This study is to make suggestions on the type and operation of community life SOC projects suitable for the use of idle facilities in elementary and secondary schools. To this end, we analyzed the types and operation of desirable utilization facilities according to regional characteristics through the analysis of cases utilizing Japanese idle classrooms and closed schools. As a result of the study, in areas with excellent accessibility to residents such as old downtowns and towns, libraries, entrepreneurship counseling and exhibition spaces, and lifelong education centers were desirable as part of the residents' convenience facilities. It was found that the facilities that could be used with families, such as an experiential training center, were being utilized.

MICE (Meetings, Incentive trip, Convention and Exhibition & Event) industry is a multifaceted industry with a variety of stakeholders including the public and private sectors, and PCOs (Professional Convention Organizers) play a mediating role in communicating opinions of the stakeholders. For enhancing their reliability and awareness, PCOs have their stakeholders' hyperlinks on the websites. This study attempted to analyze the hyperlink networks among PCOs (Professional Convention Organizers) and their stakeholders so as to understand the MICE industry ecosystem and find out whether the network structure of PCOs' shows different levels of hyperlink use with their stakeholders' websites based upon PCO's performance and size. The results showed the hyperlink network of MICE industry and that the bigger PCOs have higher centralities in the network.

Along with research into the latest preservation treatments for items of cultural heritage, studies of the preservation environment and the effect of damage are also increasing. This study conducted comprehensive research into the temperature, humidity, acids, ammonia, reduced sulfur compounds, aldehydes with various ingredients in the exhibition hall, show case, and storage of three type museum. As a result, temperature, humidity, TVOCs, acetaldehyde frequently exceeded the domestic and international standards for a museum preservation environment and indoor air quality. Also, formaldehyde, chloride, and ammonia exceeded the standards intermittently. Temperature, humidity, TVOCs, acetaldehyde were evaluated to be the major influential factors. In order to control the major factors, apart from temperature and humidity, that cause damage in the museum environment, it is deemed necessary to complement this system with an effective air filter or remover.

Recently, many researchers have studied on agent-based edutainment systems to improve students' learning experience. In this paper, we present AR Gardening which makes users experience interactive flower gardening with a bluebird, a learning companion agent, squatting in an augmented picture. The proposed system augments the animated bluebird to support interactive edutainment experiences. The bluebird perceives users' actions as well as environmental situations. It then appraises situational information to provide participants with problem-solving guidelines. Moreover, the bluebird responds like a companion than an instructor through anthropomorphic expression. To demonstrate our work, we exhibited the implemented AR Gardening and reviewed participants' responses to the system. In this exhibition, we could find that the learning companion-like bluebird helped users experience how to properly grow the flower in our educational setting. Ultimately, we expect that an augmented peer learning agent is one of the key factors for developing effective edutainment applications.

The building infrastructures such as high-rise buildings, shopping malls, exhibition centers, etc. are becoming larger in magnitude and more complex in complexity. Considering a large number of tenants and visitors are staying in these facilities, it is upper most important to keep those in safe from fire outbreak. In this paper, a u-Disaster Prevention System has been presented to provide effective fire evacuation when fire breaks out in building infrastructures. The ubiquitous sensor network (USN) technology was applied to detect heat and smoke from fire outbreak. The information then is transmitted wirelessly to a host computer. The tenants and visitors residing in the facility can evacuate following the instruction that is displayed in LED sign boards of the u-Disaster Prevention System. A case study shows that the ubiquitous environment can help people evacuate faster in time, shorter in distance with the assistance of the u-Disaster Prevention System.

This paper proposes a hybrid tour path planning system for multiple visitors in a museum. The proposed path planning system merges individual user profiles into a group profile by exploiting the multiplicative utilization algorithm. It then generates a tour path for the users based on mixed initiative decision of the system and the involved visitors. It automatically selects visiting sites when group users have highly similar preferences while it asks users to select their appropriate visiting sites among available sites when their preferences are different. We developed the hybrid path planning system based on a tabletop display and evaluated it with four different exhibition settings and 11 participants. We found that the mixed decision of the system and users was useful in building a tour path for a group of visitors.

The purpose of this study is an analysis about space of housing cultural center with the marketing based on experience. By changing housing market, housing cultural center is a place to give an information, added value, image of housing. Consumers who experience a housing cultural center have an effect on purchase an apartment. The image of enterprise is important to select commodities to consumers. Today, company's brand image and concept include womanish, worthy and, sensual those. Under these views, housing cultural center should have continuous culture spaces that provide various experiential chance for consumers. The methods of this study are an analysis of brand image, analysis and application of experiential elements for housing cultural center. The results of this study have five parts. First, in Sense part, there are presented the sense of sight, smell and touch include material's color, finishing material, sound and etc. Second, in Feel part, consumers feel friendly and comfortable to brand through synesthesia. And they have a liberal mind about brand. Third, in Think part, consumers can experience a brand's image as a subject of event or space. Forth, in Act part, consumer is acted to scale of a space and aim of exhibition. Finally, in Relation part, consumers can have relation each other who visit Housing cultural center. And they can joint for interchange of information, culture enjoyment. In conclusion, this study has a great value of graft marketing view on the planning of Housing cultural center.

Hongdong Herstory in an narrative-based archival activities. This Herstory Workshop designed by a facilitator who is using her love for language and storytelling to empower all voices. Herstory Workshop has been opened at winter every year for a month. The place where the workshop opened is located at farming area. Hongdong Herstory Workshop has been the field where the members of the community having a talk together. 20 women have been participated at the Herstory Workshop. Herstory projects have been published every year. This essay is an trial for rearchiving the herstory projects. This essay focused on the narrative function of archives.

The purpose of this study was to investigate science high-school students' creativity and scientific attitude when an integrated science, technology, engineering and mathematics (STEM) project themed 'lighting of quantum dot solution' was applied to them. The subjects were a one team composed of 3 students in the 11th grade desiring to participate in the Korea Science Exhibition. They began with a scientific inquiry related to the physical properties of the QD solution and then gradually showed the process of expansion of their ideas into the integration of engineering, technology, and mathematics. Also, during the process, they showed problem solving ability and scientific attitudes, such as cooperation, endurance, and satisfaction of accomplishment.

From 1998 Seoul city is being rebuilt for 'the city which people want to go around on foot'. Many streets only for cars have been transformed for pedestrians. In addition to that streets are built not only just to pass by, but also enjoy themselves, so 8 Streets in Seoul have been redecorated as 'Streets of History and Culture'. These Streets are chosen because they have their own unique history or culture, so they are remodeled with lightings, exhibition pavilions or sign postings etc except manhole covers. Even these 8 streets have manhole covers; they are not particular, just same as like other streets. For most streets manhole cover is an essential component of them, but it is mostly omitted to be designed in particular. For the most time some of the standard manhole covers are installed in a street. Taking a look at manholes in Minneapolis city, they inform visitors what the landmark, landscape, symbol, representative flower or tree of the city is. Sometimes they are designed by famous artists and become art which all pedestrian can enjoy. If manhole covers in 'the streets of history and culture' are designed to represent its history or culture, visitors will get information about there easily and enjoy their design. To foster manhole cover designs, the government office should co-work with professional designers or design societies and encourage people to spend a certain amount of the construction cost to design manhole covers. At school designing manhole cover can be handled in an art class and besides can have a class in the field, streets to observe manhole cover designs. Getting more concern of manhole cover design, competitions and exhibitions are able to be held.
