The purpose of ths study is to compare and analyze the sequence of teaching multiplication facts in the elementary school mathematics. Generally, the multiplication in the elementary school mathematics is composed of the followings; concepts of multiplication, situations involving multiplication, didactical models for multiplication, and multiplication strategies for teaching multiplication facts. This study is focusing to multiplication facts, especially to the sequence of teaching and multiplication strategies. The method of this study is a comparative and analytic method. In order to compare textbooks, we select the Korean elementary mathematics textbooks(1st curriculum~2009 revised curriculum) and the 9 foreign elementary mathematics textbooks(Japan, China, Germany, Finland, Hongkong etc.). As results of comparative investigation, the sequence of teaching multiplication facts is reconsidered on a basis of elementary students' mathematical thinking. And the connectivity of multiplication facts is strengthened in comparison with the foreign elementary mathematics textbooks. Finally multiplication strategies for teaching multiplication facts are discussed for more understanding and reasoning the principles of multiplication facts in the elementary school mathematics.

Teaching the notion of limit of the sequence in high school mathematics needs special attention and accurate teaching methods, for it is one of the most important bases of the advanced mathematics. Therefore it is necessary for high school students to have the right understanding of the notion of limit of the sequence. In this paper, we survey several teaching methods of the notion of limit of the sequence in high school mathematics and introduce a new method using Excell program. Also through questionnaire survey we discuss and analyse students' reaction when they learn the notion of limit of the sequence. And based on that, we suggest a method that would be believed to improve the students' understanding for the notion of limit It should be also notified that questionnaire survey was performed in order to find out which method would be appropriate to teach the notion of limit of the sequence, and that the survey result was fully reflected in the guideline that suggested.

The purpose of this study is to develop instruction sequence and teaching units for secondary school geometry using dynamic computer software like CabriII, GSP, Wingeom, Poly. For this purpose, literature was reviewed on various issues of geometry education and geometry curriculum using dynamic software. By the literature review, instructional sequence for teaching geometry in middle schools was designed. And, based on the newly developed instructional sequence, one sample teaching unit was developed. The basic principles for the development were to connect intuition geometry and formal geometry, and to emphasize students' investigative experience. Finally, experiment to check out teachers' response to the newly developed material was conducted by using questionnaire.

초등수학의 덧셈과 뺄셈 지도에서 학생들로 하여금 표준 알고리즘과 함께 대안적인 계산방법을 경험하도록 하는 것은 수학교육의 다양한 측면에서 옹호되고 있다. 우리나라의 초등 수학 교과서에서도 여러 가지 방법으로의 덧셈과 뺄셈을 차시 내용으로 담고 있고, 특히 2009 개정 교육과정에 따른 2학년 수학 교과서의 초판본과 수정본에서 주목되는 학습 계열상의 변화는 표준 알고리즘과 대안적 방법의 지도 순서 및 목표에 대한 논의의 필요성을 야기한다. 이에 본 연구에서는 덧셈과 뺄셈의 표준알고리즘 외의 대안적 방법을 다루는 목적을 검토하고 지도 방법과 순서에 대한 함의점을 도출하는 것을 목적으로 한다. 이를 위해 관련 문헌 및 교육과정과 교과서를 분석하고, 초등학교 2, 3학년의 관련 수업을 관찰하고 교사 면담을 실시하였다. 수업관찰 및 학생들이 고안한 대안적 계산방법으로부터 학생 활동의 특성, 교사의 교수학적 특성에 대한 분석 결과와 그에 대한 교수학적 논의를 포함한다.

The purpose of this study is to restructure the 10th grade mathematics curriculum for teaching the function area under the computer environment using ‘Mathview’, which is a computer algebra system designed for exploring algebra dynamically. The instructional sequence of the function area was redesigned to highlight the functions and properties of the computer software. And, based on the newly designed sequence, this study develops the sample ‘teaching unit’ using Mathview. The basic principle of the materials is to encourage students to investigate mathematics by manipulate various experimental tasks by themselves or through group study. And, the draft of the sequence and teaching unit was reviewed by some mathematics teachers and revised through the feedback.

본 연구에서 예비교사들은 자신들의 학교수학에 대한 경험과 지식을 토대로 분수의 곱셈과 나눗셈 지도 순서를 배치하는 활동을 하였다. 그 결과 교육과정의 제시된 순서와 일치한 경우는 없었지만 이러한 활동은 예비교사의 인식을 드러낼 수 있는 기회가 되었고 예비교사들은 자신의 인식과 교육과정의 차이 그리고 서로 간의 인식이 다름을 확인하면서 교사에게 필요한 지식을 배울 수 있었다. 즉, 예비교사들은 분수와 소수의 곱셈과 나눗셈 지도 순서에 내재된 수학적 관계를 알 수 있었고, 연산 지도에서 학생들의 사전 지식과 생각을 파악하는 것의 중요성과 어려움을 알 수 있었으며, 교수학습 방법으로서 생산적 실패의 효과를 체감할 수 있었다.

본 고에서는 평면이나 공간에서 정의된 도형수가 일반적으로 유한 차원에서 일반화될 때 저차원의 도형수인 그노몬수, 다각수 그리고 다각뿔수의 성질을 통합적으로 설명할 수 있음을 논하고, 도형수와 파스칼 삼각형, 피보나치 수열의 성질과 그들 사이의 관계를 알아봄으로써 이들에 대한 성질 탐구가 수학적 추론과 연결성을 지도하기 적합한 소재가 될 수 있음을 논한다.

The purpose of the study is to certify the validity and effectiveness of the learning hierarchy and to define the effective teaching order in life continuity. To achieve this purpose, two experimental groups which were instructed varying the sequence of the instructional units. Teaching order based on the learning hierarchy was given to experimental group and descriptive order of current text was given to control group. The findings of the study are as follows: 1. Learning Hierarchy before learning had differ with order of the textbook, but hierarchy of both group has showed similar to the sequence of textbook, after learning. 2. The effect of learning hierarchy represented no significant different between control and experimental group.

This study was designed to determine what components of spoken language have been relatively neglected in the teaching of listening comprehension in Korea and to suggest a model of listening process. Two types of tests were undertaken using spoken and written forms of English with secondary school teachers of English and college students. Findings: Hearing power has been generally neglected in the teaching of listening comprehension. Hearing power which can be thought as an active process is defined as an ability to transfer the sequence of discrete phonetic segments without word boundary into the sequence of words in phonemic representations by using both nonlinguistic factors and linguistic factors including perception rules based on phonetics and phonology. Vocabularies, hearing-speaking power, syntactic structures and idiomatic expressions are to be taught for spoken English. A model of listening process was suggested and discussed.

본 연구에서는 고등학교 수학I의 수열 단원을 바탕으로 학습자의 흥미유발 및 사고력 계발 육성을 위해, 실생활 소재 및 게임, 영화 속에서 수학적 내용을 추출하여 예화문제를 개발하고, 교수 학습이 학생들에게 미치는 효과를 조사하였다.
