This study has its purpose on improving mathematic education by analyzing the effects of the teaching and learning process which adopted 'FOCUS Problem Solving Steps' on student's mathematical problem solving ability and their mathematical attitude. The result is as follows. First, activities through FOCUS Problem Solving Steps showed positive effect on students' problem solving ability. Second, among mathematical attitudes, mathematical curiosity, reflection and value are proved to have statistically meaningful effect and from the result that analyzed changes of subject students, we could suppose that all 6 elements of mathematical attitude had positive effect. Third, by solving questions through FOCUS steps, students felt satisfaction when they success by themselves. If projects which adopted FOCUS Problem Solving Steps take effect continuously by happiness from the process of reviewing and reflecting their own fallacy and solving that, we might expect meaningful effect on students' problem solving ability. Through this study, FOCUS Problem Solving Steps had positive effect not only on students' mathematical problem solving ability but also on formation of mathematical attitude. As a result, it implies that FOCUS Problem Solving Steps need to be applied to other grades and fields and then studied more.

Objective : The purpose of this study is to examine the effect of cultural empathy, and personalities on cultural competence among university students of occupational therapy. Methods : One-hundred and fifty-five university students of occupational therapy in Jeollanamdo and Gwangju completed questionnaires consisting of a demographic questionnaire, the Scale of Ethnocultural Empathy(SEE), Big Fie Inventory(BFI), and (CCAI). To determine the relationships among demographic variables, cultural empathy, personalities, and cultural competence, descriptive statistics, Pearson correlation analysis, and regression analysis were analyzed by using SPSS 24.0 for Windows. Results : The results of the study showed the differences in neuroticism and conscientiousness by gender. Also, there were positive correlations between cultural empathy, personality, and cultural competence. Lastly, cultural empathy(β=.357), openness(β=.252), and school year(β=-.148)were significant predictors of cultural competence. Conclusion : The results of this study clarified the relationships among cultural empathy, personality, and cultural competence, and will provide data for the education program to enhance the cultural competence of undergraduates of occupational therapy.

This study was conducted to investigate the effect of agarwood (Thymelaeaceae) inhalation using an electric incense burner on stress and brain waves. Sixteen participants were included in the study during the period from September 2019 to April 2020. Participant recruitment was undertaken by the 'H' center. This paper focused on stress reduction and compared the differences in stress and brain waves before and after agarwood inhalation using an electric incense burner. Electroencephalography was measured by a 19 Channel, Brainmaster Discovery, and analyzed using a NeuroGuide, LORETA (Brain Mapping). The analysis of technical statistics was carried out using SPSS/WIN 21.0 and the Wilcoxon signed-rank test. The study observed that the stress response index was reduced by a significance level of 0.01 in patients with anxiety, depression, and somatization disorders after agarwood inhalation. Secondly, alpha waves were increased by a significance level of 0.05, in 18 out of 19 regions measured, except FP 1. The difference after agarwood inhalation was the most significant in the region that affects emotion. Thirdly, a LORETA analysis found that alpha waves were increased in the brain region (BA 40) predominantly responsible for memory and emotion. This result clarifies that agarwood inhalation using an electric incense burner reduced stress and had a positive effect on brain waves and hence, has potential as an alternative therapy.

This study examined the degree and relations of stroke literacy, health literacy, stroke knowledge, and self-management to identify the significant determining factors affecting stroke prevention among middle-aged and older adults with a high incidence of stroke. Data on the sociodemographic characteristics, stroke literacy, health literacy, stroke knowledge, and self-management of 198 participants were collected from December 5, 2019, to March 31, 2020, using a structured questionnaire. The data were analyzed using the SPSS/WIN 23.0 program. The determining factors affecting self-management in middle-aged and older adults were age (β=.190. p=.015), followed in order by smoking (β=-.226, p=.001), self-rated health status (β=.297, p<.001), and stroke knowledge (β=-.168, p=.014); the explanation power was approximately 20.3%. The results suggest that the self-rated health status and stroke knowledge should be considered when developing nursing interventions to improve self-management among middle-aged and older adults. Furthermore, it will be necessary to find the intervening variable between stroke knowledge and self-management for community-dwelling middle-aged and older adults in the community. Overall, these findings underscore the importance of systematic and ongoing education on stroke prevention.

This study reviewed the current status of low-experienced teacher librarians with less than 5 years and attempted to identify their educational needs through IPA analysis, Borich Priority Formula, and The Locus for Focus Model. A survey was conducted on low-experienced teacher librarians with less than 5 years of experience to analyze their process in the pre-service teacher training and experiences before an appointment and to identify teacher librarians instructional expertise. The results of the analysis of the study are as follows. First, there was a statistically significant difference between the importance and performance in all areas of instructional expertise of low-experienced teacher librarians. Second, 'reading education-practice progress' was recognized as a 'Keep up good work' with high importance and satisfaction, and 'library-based instruction planning, progress evaluation', 'information literacy-curriculum design', and 'digital and media literacy education-progress and evaluation' were recognized as areas of 'Concentrate here' through IPA analysis. Third, In the Borich Priority Formula, 'teaching-learning evaluation', 'teaching-learning progress', and 'teaching-learning plan' in the Library based instruction area showed the highest educational needs. Fourth, the library-based instruction was shown to the high discrepancy/high importancy area as same as the Borich Proity Formula. The results of this study can provide implications for improving the instructional expertise of teacher librarians.

Purpose The purpose of this study was to examine the relationship between physical activities, sleep disturbance, and health related quality of life (HRQOL) in patients with chronic obstructive pulmonary disease (COPD). Methods A descriptive survey design used pretest dataset of COPD symptom management intervention study (N=245). Measures included the international physical activity questionnaire, the COPD and asthma sleep impact scale, and the St. George's respiratory questionnaire of HRQOL. The data were analyzed using descriptive analysis, t-test, ANOVA, Pearson correlation coefficients, and simultaneous multiple regression by the SPSS WIN 18.0 program. Results The mean scores (SD) of HRQOL and sleep disturbance were 36.04 (19.43) and 14.33 (6.20), respectively. About 32% of participants were physically inactive. The multivariate approach showed the patients who have more sleep disturbance (β=.27), lower levels of FEV1 % predicted (β=-.23), lower physical activities (β=-.19), lower household income (β=-.16), and diagnosed longer than 5 years (β=.14) reported lower HRQOL (R²=.34). Conclusion The findings of this study suggest that improving the quality of sleep and physical activities can be efficient strategies for HRQOL in patients with COPD. Future research in enhancing HRQOL through improving sleep quality and physical activities is needed.

Purpose : This investigation was to identify the relationship of social support, stress, health and quality of life in caregivers of home-stay cancer patient. Method : We used a questionnaire and obtained data from the records of 79 caregivers of home-stay cancer patient in a community. Window SPSS-PC was used for the data analysis and the statistical method used were the t-test, ANOVA and Pearson's correlation coefficient. Result : The mean score of family support(3.24) was higher than nurse's support(3.03). The mean score of stress was 3.52 and that of health status was 2.98. The mean score of quality of life was 2.34. The health status of caregivers of cancer patient was influence by age(F=3.17, p=0.018) and education(F=3.59, p=0.032). There was a correlation between nurse's support and family support(r=.263, p<0.05). There was a correlation between stress and health status(r=0.597, p<0.01). The quality of life was correlated with stress(r=-.678, p<0.01) and health status(r=-0.741, p<0.01). Conclusion : The above result indicate that we must consider of social support, stress and health status to promote of quality of life of the caregiver of cancer patient.

Purpose: The present study is aimed to evaluate the combined effect of recombinant human bone morphogenetic protein 2 (rhBMP-2) and recombinant human vascular endothelial growth factor (rhVEGF) coated onto anodized implants on osseointeration. Materials and methods: Six New Zealand white rabbit were used in this study. Each animal received 4 implants that were either coated with rhBMP-2 and rhVEGF (Study group) or anodized implant (Control group) in both tibia. This was performed using a randomized split-mouth design. A total 24 implants were used. The implant stability quotient (ISQ) value using resonance frequency analyser and removal torque (RTQ) measurement were investigated at 2 and 8 weeks. The t-test was used for statistical analysis (${\alpha}$=.05). Results: Control and study group showed good osseointegration at 8 weeks. The ISQ and RTQ values of study group were significant compared with the control group at 8 weeks (P<.05). However, No statistical significance was observed at 2 weeks (P>.05). Conclusion: It was concluded that rhBMP-2 with rhVEGF coated onto anodized implants can induce better osseointegration at late healing period.

The purposes of this study were to evaluate the reproducibility of posteroanterior(PA) cephalograms obtained by two methods, the Head Posture Aligner(HPA) method in natural head posture and the conventional method(operator-guided method), and to compare the vertical rotational differences of the head Posture between lateral and PA cephalograms according to the method. The sample was consisted of 30 adults. At first day, a PA cephalogram and a lateral cephalogram were obtained from each subject by two methods to investigate the difference of vertical rotational posture between lateral and PA cephalograms. Two weeks later, another PA cephalogram was obtained using each method to evaluate the reproducibility of head posture. Five height measurements and nine width measurements were used in the paired t-test to compare the reproducibility of the PA cephalometric measurements between two methods. The differences of vertical rotational posture between lateral and PA cephalograms were calculated from a computer program and compared according to the method used, and following results were obtained. 1. Height measurements obtained by operator-guided method showed significant differences according to the time interval and revealed low reproducibility. 2. Height measurements obtained by HPA method did not show significant differences according to the time interval and presented high reproducibility. 3. In the comparison of width measurement, two methods did not show distinct differences in reproducibility. 4. The difference of vertical rotational posture between lateral and PA cephalograms showed $0.8^{\circ}$ in the HPA method, more less than $2.5^{\circ}$ in the operator-guided method. The results of the present study suggest that the HPA may be helpful in the PA cephalometric radiography in terms of reproducibility.

In order to investigate the adsorption characteristics of the antibiotics trimethoprim (TMP) by activated carbon (WCAC) prepared from waste citrus peel, the effects of operating parameters on the TMP adsorption were investigated by using a response surface methodology (RSM). Batch experiments were carried out according to a four-factor Box-Behnken experimental design with four input parameters : concentration ($X_1$: 50-150 mg/L), pH ($X_2$: 4-10), temperature ($X_3$: 293-323 K), adsorbent dose ($X_4$: 0.05-0.15 g). The experimental data were fitted to a second-order polynomial equation by the multiple regression analysis and examined using statistical methods. The significance of the independent variables and their interactions was assessed by ANOVA and t-test statistical techniques. Statistical results showed that concentration of TMP was the most effective parameter in comparison with others. The adsorption process can be well described by the pseudo-second order kinetic model. The experimental data of isotherm followed the Langmuir isotherm model. The maximum adsorption amount of TMP by WCAC calculated from the Langmuir isotherm model was 144.9 mg/g at 293 K.
