Comparative study about the user experience, product attitudes, and repurchase intention regarding smart phone UI(User Interface) in Korea and China (스마트폰의 UI(User Interface)에 대한 사용자 경험과 제품태도 및 재구매의도에 관한 한·중 비교 연구)

  • This study intends to look into the perception gap among Korean and Chinese consumers regarding the product attitudes toward smart phones and repurchase intention as well as the user experience. First, this study showed that there are gaps among Korean and Chinese consumers, regarding smart phones, toward their experiences of usage satisfaction, usefulness, design satisfaction, and evaluation from other people and that Chinese consumers have higher awareness of every experience element concerning UI than Korean consumers. Second, concerning the difference in the product attitudes toward smart phones, it turns out that Chinese consumers also have higher awareness of it than Korean consumers. Third, regarding the difference in repurchase intention for smart phones among Korean and Chinese consumers, this study shows that Chinese consumers are likely to have more intention than Korean consumers. because their average value is higher than Korean consumers' even though the difference are not statistically significant. This study is expected to have academic meaning(significance) for providing basic materials of comparative study between two countries regarding the user experience about smart phone as well as some useful implications for the competitive power improvement of Korean smart phone related companies in China.

  • The present study examines the role of subjectively perceived factors of the attitude toward web shopping in forming an intention to use a web shopping intention. An integrative research model is presented and tested empirically. It includes the following three aspects of belief in Davis' TAM: perceived usefulness, perceived ease of use, perceived enjoyment. Specially, internet self-efficacy, or the belief in one's capabilities to organize and execute courses of Internet actions required to produce given attainments, is a potentially important factor in efforts to gain more favorable attitude toward web shopping close the digital divide that separates experienced Internet users from novices. Prior research on Internet self-efficacy has been limited to examining specific task performance and narrow behavioral domains rather than overall attainments in relation to general Internet use, and has not yielded evidence of reliability and construct validity. Survey data were collected to develop a reliable operational measure of Internet self-efficacy and to examine its construct validity. Also, much previous research has established that perceived ease of use is an important factor influencing user acceptance and usage behavior of information technologies. However, very little research has been conducted to understand how that perception forms and changes over time. The present study examines that higher internet self-efficacy is more getting favorable web shopping attitude, and web shopping intention as more as usefulness, enjoyment through the internet.

Why do people leave SNS? : The Influences of the Users' Characteristics and SNS Fatigue (SNS를 떠나는 사람들 : 사용자의 특성과 SNS 피로감 중심으로 SNS 중단의향에 영향을 미치는 사용자 특성)

  • Recently, SNS users have begun to complain of fatigue attributed by the dependency on the Social Networking Services, and this trend seem to have them cease or leave the SNS despite its exponential growth. Although researchers devote their effort to identify negative effects of perceived SNS fatigue on the intention to keep using SNS, it still lacks dealing with users' personal characteristics. Thus, this study looked into (1) the differences of perceived SNS fatigue and the differences of intention to leave SNS based on the users' characteristics (demographic variables, personality traits, and SNS usages) and (2) the users' characteristics on the intention to discontinue SNS. The results show that the users with low self-esteem were more likely to feel higher SNS fatigue and to discontinue SNS than those with high self-esteem, and the users in 20s showed higher intention to discontinue SNS than those in 40s. Moreover, the younger the users were, and the lower the levels of self-esteem were, the users reported higher level of fatigue. Additionally, the female users showed that the higher the level of fatigue, the stronger intentions to discontinue SNS. This research sheds light on the fact that the characteristics of users give influences the intention to discontinue SNS, and is expected to suggest practical implications in the ever-expanding SNS market.

The Effects of the Favorability of Korean Food on the Favorability of Korean Wave, Country Image, and Visit Intention to Korea : Focused on Young Vietnamese (한식콘텐츠 이용 경험자에게 형성된 한식호감도가 한류호감도, 국가이미지, 한국 방문의도에 미치는 영향 : 베트남 2030세대를 중심으로)

  • The purpose of this study was to explore the effects of Korean food contents influence to the Korean wave favorability, country image, and visit intention to Korea. Korean food contents are defined as that information or contents related with Korea food. In this survey, total 4 type of Korean food contents, Korean food recipe contents, Korean food culture story contents, Korean food restaurant guide contents and Korean food media contents were explained. The respondents were 147 young Vietnamese in residing in Ho Chi Minh city. The data were analyzed by PLS-SEM to explore influence of Korean food favorability with Korean food contents usage. After using Korean food contents, Korean food favorability influence country image and visit intention to Korea, mediating with Korean wave favorability. While Korean food favorability was not shown to influence visit intention directly. This study would contribute to make strategic Korean food contents and distribution, further accord with Hansik Globalization.

  • The objective of this research is to identify the factors which influence users' intention to use mobile Internet. There are lots of researches based on Technology Acceptance Model trying to identify the factors which have influence on accepting mobile Internet and its related services. These researches, however, have some limitation in the sense that they focus only on the features of mobile Internet itself while users make overall decision after the comparison of a new service channel with existing service channels in many directions. Therefore, we are going to analyze the impact of users' perception on the difference between mobile and stationary Internet toward their intention to use mobile Internet. We identified the features like ubiquitous availability, context awareness, compatibility, friendliness, and economic value from literature review and developed a structural model about the impact of users' perception on the differences of these features between mobile and stationary Internet toward their intention to use mobile Internet through mediate variables such as perceived ease of use, perceived playfulness, and perceived usefulness. After that, we conducted an experimental analysis for the model, and addressed a solution to rev up the usage of mobile Internet based on the results of the analysis.

  • Internet only banking has been spreading rapidly since it was first introduced in Korea since 2017, but issues regarding its limitations continuously are rising. In this research, consumers' intention to switch have been empirically demonstrated toward the internet banking by applying the PPM theory. To achieve a purpose of the research, survey targeting total 132 person who have experiences of using KaKaobank have been implemented by using Smart PLS 3.0. In conclusion, it has been verified that the push and full effect have a positive effect on the consumers' intention to switch main bank and the degree of usage of KaKaobank have significantly influences on relation between mooring factor and consumers' intention to switch main bank. Through this study, the scope of the PPM theory applied in previous researches regarding consumer's service transition shall be extended to Fintech service and practically it provides implications for establishing a strategy to enter the Internet only bank market.

  • With the development and spread of smart devices, the proportion of mobile shopping is gradually increasing, and the market for mobile gift certificates is also increasing. This study examines the usage status and acceptance attitude of mobile gift certificates for university students who are major customers of mobile gift certificates. Also, based on the extended integrated technology acceptance model (UTAUT2), the results of the analysis of the mediating effect of the intention of the user on the relationship between acceptance of mobile vouchers and recommendation intention were presented. As a result of the analysis, it was shown that the effort expectation, hedonic motivation, price utility, and habit had significant influence on the intention to use the mobile gift certificates. Also, the intention to use mobile gift certificates has mediating effects between effort expectation, hedonic motivation, price utility and recommendation intention. The results of this study can be applied to strategic marketing such as recruitment of new customers through mobile gift certificates while explaining customers' acceptance of technology to mobile gift vouchers or future prospective customers.

  • Cloud computing is getting a lot of attention by many people and businesses due to IT environmental changes such as the proliferation of smart devices, the increase of digital data, and the cost of IT resources. More individuals use personal cloud computing services for storing and managing information and data. Therefore, this study proposed determinants that are expected to have an influence on evaluating the value of cloud computing based on the value-based adoption model, examining the relationship between the continuous use intention of cloud computing. Results of the study show that usefulness, convenience of information access, extensibility had a positive impact on perceived value while privacy concerns and costs had a negative impact on perceived value. In addition, perceived value was found to have a significant effect on the intention to continue use of cloud computing. Finally, trust was found to have a significant effect on the perceived value and the intention to continue use of cloud computing. The findings are expected to provide useful information for understanding the factors that individual users consider important in the steadily growing cloud computing market.

  • In this survey paper, we attempt to introduce the subjects of fuzzy logic and neural network technology for flight control systems based on completed and ongoing research programs other developed countries. Also, it is prepared with intention of providing the reader with an overview of related topics and a basic concepts of fuzzy logic and neural network control. The focus is on relatively practical control schemes realistically applicable in the area of flight control system design that could find its usage in the near future in our country. It is hoped that this paper will serve as a useful reference and even concepts provide solutions far current problems and future designs.

User Resistance in the Adoption of Open Source Software

  • The emergence of open source software (OSS) with its successful projects and its most prominent advantages creates a vast interest among academics and practitioners. However, it has been found that focusing on the developments of OSS to be successful is not adequate and the adoption of OSS by uses is also very important. Although there are a great number of useful and easy to use OSS has been developed, the adoption of OSS and usage in the market is very low. Based on the technology equity implementation model (EIM), this study examines user resistance in the adoption of OSS (i.e., switching from the current system to OSS). A survey has done regarding the adoption of Linux as the case of study. We have found that user resistance to change has negative effect on adoption intention, and switching benefits, switching costs and perceived value have significant relationships with user resistance to change.
