성될수록 일정관리 소프트웨어를 활용해야 하는 필요성이 증대되고 있다. 또한 정보통신기술이 발달하면서 웹기반의 프로젝트관리 기술과 도구도 발전하고 있고 다수의 프로그램도 개발되어 있다. 본 연구는 웹 기반에서 일정관리 도구를 개발하기 위해 상호작용성이 우수한 플래시를 이용하는 방법을 제안하였다. 제안된 방법을 구현하기 위해 플래시와 액션스크립트로 프로토타입을 작성하였고 웹 화면에서 공정표를 표현하여 적용성을 검토하였다.

일-가정 균형감과 행복도 : 영유아기 자녀를 둔 기혼취업여성을 중심으로 (A study of balance between work and family, and of happiness: focused on working women with preschool-aged children)

  • This study investigates the balance between work and family, and the happiness of married working women who have preschool-aged children. Data were collected from 321 questionnaires that consisted of three parts: 1) basic demographic variables, 2) family-life variables, and 3) working-life variables. SPSS 21.0 was used for the statistical analysis. The variables that were identified to have a statistically significant impact on the balance between work and family were income, age of first child, time spent on housework and childcare on weekdays, time spent on housework on weekends, family-friendly service in the workplace and flexibility of work schedule. 2) The variables that were identified to have a statistically significant impact on happiness were age, income, time spent on housework on weekends, satisfaction with spouse's participation in housework and childcare, average working time, family-fiendly service in the workplace, flexibility of work schedule, and balance between work and family. The majority of the variables that influence balance between work and family, and happiness related to aspects of work, such as family-fiendly service, flexibility of work schedules, and average working time. The results also found that the load of housework and childcare on weekends is a heavy burden for working women. Further research needs to focus on developing the extending index of happiness including the measure of balance between work and life. In addition, further studies with more varied groups need to be conducted.

A Systematic Approach Of Construction Management Based On Last Planner System And Its Implementation In The Construction Industry

  • The Last PlannerSystem (LPS) has been implemented on construction projects to increase work flow reliability, a precondition for project performance againstproductivity and progress targets. The LPS encompasses four tiers of planning processes:master scheduling, phase scheduling, lookahead planning, and commitment / weeklywork planning. This research highlights deficiencies in the current implementation of LPS including poor lookahead planning which results in poor linkage between weeklywork plans and the master schedule. This poor linkage undetermines the ability of theweekly work planning process to select for execution tasks that are critical to projectsuccess. As a result, percent plan complete (PPC) becomes a weak indicator of project progress. The purpose of this research is to improve lookahead planning (the bridgebetween weekly work planning and master scheduling), improve PPC, and improve theselection of tasks that are critical to project success by increasing the link betweenShould, Can, Will, and Did (components of the LPS), thereby rendering PPC a betterindicator of project progress. The research employs the case study research method to describe deficiencies inthe current implementation of the LPS and suggest guidelines for a better application ofLPS in general and lookahead planning in particular. It then introduces an analyticalsimulation model to analyze the lookahead planning process. This is done by examining the impact on PPC of increasing two lookahead planning performance metrics: tasksanticipated (TA) and tasks made ready (TMR). Finally, the research investigates theimportance of the lookahead planning functions: identification and removal ofconstraints, task breakdown, and operations design.The research findings confirm the positive impact of improving lookaheadplanning (i.e., TA and TMR) on PPC. It also recognizes the need to perform lookaheadplanning differently for three types of work involving different levels of uncertainty:stable work, medium uncertainty work, and highly emergent work.The research confirms the LPS rules for practice and specifically the need to planin greater detail as time gets closer to performing the work. It highlights the role of LPSas a production system that incorporates deliberate planning (predetermined andoptimized) and situated planning (flexible and adaptive). Finally, the research presents recommendations for production planningimprovements in three areas: process related, (suggesting guidelines for practice),technical, (highlighting issues with current software programs and advocating theinclusion of collaborative planning capability), and organizational improvements(suggesting transitional steps when applying the LPS).

  • The duration of a construction project is not only a key element for taking a new order, but also a strict yardstick to determine certain project successful or not. However, since construction project is basically outdoor job and most of the activities are proceeded out-air, no matter how the schedule plan has been established accurately, actual project proceeds due to the weather condition, beyond anyone's control. In this paper, the functional relationship between work productivity rate and weather elements is suggested by regression analysis. Difference of the relationship and influence of weather due to the seasonal group are also revealed. With these results, by simulating actual weather data and generating weather forecast through historical data, more accurate schedule would be obtained.

능동형 BIM 체계에 의한 토목 및 건축분야 BIM 활용성 개선 연구 (Usability Improvement of BIM for Construction Projects Using Active BIM Functions)

  • 현재 활용되고 있는 대부분의 BIM체계는 설계 및 시공단계의 작업 현상에 대한 시각적 정보제공에 초점을 두고 있는 수동형 BIM (Passive BIM) 운영체계이다. 수동형 BIM체계에서는 설계성과품의 간섭발생 부위를 3D객체에 의해 시각적으로 파악할 수 있으나, 추가적으로 간섭 상황의 해결방안을 제시하는 것은 곤란하다. 또한 시공단계 4D시뮬레이션도 일정별 시공형태의 표현은 가능하나, 프로젝트 공정조건을 고려한 최적화된 일정계획의 제시 등은 미흡한 수준이다. 그러나 최근 다양한 기관에서 BIM을 적용하면서 사용자의 BIM 요구수준은 이미 시각적 정보제공을 넘어서, 파악된 문제 현상의 해결방안까지 BIM으로 표현할 수 있는 능동형 BIM (Active BIM) 기능들을 요구하고 있다. 본 연구에서는 능동형 BIM의 개념적용을 위해 시공단계의 대표적 BIM 도구인 4D CAD시스템을 예로 하여 능동형 기능 구성방법론을 제시하고 독자적 개발엔진으로 시스템 구현을 시도하였다.

공동주택 공사의 작업간 간섭 감소 방안에 관한 연구 (A Study on the Measures for Work Interference Reduction in Apartment Construction)

  • Apartments construction is a one of largest parts in buildings construction. In apartments construction, work interferences are frequently occurred in work processing because workspaces are very various and numerous. However, though work process is important for mainly influencing to the schedule, quality and cost of apartments construction, these work interferences are considered a kind of uncertainty, which is difficult to anticipate at construction planning stage, in work processing. Therefore, this study proposed the measures for work interference reduction in apartment buildings construction and the actual planning for practices. The results can be summarized as follows: (1) the standard of work process is checked regularly. (2) The scope of work and work process is adjusted. (3) The standard of drawings process and cost about work interferences work profess is established.

대일정 생산 계획에 따른 조선소 생산 용량의 초기 평가를 위한 이산사건 시뮬레이션 (Discrete Event Simulation for the Initial Capacity Estimation of Shipyard Based on the Master Production Schedule)

  • Capacity planning plays an important role not only for master production plan but also for facility or layout design in shipbuilding. Product work breakdown structure, attributes of production resources, and production method or process data are associated in order to make the discrete event simulation model of shipyard layout plan. The production amount of each process and the process time is assumed to be stochastic. Based on the stochastic discrete event simulation model, the production capacity of each facility in shipyard is estimated. The stochastic model of product arrival time, process time and transferring time is introduced for each process. Also, the production capacity is estimated for the assumed master production schedule.

블록조립공장의 부하평준화를 위한 생산일정계획 (A Production Schedule for Load Leveling in a Block Assembly Shop)

  • This paper presents a production scheduling model in a block assembly shop in shipbuilding industry. In a block assembly shop, the most important performance criterion is load leveling, which balances manpower and work area utilization through the planning horizon. The problem is formulated as a mixed-integer nonlinear programming(MINLP) problem of which objective function is to optimize load leveling. The developed MINLP problem can not be solvable due to computational complexity. The MINLP problem is decomposed into two stage mixed-integer linear programming (MILP) problems to obtain a good solution, but the decomposed MILP problems are still computationally intractable because of combinatorial complexity. Therfore, a heuristic method using linear programming is proposed to solve two stage MILP problems sequentially. The proposed heuristic generates a good production schedule within a reasonable computation time, and it is easily applicable for establishing the production schedule in a block assembly shop in shipbuilding industry.

전처리 방식의 복수지역 제약공정 스케줄링 (Preprocessing based Scheduling for Multi-Site Constraint Resources)

  • Make-to-order manufacturers with multiple plants at multiple sites need to have the ability to quickly determine which plant will produce which customer order to meet the due date and minimize the transportation cost from the plants to the customer. Balancing the work loads and minimizing setups and make-span are also of great concern. Solving such scheduling problems usually takes a long time. We propose a new approach, which we call 'preprocessing', for resolving such complex problems. In preprocessing scheme, a 'good' a priori schedule is prepared and maintained using unconfirmed order information. Upon the confirmation of orders. the preprocessed schedule is quickly modified to obtain the final schedule. We present a preprocessing solution algorithm for multi-site constraint scheduling problem (MSCSP) using genetic algorithm; and conduct computational experiments to evaluate the performance of the algorithm.
