The effects of temperature and salinity on tile rates of ammonia and amino nitrogen excretion, and oxygen consumption were measured for Crassostrea gigas. There was variability with temperature and salinity changes in both the rates of nitrogen excretion and the proportionality between ,ammonia and amino acids in the excreta, and also in the rates of oxygen consumption. Rates of nitrogen excretion and oxygen consumption were markedly decreased with increase in salinity, especially at high salinity-high temperature, whereas at low salinity-high temperature condition they were significantly increased. These changes are considered as the responses of physiological tolerances to the high temperature stress and the results of the metabolic temperature compensation at the low salinity-high temperature condition. Most of nitrogenous excretory products was ammonia, and large amounts of amino-nitrogen was excreted, and especially the rate of amino-nitrogen excretion was dominant at $32.5\%_{\circ}-22^{\circ}C$. The amounts of amino-nitrogen excreted by animals were decreased in the medium of high salinity and increased in the medium of low salinity through the experimental temperature. The atomic ratios of oxygen consumed to ammonia-nitrogen excreted (O: N ratio) was low at the low temperature $(15^{\circ}C)$, and was high at $22^{\circ}$ and $29^{\circ}C$ in the medium of 32.5 and $37.5\%_{\circ}$ but low in the low salinity $27.5\%_{\circ}$.
Early morphological changes of Omobranchus slogans (STEINDACHNER) (Family Blennidae) were studied based on the samples of 125 individuals collected from Changseon channel of Nam-hae in June 1973 and May 1979. Descriptions were made with particular emphasis on developmental changes of supraorbital region, fin rays, development of chromatophores and the preopercular spine. In the early stages the lateral profile of the supraorbital region is perpendicular to tile sagittal plane, however, in the later stages it becomes curved. In the early stage of 5.55 mm in total length the number of soft rays of dorsal fin is 18, and that of the anal fin 15. Ventral fin first appears as a premoidal proturberance. It fully developes into a fin composed of two soft rays in the stages of 12.9 mm in total length. The caudal fin rays first appear in the ventral part and in the stages of 6.15 mm in total length it gets one or two soft rays which bear 1-2 segments. In the later stages each ray bears more than 5 segments. Melanophores first appear as two black spots on the central part of the head. They are distributed on the opercle and the antero-dorsal surface of the trunk in the stage of 18mm in total length. At this stage the general chromatophore. pattern is identical to the adult stage. The anal fin bears melanophores at the basal part of the rays, and it is one of the remarkable morphological characters of this species. In early stages the preopercular spine develops reaching the basal part of the pectoral fin. In the later stages of 15 mm in total length relative length of the spine decreases to total length, and ie reaches only the distal margin of the opercular.
T7 bacteriophage gp4 is the replicative DNA helicase that unwinds double-stranded DNA by utilizing dTTP hydrolysis energy. The quaternary structure of the active form of T7 helicase is a hexameric ring with a central channel. Single-stranded DNA passes through the central channel of the hexameric ring as the helicase translocates $5'\rightarrow3'$ along the single-stranded DNA. The DNA unwinding was measured by rapid kinetic methods and showed a lag before the single-stranded DNA started to accumulate exponentially. This behavior was analyzed by a kinetic stepping model for the unwinding process. The observed lag phase increased as predicted by the model with increasing double-stranded DNA length. Trap DNA added in the reaction had no effect on the amplitudes of double-stranded DNA unwound, indicating that the $\tau7$ helicase is a highly processive helicase. Global fitting of the kinetic data to the stepping model provided a kinetic step size of 10-11 bp/step with a rate of $3.7 s^{-1}$ per step. Both the mechanism of DNA unwinding and dTTP hydrolysis and the coupling between the two are unaffected by temperature from $4∼37^{\circ}C$. Thus, the kinetic stepping for dsDNA unwinding is an inherent property of tile replicative DNA helicase.
This thesis assumes that the teaching objective of the Probability unit of the 8th grade textbook under the 7th National Curriculum is to enhance the ability to analyze and utilize informations. And we examine them if this point of view is fully reflected. Based on the analysis of the textbook analysis, followings are found. 1) It is necessary to emphasize more enumerating all possible cases and to induce formulae counting the number of possible cases through organizing them 2) The probability is to be decribed more clearly as a likelihood of events and to be introduced and followed through various students' experiences and the relative frequencies. Less emphasis on probability computations, while more emphasis on probability comparisons of events are recommended. 3) The term "influential events"(a kind of stochastic correlation) is ambiguous. It is necessary to make clear what it means at tile level of the 8th grade or to discard it for it is to be learned at the 10th grade again. Especially, contingency table has been introduced at the 9th grade under the 7th National Curriculum. 4) Uses of the likelihood principle in making a decision and in learning the reliability of it should be encouraged. And students are to team the hazard of transitive inferences in probability comparisons. As a consequence of above, we feel that textbook authors and related stakeholder are to be more serious about the behavioral changes of students that may come along with the didactics of specific contents of school mathematics.

1. Introduction Community medicine with the concept of comprehensive medical care and an ideal medical care delivery system not only for an individual or family but for the whole community has emerged. In April 1970, the Presbyterian Medical Center started a hospital based community health service project in order to improve the health of the people in rural areas. Prior to commencing a comprehensive medical care system, a family survey was needed. The major objective of this survey was to obtain information concerning the people and their environment so as to be able to plan and implement a comprehensive medical care program in Soyang-Myun. 2. Survey Method An interview using a family record form was carried out for each household. This family record form was designed to get information about demography, family planning, environmental sanitation and vital statistics. Prior to beginning, the members of the survey team were trained in interviewing techniques for three days. The team consisted of a public health nurse, four nurse-aides, a sanitarian and four health extension workers who are working in our project, The survey was carried out during the period November 1971 to March 1972. 3. Now in order to overcome the weakest points of the rural areas of the city of Kimje and, transform them into rural cultural villages which have local governing systems suitable to new localization age and activate this plan, we selected Daesan Village as a model village which had shown a lot of potentials in the basic research and studied it dividing it into the former part and the latter part. We studied Daesan village in the former part focusing on state analysis and basic ideas and in the latter part focusing on master plan and detail planning. We can summarize the conclusion like the followings. 1. Daesan Village located 8 kilometer away from the downtown Kimje and the city of Iksan respectably has comparatively good environment of good sunny place as an open field whose surrounding configuration of the ground consists of farming lands and low hills in front and rear. It has 38 farming households in all. 2. Human environment(인문환경); the village road whose width is about 4 meters is forming a flow system forking off into three. There is a route bus which operates three times a day even into the inside of the village. The main sources of revenue are vegetables in facilities, fruits and floriculture. Their average revenue is about 10.5 million won. 3. Here in DaeSan Village a legend dealing with Teasan literally meaning a big mountain consist of th village's tradition and you can see the tombs of a very faithful son and Anwi an army general in the age of the Japanese Invasion of Korea of 1592 to 1598 inside the village. 4. 85 out of the eitire population 141 whose age are over 20 showed very positive attitudes in a questionnaire about, making the village a cultural one and its development. 5. The basic of planned ideas is to increase the revenue of the farming household by making the village a professional farming one which has a state-of the-art production facility and agricultural technique. It is to make the village the one where people can enjoy the sense of the rural life and the farmer can enjoy their lives through consumptive and consistant leisure and resting activities. 6. We are planning to make entrance space, life space, rest and sport space, and cultural space considering the characteristics of the village and the demand of the resident. We are also planning to make tile entire city of Kimje an information transmitting base in short and long term perspectives. 7. DaeSan Village was planned as a place where tradition and the future exist together. On the basis of this concept we planned future programs for Daesan Village and in the latter part of the study master plans and detail plans will be continued.the regional agricultural condition. The development permissions were only during the period of restricted to use ($1979.12{\sim}1993.11$). We propose that the authority of development permission should be given to the local autonomy government, because the local government has the knowledge of its individual agricultural conditions.
This experiment was conducted to know the effects of abnormal cocoons on the silk quality during the silk reeling process. The results obtained are summarized as follows: 1. The length, the width, the weight, the layer weight, and the layer ratio of abnormal cocoons are in every case 0.83∼4.65% less than those of normal cocoons. 2. The thickness of the abnormal cocoon layer is at)out 20.62∼22.4% less than that of the normal cocoon. 3. The sericin solubility of tile abnormal cocoon layer is about 11.75∼30% more than that of the normal cocoon layer. 4. The degumming ratio of the abnormal cocoon layer is about 6.51∼9.32% more than that of the normal cocoon layer. 5. The length of a have, the weight of a tave and percentage of raw silk yield of the abnormal cocoon are decreased 9.43%, 8.53% and 6.72% each as compared with those of the normal cocoon. 6. The percentage of reelability of abnormal cocoons is decreased 9.58% as compared with that of normal cocoons. 7. The neatness of abnormal cocoons is 3 per cent lower than that of normal cocoons. 8. In the cleanness test of abnormal cocoons, the number of split ends i9 about 1.5∼3.8 times as much as that of normal cocoons. Especially cleanness of abnormal cocoons is 16,3 per cent lower than that of normal cocoons. 9. The number of non-reelable cocoons of abnormal cocoons is increased 1.4∼5.5 times as much as that of normal cocoons. In abnormal cocoon, the number of knot which resulted in the breaking of silk end is increased 1.9∼3.5 times as much as that in normal cocoon.
These works were conducted to investigate the differences of assimilatory productivity under various conditions of cultivation in mulberry trees with the punch method based on dry matter production. The results obtained are as follow: 1. The dry matter of mulberry leaves at 150cm to 200cm high in the morning and from 50cm to 100cm high in the afternoon were higher than other conditions. 2. In daily change of assimilatory, the production of the leaves from 150 cm to 200 cm high in the morning and from 50 cm to 100 cm high in tile afternoon were higher than other conditions. 3. The largest amount of leaf dry matter was produced in south outside of mulberry field, next east outside, and others showed on differences. 4. Increased assimilatory production was occured greatly not only east side of mulberry field from 7 A.M to 10 A.M but also south side of mulberry field from 10 A.M to 1 P.M. 5. In comparison of dry matter production of leaves among varieties, Suwon-sang No. 4 showed greatest amount and followed Sipyung, Kaeryangsuban, Rosang in order. In the varietal differences of assimilatory production per day, Suwonsang No. 4 was greatest and followed Kaeryrangsuban, Sipyung, Rosang in order, 6. Both of the rate of increasing leaf dry matter and net assimilation per day were greatest in the one-half cutting plot and some decreased in one-third cutting plot, in non-cutting plot in order.
The studies were intended to clarify the correlations between the characters and the influences upon yield of mulberry trees. The analysis of covariance was used to obtain the genotypic correlations and phenotypic correlations among the eight characters namely branch length, node number, branch diameter, branch number per stock, total branch weight, old branch weight, new shoot and leaf weight, etc., and path-coefficients were calculated by Dewey's method (5). The results obtained are summarized as follows: 1. Genotypic correlations were slightly higher than the corresponding phenotypic correlations between tile characters as shown in Table 1. It could be indicated that hight leaf yield was genetically correlated with almost all characters studied except branch diameter. 2. Leaf yield of mulberry trees was mainly associated with the characters such as node number per branch, total branch weight and old branch weight, etc. 3. Branch length, branch diameter, branch number per stock and new shoot weight had little direct influence upon yield but it had rather considerable indirect in fluence upon yield by increasing the node number and total branch weight per stock. As a result, it can be concluded that total branch weight is primarily determined by branch number per stock and old branch weight, and in turn the leaf yield of mulberry trees is secondary determined by the node number by increasing the branch diameter and length which are positively correlated with branch number per stock and new shoot weight of mulberry trees.
