Poly(3-Hydroxybutyric Acid)와 Chitosan 블렌드 필름의 기체 투과도, 유지 투과도 및 생분해도 (Gas and Lipid Permeabilities and Biodegradability of Poly(3-Hydroxybutyric Acid)/Chitosan Blend Film)

  • PHB/chitosan 필름의 수분 투과도는 PHB 필름께서 280.25 g/m$^2$ㆍ24 hr로 가장 높았고 chitosan의 함량이 증파할수록 수분 투과도는 낮아지는 경향을 보였다. PEG가 첨가된 PHB/chitosan 필름에서도 PHB-P 필름의 수분 투과도가 294.5 g/m$^2$ㆍ24 hr로 가장 높았고, chitosan의 함량이 증가할수록 수분 투과도는 낮아졌다. 산소 투과도의 경우 PHB 필름이 0.026${\times}$$10^{-10}$$cm^3$(STP) cm/$cm^2$ㆍsecㆍcmHg로 가장 높았으며 chitosan의 첨가 비율이 증가할수록 산소 투과도는 낮아졌다. 또한 가소제인 PEG가 첨가되지 않은 필름이 PEG가 첨가된 필름보다 산소 투과도가 더 낮았다. 유지 투과도에서는 PHB와 PHB-P를 제외한 필름들이 24시간동안 유지론 통과시키지 않아 유지 차단성이 우수한 것으로 나타났다. 필름의 생분해도 측정시 필름을 첨가하지 않은 대조군에 비해 필름이 첨가된 실험군의 산소 소모량이 높아 필름이 생분해되고 있음을 확인할 수 있었으며 필름의 PHB의 비율이 높을수록 분해도가 높은 것으로 나타났다.

Improvement in the Negative Bias Stability on the Water Vapor Permeation Barriers on ZnO-based Thin Film Transistors

  • In recent days, advances in ZnO-based oxide semiconductor materials have accelerated the development of thin-film transistors (TFTs), which are the building blocks for active matrix flat-panel displays including liquid crystal displays (LCD) and organic light-emitting diodes (OLED). In particular, the development of high-mobility ZnO-based channel materials has been proven invaluable; thus, there have been many reports of high-performance TFTs with oxide semiconductor channels such as ZnO, InZnO (IZO), ZnSnO (ZTO), and InGaZnO (IGZO). The reliability of oxide TFTs can be improved by examining more stable oxide channel materials. In the present study, we investigated the effects of an ALD-deposited water vapor permeation barrier on the stability of ZnO and HfZnO (HZO) thin film transistors. The device without the water vapor barrier films showed a large turn-on voltage shift under negative bias temperature stress. On the other hand, the suitably protected device with the lowest water vapor transmission rate showed a dramatically improved device performance. As the value of the water vapor transmission rate of the barrier films was decreased, the turn-on voltage instability reduced. The results suggest that water vapor related traps are strongly related to the instability of ZnO and HfZnO TFTs and that a proper combination of water vapor permeation barriers plays an important role in suppressing the device instability.

T800/AD6005계 복합재 연소관의 습기 투과에 관한 연구 (Water Vapor Transmission for T800/AD6005 Based Composite Motor Case)

  • 수분이 복합재를 통하여 투과되는 정도를 고찰하기 위하여 $20^{\cire}C$, 90%RH의 온/습도를 유지하는 수조를 제작하였고, 이 수조내에 보관한 복합재 연소관의 실린더 벽면으로 투과되는 습기를 측정하기 위하여 연소관 내에 습도 센서를 투입하여 상대습도를 직접 측정하였다. 습기의 투과는 내부에 라이너/인슬레이션이 피복 되거나 또는 추진제가 충전된 경우 많은 감소효과를 보였다. Epoxy filament winding으로 제조된 순수 복합재 연소관의 경우 수조에 넣고 평형에 도달한 후로부터 약 8개월 간의 습기 투과 상태를 볼 때 벽면을 통하여 들어가는 water vapor flux는 $20^{\cire}C$, 90%RH에서 평균적으로 2.88${\times}$$10^{-9}$g/$\textrm{m}^2$sec로 나타났다. 이때 습기가 투과되는 연소관의 국지점을 평판으로 가정하고 Fick's law를 이용하여 구한 습기에 대한 복합재의 확산계수는 D=7.98${\times}$$10^{-7}$$\textrm{mm}^2$/sec 였다. 밀폐된 장치 내의 습도 변화를 직접 측정하는 본 시험 방법은 실린더 형태 및 밀폐된 용기를 이루는 곡면형 재료의 환경에 따른 습기 투과량 및 재료의 확산 계수 측정에 유용할 것으로 생각된다.

환경 및 섬유 특성이 멀티레이어 직물시스템의 투습성에 미치는 영향 (Effects of Relative Humidity and Fiber Properties on the Moisture Permeability of Multilayer Fabric Systems)

  • This study aimed to determine the effects of relative humidity and fiber properties on the moisture permeability of multilayer systems by measuring water vapor transmission in the overlapping condition of various fabrics. The results confirmed that the property of the fabric in contact with the humid environment affects the moisture permeability. If the layer facing the humid environment is hydrophobic and the layer facing the dry environment is superhydrophobic, water vapor transmission increases by up to 17.8% compared to the opposite conditions. Comparing the correction values of the water vapor transmission reflecting the thickness of the specimen under the multilayer condition showed that permeability was higher when the hydrophilic or hydrophobic layer was facing the humid environment. The opposite was true from the "push-pull" effect of absorption mechanism. In the case of moisture permeability, the more hydrophilic the surface facing the humid environment, the more permeable that water vapor diffuses and passes through. It was concluded that the "pull-push" effect, in which water vapor diffuses widely through the hydrophilic facing a humid environment and then passes through the hydrophobic layer, contributes to the improvement of permeability. Permeability differed according to the multilayer overlapping condition. When the relative humidity was high, the "pull-push" effect was insignificant. This is caused by water droplets absorption after the partial migration of water due to condensation. These results suggest that the overlapping conditions and properties of fabrics should vary depending on heavy sweating or not.

  • To compare the water vapor transmission rate (WVTR) of PVA/Dextran blended hydrogel obtained by European Pharmacopiea (EP) and Japanese Industrial Standards 1099 (JIS) method, the hydrogels with various PVA/Dextran rates were prepared and their WVTR values were then checked. As dextran in the hydrogel was increased, the WVTR of hydrogel was increased. The WVTR of hydrogels were 660-1500 and $730-1900\;g/m^2$-day in EP and JIS method, respectively. There were no significant differences between the WVTRs of the hydrogels obtained by EP and those obtained by JIS method. Thus, JIS method was recommended as a WVTR method of hydrogel due to relatively simpler and shorter time.

  • 본 논문에서는 유기전자소자에서 사용되는 수분 차단막의 투습도 분석을 위하여 ytterbium의 광학적 전기적 특성을 연구하였다. Ytterbium 박막은 다양한 성막 두께(20-100 nm)에 따라 넓은 범위의 광투과도(70-10%)와 비저항($6.0-0.16m{\Omega}{\cdot}cm$) 값을 나타내었다. 25 nm의 ytterbium 박막은 수분과 반응하여 산화되며 투과도와 저항이 실시간으로 변화하였고 이를 통해 parylene 고분자와 aluminum nitride 적층형 박막 봉지 필름을 분석한 결과 $4.3{\times}10^{-3}g/m^2{\cdot}day$의 투습도를 측정할 수 있었다.

  • Experiments of 2 type on insulating compounds accomplished to change PVC using in URD(Underground) power cable jacketing. one was DB (Dielectric Breakdown) test on the pure base resins and the others were WVT(Water Vapor Transmission) test on the compounds which contained C/B(Carbon Black), anti-oxidant to base resin. a kind of specimens made by pressing to resin of pellet or lump form was HDPE(High Density Polyethylene), MDPE(Medium Density Polyehylene), LDPE(Low Density Polyethylene), LLDPE(Linear Low Density Polyethylene), PVC (Polyvinyl Chloride). As a results of AC DB and WVT test, we saw that strength of Insulation was HDPE > LLDPE ≒ MDPE > LDPE and WVT ratio was HDPE < LLDPE < MDPE < LLDPE ≒ LDPE${\ll}$PVC. WVT of PVC using for jacket showed characteristic 15 times more than MDPE or LLDPE. Therefore, to development of watertightness cable, our works present need of Changing in insulating materials

Single Crystalline NbO2 Nanowire Synthesis by Chemical Vapor Transport Method

  • We report for the first time the synthesis of niobium dioxide nanowires on a sapphire substrate by chemical vapor transport method. We identified single crystalline nature of as-synthesized nanowires by scanning electron microscopy and transmission electron microscopy. Niobium dioxide nanowires with their large surface-to-volume ratio and high activities can be employed for electrochemical catalysts and immunosensors. The Raman spectrum of niobium dioxide nanowires also confirmed their identity.

  • Plasma enhanced chemical vapor deposition(PE-CVD) method has an advantage in synthesizing carbon nanotubes(CNTs) at lower temperature compared with thermal enhanced chemical vapor deposition(TE-CVD) method. In this study, CNTs was prepared by using PE-CVD method. The growth rate of CNT was faster more than 100 times on using Invar alloy than iron as catalyst. It was found that chrome silicide was formed at the interface between chrome layer and silicon substrate which should be considered in designing process. Nanoparticles of Invar catalyst were found oxidized on their surfaces with a depth of 10 m. Microstructure was analyzed by scanning electron microscopy, transmission electron microscopy, scanning transmission electron microscopy, and energy dispersive x-ray spectrometry. Based on the result of analysis, growth mechanism at an initial stage was suggested.
