We devised a grape variety model to estimate the impact of lowering the Shine Muscat quality level on the grape market. Shine Muscat has become a popular grape variety in Korea. Accordingly, the area devoted to the harvesting of Shine Muscat has increased dramatically since 2016. Our study examines how a reduction in the quality of Shine Muscat affects other grapes such as Campbell Early, giant peak, and Muscat Bailey A (MBA). The Armington model was used to impose consumer preferences and product differentiation assumptions. We found that a decrease in the consumer preference for Shine Muscat realized by lowering the quality of Shine Muscat largely reduces the price of this variety. Also, the prices of other grape varieties fell via a substitute effect. Moreover, if grape varieties were more differentiated, the reduction in the price of Shine Muscat would be greater, while the decreases in the prices of other grape varieties would be smaller. These results imply that farmers of Shine Muscat must continue with quality management efforts to avoid the negative effect of changing consumer behavior with regard to Shine Muscat against a reduction in its quality. Our model introduces a product differentiation model for the fruit market and helps policymakers and farmers understand the impact of changing market conditions in the fruit market.

It was indicated that natural fiber crops Ln Korea have been major crops, such as cotton, flax, ramie and Kenaf. The major varieties andagronomic characterics are summarized as follows. Cotton variety, Mokpo 6 is long fiber length and, is high lint yield, flax variety, Wiera is hiTh amount of dry stem and grains weiTht. On the other hand, kenaf variety, Suweon 2 is high dry fiber weight and fiher ratio.

Ten anther-derived doubled haploid (ADH) and 10 maternally-derived doubled haploid fines (MDH) from NC 2326 were evaluated in the field to compare their performance. Both anther-derived doubled haploid and maternally-derived doubled haploid lines were agronomically inferior to selfed parental variety for many parameters, but the degree of inferiority of the MDH lines were not significantly different from the selfed parental variety for any character investigated. The inferiority of the ADH lines were, however, significantly different from the selfed parental variety for yield, leaf length and width , and days to flower.

We give an explicit formula for the Mordell-Weil rank of an abelian fibered variety and some of its applications for an abelian fibered $hyperk{\ddot{a}}hler$ manifold. As a byproduct, we also give an explicit example of an abelian fibered variety in which the Picard number of the generic fiber in the sense of scheme is different from the Picard number of generic closed fibers.

The new burley tobacco variety, KB 301, was developed by the cross combination ’(Ky 17 x TI 1068)F$_4$ x TC 613’. The modified pedigree breeding method was used in the selection procedures. The agronomic traits and chemical constituents of KB 301 were very similar to those of Burley 21. But KB 301 had significantly higher content of total DVT than Burley 21. KB 301 was also resistant to black shank, TMV and PVY.

본(本) 논문(論文)에서는 smooth Affine variety가 미분가능(微分可能) 다양체(多樣體)임을 보임으로써 대수기하학(代數幾何學)이 다양체이론(多樣體理論)과 관련(關聯)됨을 논(論)하였다. $\S1$에서는 affine variety의 차원(次元)과 affine variety의 접공간(接空間)에 대(對)한 정의(正義)와 그에 관련(關聯)된 성질(性質)들을 논(論)하였고 $\S2$에서는 simple point와 국소(局所) 매개변수(媒介變數), 그리고 ${\Theta}_x$에서의 유리함수의 급수(級數) 등(等)을 이용(利用)하여 주정리(主定理)(정리(定理)9)를 증명(證明)하였다.

We give explicitly an average value formula under the multiplication-by-2 map for the x-coordinates of the 2-division points D on the Jacobian variety J(C) of a hyperelliptic curve C with genus g if $2D{\equiv}2P-2{\infty}$ (mod Pic(C)) for $P=(x_P,y_P){\in}C$ with $y_P{\neq}0$. Moreover, if g = 2, we give a more explicit formula for D such that $2D{\equiv}P-{\infty}$ (mod Pic(C)).

A new variety, Lecanorchis japonica var. insularis (Orchidaceae: Vanilloideae), a mycoheterotrophic orchid from Jejudo Island, Korea, is described and illustrated. It usually grows with L. japonica var. japonica, L. japonica var. hokurikuensis and L. kiusiana in evergreen forests. The newly described variety is distinguished from L. japonica vars. japonica, hokurikuensis, and kiiensis by having fully opened, larger flowers and an obtuse labellum apex.

Suppose L/K be a finite abelian extension of number fields of odd degree and suppose an abelian variety A defined over L is a K-variety. If the endomorphism algebra of A/L is a field F, the followings are equivalent : (1) The enodomorphiam algebra of the restriction of scalars from L to K is simple. (2) There is no proper subfield of L containing L^G_F on which A has a K-variety descent.

The Terracini t-locus of an embedded variety X ⊂ ℙ^r is the set of all cardinality t subsets of the smooth part of X at which a certain differential drops rank, i.e., the union of the associated double points is linearly dependent. We give an easy to check criterion to exclude some sets from the Terracini loci. This criterion applies to tensors and partially symmetric tensors. We discuss the non-existence of codimension 1 Terracini t-loci when t is the generic X-rank.
