  • Purpose: The purpose of this research is a comparative study of the actual, the perceptive and the ideal body shape of the obese and non-obese female in their twenties and thirties Methods: The actual, the perceptive and the ideal body shape of the obese female and the non-obese female were collected and statistically analyzed in 25-34 years old. Results: In 25-29 years old the obese group and the non-obese group shows considerable difference in the weight, abdomen, calf circumstance in their actual body shape, but they recognize similar size as their ideal body shape in the hip, thigh and calf circumstances. They recognized that they are fatter than the actual body shape in the thigh, hip, and calf circumstances in common. In 30-34 years old the obese group and the non-obese group shows considerable difference in the weight, upper arm, abdomen, hip, thigh, calf circumstances in the actual body shape, but they recognize similar size as their ideal body shape in the thigh, hip, and calf circumstances. They recognized that they are fatter than the actual body shape in the weight, upper arm circumstances in common. Conclusion: These new data about body shape in 25-34 years women could be adopt as a useful clinical tool for body image related patients such as obesity, PCOD and postpartum patient in Korean women.

  • Let P be a prime ideal of a commutative unital ring R; X an indeterminate; D := R/P; L the quotient field of D; F an algebraic closure of L; ${\alpha}$ ${\in}$ L[X] a monic irreducible polynomial; ${\xi}$ any root of in F; and Q = ${\alpha}$>, the upper to P with respect to ${\alpha}$. Then R[X]/Q is R-algebra isomorphic to $D[{\xi}]$; and is R-isomorphic to an overring of D if and only if deg(${\alpha}$) = 1.

  • Let ${\mathcal{H}}$ be an infinite dimensional separable Hilbert space with a fixed orthonormal base $\{e_1,e_2,{\cdots}\}$. Let L be the subspace lattice generated by the subspaces $\{[e_1],[e_1,e_2],[e_1,e_2,e_3],{\cdots}\}$ and let $Alg{\mathcal{L}}$ be the algebra of bounded operators which leave invariant all projections in ${\mathcal{L}}$. Let p and q be natural numbers (p < q). Let ${\mathcal{A}}$ be a linear manifold in $Alg{\mathcal{L}}$ such that $T_{(p,q)}=0$ for all T in ${\mathcal{A}}$. If ${\mathcal{A}}$ is a Lie ideal, then $T_{(p,p)}=T_{(p+1,p+1)}={\cdots}=T_{(q,q)}$ and $T_{(i,j)}=0$, $p{\eqslantless}i{\eqslantless}q$ and i < $j{\eqslantless}q$ for all T in ${\mathcal{A}}$.

  • This note focuses on a ring property in which upper and lower nilradicals coincide, as a generalizations of symmetric rings. The concept of symmetric ideal and ring in the noncommutative ring theory was initially introduced by Lambek, as an extension of the usual commutative ideal theory. The investigation of symmetric rings provided many useful results to the study in the noncommutative ring theory. So the results obtained from this study may be applicable to observing the structure of zero divisors in various kinds of algebraic systems containing matrix rings and polynomial rings.

  • A patient underwent reconstruction of skin and soft tissue using V-Y advancement of a superior ulnar collateral artery perforator flap after resection of the scar tissue on the upper arm. Successful flap healing was observed without complications. The medial side of the upper arm is an ideal donor site because of its thin, elastic, and hairless skin, resulting in a well-hidden scar. The elasticity of the medial side of the upper arm allows primary closure after flap elevation. The superior ulnar collateral artery perforator flap is an option for reconstruction of the upper arm.

  • PTMSP-silica composite membranes were prepared by addition of 0, 15, 20, and 30 wt% TEOS (tetraethoxysilane), TMOS (tetramethoxysilane), MTMOS (methyltrimethoxysilane), and PTMOS (phenyltrimethoxysilane) contents to PTMSP using sol-gel process. The gas permeability of the composite membranes for $H_2$, $N_2$ and ideal selectivity for $H_2$ over $N_2$ were investigated as a function of alkoxysilane content. The permeabilities for $H_2$ and $N_2$ increased in the range of alkoxysilane contents 0~20 wt%, however decrease the range of 20~30 wt%. The ideal selectivities for $H_2$ over $N_2$ decreased in the range of TEOS and PTMOS contents 0~15 wt%, but increased in the range of 15~30 wt%. When compared to the upper bound of Robeson, PTMSP-silica composite membranes with TEOS content of 30 wt%, MTMOS content of 20 wt% and PTMOS content of 30 wt% turned out to be a simultaneous improvement in ideal selectivity and permeability.

  • The purpose of this study was to compare ideal clothing and actual clothing behavior between Korean and Japanese college students. 185 Korean students and 91 Japanese students were used into data analysis from October to December. 2000. The age range was 18 to 28 years. The results were as followed. 1) Japanese students wanted to wear fitted clothing styles with revealing the body, while Koreans wanted to wear not only fitted styles but also relaxed and coved body styles. 2) Korean students wore more loose styles and fitted upper styles and pants than Japanese students. On the other hand, Japanese students wore fitted clothing styles and skirt. 3) Japanese students showed higher correlation between ideal clothing styles and actual clothing styles than Koreans. This means that although Koreans want to wear ideal styles, they don't wear those styles much. 4) Overweight students tended to avoid wearing fitted and revealed body styles, pursuing more loose and coved body styles. This tendency showed stronger to Koreans than Japanese students.

  • Let D be an integrally closed domain with quotient field K, X be an indeterminate over D, $f=a_0+a_1X+{\cdots}+a_nX^n{\in}D[X]$ be irreducible in K[X], and $Q_f=fK[X]{\cap}D[X]$. In this paper, we show that $Q_f$ is a maximal ideal of D[X] if and only if $(\frac{a_1}{a_0},{\cdots},\frac{a_n}{a_0}){\subseteq}P$ for all nonzero prime ideals P of D; in this case, $Q_f=\frac{1}{a_0}fD[X]$. As a corollary, we have that if D is a Krull domain, then D has infinitely many height-one prime ideals if and only if each maximal ideal of D[X] has height ${\geq}2$.

  • The purpose of this study is to study real body size and ideal body shape by considering the degree of satisfaction of body part and understanding body size by the degree of leanness/obesity. The subjects in this study were 420 males from 18 to 25 years old. Body measurements and surveys were taken and analyzed by mean, standard variation, correlation analysis, regression analysis, crosstabulation analysis, cluster analysis, one-way ANOVA, and Duncan's Test. The results of analyses indicate that the subjects tended to be satisfied with thick chest and upper limbs, wide shoulder width, and preferred to be tall and have big hands and feet. By cluster analysis of 19 variables, the subjects were divided into 4 groups, each consisting 41, 138, 134, and 47 males. Because the 19 variables were body measurements transformed to eliminate the body size factor, this classification was considered to express how lean or how obese a human body appears. The results of one way ANOVA and Duncan's Test indicate that, according to the degree of leanness/obesity from Group I (lean tendency) to Group IV(obese tendency), characteristics of the body shape changed as follows; height became lower, limbs became shorter, trunk and limbs became thicker and weight became heavier. Also it showed that Group IV were most satisfied with chest girth, upper limb girth and shoulder width and Group I with height, hip girth and waist girth.
