  • Recently, the research and discussion to set up the evaluation standard for nor impact noises in multistory residential buildings has been vividly carried out In Korea. Therefore, the correlation between the methods and auditory responses was investigated through this research to investigate the applicability of the L index evaluation method and the reverse A characteristics evaluation method that are listed in JIS A 1419 since Japanese circumstance are similar to Korean after evaluating the duality of Korean multistory residential buildings. As a result, it was found that the correlation between the value resulted from L index evaluation and the value from reverse A characteristics evaluation is high. In addition, it was also revealed that human responses to each Impacter was similar. Consequently, it is considered th:31 the tendency about the two methods would be similar.

  • Continuing advances in the formulation and solution of risk-sensitive control problems have reached a point at which this topic is becoming one of the more intriguing modern paradigms of feedback thought. Despite a prevailing atmosphere of close scrutiny of theoretical studies, the risk-sensitive body of knowledge is growing. Moreover, from the point of view of applications, the detailed properties of risk-sensitive design are only now beginning to be worked out. Accordingly, the time seems to be right for a survey of the historical underpinnings of the subject. This paper addresses the beginnings and the evolution, over the first quarter-century or so, and points out the close relationship of the topic with the notion of optimal cost cumulates, in particular the cost variance. It is to be expected that, in due course, some duality will appear between these notions and those in estimation and filtering. The purpose of this document is to help to lay a framework for that eventuality.

  • In the catagory of t-modules the Carlitz module C plays the role of $G_m$ in the category of group schemes. For a finite t-module G which corresponds to a finite group scheme, Taguchi [T] showed that Hom (G, C) is the "right" dual in the category of finite- t-modules which corresponds to the Cartier dual of a finite group scheme. In this paper we show that for Drinfeld modules (i.e., t-modules of dimension 1) of rank 2 there is a natural way of defining its dual by using the extension of drinfeld module by the Carlitz module which is in the same vein as defining the dual of an abelian varietiey by its $G_m$-extensions. Our results suggest that the extensions are the right objects to define the dual of arbitrary t-modules.t-modules.

  • The purpose of this study was to construct the management information system for supporting the supervision of construction workplace. For the purpose, firstly, this study surveyed the present states and the problems of construction workplace in Korea. And then, defined the range and the process of the supervision of construction workplace, and examined the information standards of construction and the CALS standards for supporting. As a result, this study proposed the first stage of management information system, which consists of several basic functions, such as, document management, system management and partially, duality management and construction information management.

  • Limit analysis has been rendered versatile in many problems such as structural problems and metal forming problems. In metal forming analysis, a slip-line method and an upper bound method approach to limit solutions is considered as the most challenging areas. In the present work, a general algorithm for limit solutions of plastic flow is developed with the use of finite element limit analysis. The algorithm deals with a generalized Holder inequality, a duality theorem, and a combined smoothing and successive approximation in addition to a general procedure for finite element analysis. The algorithm is robust such that from any initial trial solution, the first iteration falls into a convex set which contains the exact solution(s) of the problem. The idea of the algorithm for limit solution is extended from rigid/perfectly-plastic materials to work-hardening materials by the nature of the limit formulation, which is also robust with numerically stable convergence and highly efficient computing time.

  • This linear fractional - quadratic bilevel programming problem, in which the leader's objective function is a linear fractional function and the follower's objective function is a quadratic function, is studied in this paper. The leader's and the follower's variables are related by linear constraints. The derivations of the optimality conditions are based on Kuhn-Tucker conditions and the duality theory. It is also shown that the original linear fractional - quadratic bilevel programming problem can be solved by solving a standard linear fractional program and the optimal solution of the original problem can be achieved at one of the extreme point of a convex polyhedral formed by the new feasible region. The algorithm is illustrated with the help of an example.

  • This paper apollos an ant colony system (ACS) for the vehicle routing problem with time window (VRPTW). The VRPTW is a generalization of the VRP where the service of a customer can begin within the time windows defined by the earliest and latest times when the customer will permit the start of service. The ACS has been applied effectively in geographical environment such as TSP or VRP by meta-heuristic that imitate an ant's biologic special duality in route construction, 3 saving based ACS (SB-ACS) is introduced and its solution is improved by local search. Through iterative precesses, the SB-ACS is shown to drive the best solution. The algorithm has been tested on 56 Solomon benchmarking problems and compared to the best-known solutions on literature. Experimental results shows that SB-ACS algorithm could obtain food solution in total travel distance minimization.

  • Seolgiddeok a representative rice cake was prepared by the addition of silkworm powder(SP) at various concentrations, and their physical characteristics were monitored by sensory evaluation, chromaticity, and rheometric measurement. In the proximate composition of SP cake, the contents of crude protein and ash were increased as the ratio of SP increased, but the moisture content was decreased. In the sensory evaluation, 3%-SP cake showed the highest preference, old showed the highest values in color, flavor, taste. texture, and overall duality. Lightness(L) value of SP cake was decreased as the ratio of SP increased. In the rheometer test, 15%-SP cake showed the highest value in the hardness, but 3%-SP cake showed the highest value in cohesiveness, gumminess and brittleness.

  • This article deals with stochastic reliability systems that include a repair facility and unreliable machines: the main facility of working and an auxiliary facility of "super-reserve" machines. The number of super-reserve machines are random number with a arbitrarily distribution and working machines break down exponentially. Defective machines line up for repair, whose durations are arbitrarily distributed. Refurbished machines return to the main facility. If the main facility is restored to its original quantity, the repair facility leaves on routine maintenance until all of super-reserve machines are exhausted. Then, the busy period is regenerated. The whole system also falls into the category of closed queues, with more options than those of basic models. The techniques include two-variate Markov and semi-regenerative processes, and a duality principle, to find the probability distribution of the number of intact machines. Explicit formulas obtained demonstrate a relatively effortless use of functionals of the main stochastic characteristics (such as expenses due to repair, maintenance, waiting, and rewards for higher reliability) and optimization of their objective function. Applications include computer networking, human resources, and manufacturing processes.

  • This paper is dedicated to studying some Hausdorff operators on the Heisenberg group ${\mathbb{H}}^n$. The sharp bounds on the strong-type weighted Lorentz spaces ${\Lambda}^p_u(w)$ and the weak-type weighted Lorentz spaces ${\Lambda}^{p,{\infty}}_u(w)$ are investigated. Especially, the results cover the classical power weighted space $L^{p,q}_{\alpha}$. The results are also extended to the product spaces ${\Lambda}^{p_1}_{u_1}(w_1){\times}{\Lambda}^{p_2}_{u_2}(w_2)$, especially for $L^{p_1,q_1}_{{\alpha}_1}{\times}L^{p_2,q_2}_{{\alpha}_2}$. Our proofs are quite different from those in previous documents since the duality principle, and some well-known inequalities concerning the weights are adopted. The results recover the existing results as well as we obtain new results in the new and old settings.
