A pressure wave created by the photoacoustic effect is affected by the medium and by laser parameters. The effect of these parameters on the generated pressure wave can be seen by solving the photoacoustic wave equation. These solutions which are examined in the time domain and the frequency domain should be considered by researchers in acoustic sensor design. In particular, frequency domain analysis contains significant information for designing the sensor. The most important part of this information is the determination of the operating frequency of the sensor. In this work, the laser parameters to excite the medium, and the acoustic signal parameters created by the medium are analyzed. For the first time, we have obtained solutions for situations which have no frequency domain solutions in the literature. The main focal point in this work is that the frequency domain solutions of the acoustic wave equation are performed and the effects of the frequency analysis of the related parameters are shown comparatively from the viewpoint of using them in acoustic sensor designs.
In the paper, we study questions on classical solvability of nonlocal problems for a third-order linear hyperbolic equation in a rectangular domain. The Riemann method is applied to the Goursat problem and solution is obtained in the integral form. Investigated problems are reduced to the uniquely solvable Volterra-type equation of second kind. Influence effects of coefficients at lowest derivatives on correctness of studied problems are detected.
This paper deals with the very interesting problem about the influence of piecewise smooth boundary conditions on the distribution of the eigenvalues of the negative Laplacian in R$^3$. The asymptotic expansion of the trace of the wave operator (equation omitted) for small |t| and i=√-1, where (equation omitted) are the eigenvalues of the negative Laplacian (equation omitted) in the (x$^1$, x$^2$, x$^3$)-space, is studied for an annular vibrating membrane $\Omega$ in R$^3$together with its smooth inner boundary surface S$_1$and its smooth outer boundary surface S$_2$. In the present paper, a finite number of Dirichlet, Neumann and Robin boundary conditions on the piecewise smooth components (equation omitted)(i = 1,...,m) of S$_1$and on the piecewise smooth components (equation omitted)(i = m +1,...,n) of S$_2$such that S$_1$= (equation omitted) and S$_2$= (equation omitted) are considered. The basic problem is to extract information on the geometry of the annular vibrating membrane $\Omega$ from complete knowledge of its eigenvalues by analysing the asymptotic expansions of the spectral function (equation omitted) for small |t|.

We present a quantitative analysis of a dipole antenna and its characteristics from the viewpoint of quantum mechanics. The method makes use of a Maxwell equation used in an existing antenna propagation formula. This includes radiation resistance, input reactance, and antenna efficiency as functions of frequency and antenna length. Particular attention is paid to the Schr$\ddot{o}$odinger equation. We accomplish E-field and H-field analyses of a dipole antenna by combining the Maxwell and Schr$\ddot{o}$odinger wave equations. When comparing the existing Maxwell wave equation with the Schr$\ddot{o}$odinger wave equation, quantum-electric movement is more accurate than using the Maxwell wave equation alone.

For the effective development or preservation of Tokdo, the natural environments in the ambient sea area should be well investigated. The wave deformations and wave breaking in the vicinity have much affected the bottom morphology of Tokdo as well as its ecological environment. The present study investigates the wave deformations and wave breaking through a numerical model. The final goal is to provide the fundamental wave data for the effective development or preservation of Tokdo in future. The extended mild slope equation was applied to Tokdo sea area for three different deep water wave conditions (S, SSE, NNE directions). The results showed that for the S and SSE directions the wave heights in the area between the east island and the west island were very low with the level of 1~2m, but for the NNE direction they appeared pretty high with 3~4m, In the sea area near the northwest of west island, the wave heights were low to be 1~3m for all three directions of deep water wave.
In this article, we construct exact traveling wave solutions for nonlinear PDEs in mathematical physics via the (1+1)- dimensional combined Korteweg- de Vries and modified Korteweg- de Vries (KdV-mKdV) equation, the (1+1)- dimensional compouned Korteweg- de Vries Burgers (KdVB) equation, the (2+1)- dimensional cubic Klien- Gordon (cKG) equation, the Generalized Zakharov- Kuznetsov- Bonjanmin- Bona Mahony (GZK-BBM) equation and the modified Korteweg- de Vries - Zakharov- Kuznetsov (mKdV-ZK) equation, by using the (($\frac{G'}{G}$) -expansion method combined with the Riccati equation, where G = $G({\xi})$ satisfies the Riccati equation $G'({\xi})=A+BG^2$ and A, B are arbitrary constants.

In the present study, a numerical model using Boussinesq equation is set up to predict the interacted equilibrium between waves and their induced currents in the occurrence of breaking waves over an underwater shoal, and the numerical results are compared with results of existing hydraulic experiments. A sensitivity analysis has been done to find out appropriate values of breaking wave parameters with the result (regular wave case) of Vincent and Briggs (1989)’ experiment. Then the numerical model is applied to the irregular wave cases of the experiment and the hydraulic model test of Ieodo which is a natural undersea shoal. The results show that a strong current forms in the wave direction at the downstream side of the shoals, causing the attenuation of wave heights there. The calculated wave heights generally show a similar pattern with the measured data.

In this paper, we simulate the collision of a solitary wave on a vertical wall in a uniform water channel and investigate the effect of damping on the amplitude attenuation. In order to take into account the damping effect, we introduce the Stokes damping whose dissipation is dependent on the velocity of wave motion on the surface of a thin layer of oil. That is, we use the improved Boussinesq equation with Stokes damping to describe the damped wave motion. Our work mainly focuses on the amplitude attenuation of a propagating solitary wave, which may depend on the Stokes damping together with the initial position and initial amplitude of the wave. We utilize the method of images and a powerful numerical tool (functional iteration method) for solving the improved Boussinesq equation, yielding an effective numerical simulation. This enables us to find the amplitudes of the incident wave and reflected one, whose ratio is a measure of the (wave) amplitude attenuation. Accordingly, we have shown that the reflection of a solitary wave by a vertical wall is dependent on not only the initial amplitude and position of a solitary but the Stokes damping.
In this paper, we study the response of several anisotropic systems to buried transient line loads. The problem is mathematically formulated based on the equations of motion in the constitutive relations. The load is in form of a normal stress acting with arbitrary axis on the plane of monoclinic symmetry. Plane wave equation is coupled with vertical shear wave, longitudinal wave and horizontal shear wave. We first considered the equation of motion in reference coordinate system, where the line load is coincident with symmetry axis of the orthotrioic material. Then the equation of motion is transformed with respect to general coordiante system with azimuthal angle by using transformation tensor. The load is first described as a body force in the equations of the motion for the infinite media and then it is mathematically characterized. Subsequently the results for semi-infinite spaces is also obtained by using superposition of the infinite medium solution together with a scattered solution from the free surface. Consequently explicit solutions for the displacements are obtained by using Cargniard-DeHoop contour. Numerical results which are drawn from concrete examples of orthotropic material belonging to monoclinic symmetry are demonstrated.
The numerical model for prediction of longshore current with set-up/down effect on a plane beach is developed using the longshore component of the depth-integrated momentum balance equation. To predict the longshore current, the wave height model should first be formulated because the longshore current depends on the wave height directly. Two wave model, regular wave model and random wave model, are developed based on the energy flux balance equation. Also, the numerical model estimating the set-up inside the shoreline is developed using both the on-offshore momentum equation and the moving boundary technique. The numerical models are verified by the analytical solution, and compared with laboratory data. It is found from the comparison that developed models may be predicted accurately the longshore current with set-up/down effect on a plane beach.
