  • We discuss in this paper the strong convergence for weighted sums of negative associated (in abbreviation: NA) arrays. Meanwhile, the central limit theorem for weighted sums of NA variables and linear process based on NA variables is also considered. As corollary, we get the results on iid of Li et al. ([10]) in NA setting.

  • It is natural to try to find a kernel such that its convolution of integrable functions converges faster than that of the $Fej{\acute{e}}r$ kernel. In this paper, we introduce a weighted Fourier partial sums which are written as the convolution of signed good kernels and prove that the weighted Fourier partial sum converges in $L^2$ much faster than that of the $Ces{\grave{a}}ro$ means. In addition, we present two numerical experiments.

  • In this article, we consider a Bayesian estimation method for the geometric mean of $textsc{k}$ exponential parameters, Using the Tibshirani's orthogonal parameterization, we suggest an invariant prior distribution of the $textsc{k}$ parameters. It is seen that the prior, probability matching prior, is better than the uniform prior in the sense of correct frequentist coverage probability of the posterior quantile. Then a weighted Monte Carlo method is developed to approximate the posterior distribution of the mean. The method is easily implemented and provides posterior mean and HPD(Highest Posterior Density) interval for the geometric mean. A simulation study is given to illustrates the efficiency of the method.

  • In this paper, we propose a vocal separation method using weighted ${\beta}$-order minimum mean wquare error estimation (WbE) based on kernel back-fitting algorithm. In spoken speech enhancement, it is well-known that the WbE outperforms the existing Bayesian estimators such as the minimum mean square error (MMSE) of the short-time spectral amplitude (STSA) and the MMSE of the logarithm of the STSA (LSA), in terms of both objective and subjective measures. In the proposed method, WbE is applied to a basic iterative kernel back-fitting algorithm for improving the vocal separation performance from monaural music signal. The experimental results show that the proposed method achieves better separation performance than other existing methods.

  • Recently, the expectation of quality about images over the increasing demand of digital devices is increasing with the development of the technology of the digital. But the images are degraded by a variety of causes, and the main reason is the noises. Therefore, the necessity of denoising comes to the fore, and the research for denoising is progressing dynamically. The images are mainly degraded by AWGN(additive white Gaussian noise), and the characteristics of denoising of existing methods such as mean filter are insufficient. In this paper, an algorithm combined by the spatial weighted filter and the modified adaptive weighted filter is proposed in order to effectively remove the AWGN. In the simulation result, the proposed algorithm showed excellent denoising capabilities.

  • In a various range of applications including hydrology, the type-I extreme value distribution has been extensively used as a probabilistic model for analyzing extreme events. In this paper, we introduce methods for estimating the scale parameter of the type-I extreme value distribution. A simulation study is performed to compare the estimators in terms of mean-squared error and bias, and the obtained results are provided.

  • This paper considers a non preemtive single processor scheduling problem in which each set have the two common due dates. The objective of the problem is to minimize the weighted mean absolute deviation of job completion times about such two common due dates under the assumption that each job has a different weight. Such a job sequence is an W-shaped sequence. We propose three heuristic solution methods based on several dominance conditions. Numerical examples are presented. The performance comparison is made among three heuristic scheduling procedures.

  • We obtain a new matrix generalization result dealing with weighted mean summability of infinite series by using a new general class of power increasing sequences obtained by Sulaiman [9]. This theorem also includes some new and known results dealing with some basic summability methods.

  • In this paper, using the theory of majorization, we discuss the Schur m power convexity for L-conjugate means of n variables and the Schur convexity for weighted L-conjugate means of n variables. As applications, we get several inequalities of general mean satisfying Schur convexity, and a few comparative inequalities about n variables Gini mean are established.

  • This paper explain about the development of environmental friendly, low cost and stable supply material i.e., rice husk and shell were used as micro incorporating bio waste filler. Those were processed by ball mill and analyzed through micro observation by FE-SEM, EDS and particle size distribution. The obtained filler was mixed with epoxy resin for the manufacturing of CFRP composite and study tensile properties. In EDS analysis main contents of rice husk and rice husk ash are C, O and Si. When rice husk was burned C and Si ration were increased. Shell powder has C, O and Ca. It caused $CaCO_3$ from shell. Surface weighted mean of rice husk powder is $6.19{\mu}m$ and volume weighted mean is $14.77{\mu}m$. And it has rod type particles which caused hair and husk structure parts. Surface weighted mean of rice husk ash powder is $1.55{\mu}m$ and volume weighted means is $8.20{\mu}m$. Surface weighted mean of shell powder is $2.53{\mu}m$ and volume weighted mean is $5.79{\mu}m$. The tensile decreased with increasing the content of micro filler in CFRP composites. In case of rice husk, the significant decrement of tensile strength was observed. and in case of shell powder, there is no effect of changes take place in tensile strength.
