The increasing use of nano-positioners in a wide variety of laboratory and industrial applications has created a need for nano-mechatronics education in all engineering disciplines. The subject of nano-mechatronics is broad and interdisciplinary. This article focuses on the way nano-mechatronics is taught in department of mechanical engineering at Korea Advanced Institute of Science and Technology (KAIST). As one model of nano-positioning systems, design and experimental methodology is presented in this article. For design phase, the stiffness and resonant frequencies are found analytically and verified by using a commercial finite element analysis program. Next, for experimental phase, various tests are performed to access the performances of the designed nano-positioner, for example, sine-tracking, multi-step response and travel-range check etc. Finally, the definition of 'separation frequency' is described and some comments are discussed.

Engineering Ethics is a fundamental and essential subject and the understanding of ethics is of great importance for students in engineering courses and professional engineers. Most courses would consist of ethical tests, decision making opportunities, case studies, case methods, and group discussion. It is important to consider each case carefully, so we offer a number of hypothetical short stories to students as case methods that they cover in detail. We check the behavior decisions of students as they read the hypothetical short stories. In this study, the short story was about 200 words in length. This paper shows how, with the addition of minor changes to the text, some students changed their behavioral decisions. For example, with the addition of "if you take financial liability for the losses," some thought that they would not want to carry the debt. Other cases showed how some students disliked the majority rule. The paper shows that this arranged hypothetical short story method can often guide student's decision-making process, and can result in decreased undesirable decisions.

This paper presented a literature review and investigation analysis results of total 19 present guide book and provisions of maintenance and management system in existing railway bridges to development of urban maglev track structures inspection manual. This research carried out a cooperated research subject 3-1, development a design code and maintenance and management inspection manual for urban maglev track structures, of the Center for Urban Maglev Program. Three types of track structures were includes as a major analytical parameter together with railroad, high speed railroad, subway and light rail transit. Bridges were analyzed a general rules, investigation, evaluation, repair and strengthen method as a key aspect. And rail were analyzed examination and maintenance also. This analysis results show that the track structures evaluation are based on the test and examination results, and repaired or strengthened consideration of deterioration, track irregularity and materials according to provision requirements.

Mathematics is a science of pattern. Mathematics is a subject of inquiring which aims at discovering the models hidden behind the world. Pattern is abstraction and generalization of the model. Mathematical pattern is a higher level of mathematical model. Mathematics patterns are often hidden in pattern similarity. Creation of mathematics lies largely in discovering the pattern similarity among the various components of mathematics. Inquiring is the core and soul of mathematics teaching. It is very important for students to study mathematics like mathematicians' exploring and discovering mathematics based on pattern similarity. The author describes an example about how to guide students to carry out mathematics inquiring based on pattern similarity in classroom.

The study aims to develop teaching and learning media to raise up learners' interests and understanding during clothing class by providing a clothing swatch materials and its guide for applying to the unit of clothing in technology and home economics subject in middle school. To do so, clothing swatch materials, study sheet and guide were developed, applied and then analyzed for their effects. In this study, in order to figure out effects of class using clothing swatch materials on learning interest, learning necessity, learning understanding and academic achievements, the experiment was conducted for comparing and analyzing the learning interest, learning acceptance attitude and academic achievement between experiment group with using clothing swatch materials and control group without using the materials. The results of the study are as follows: First, the experiment group using clothing swatch materials shows higher learning interest than the control group without materials. Second, the experiment group showed higher learning acceptance attitude than the control group. Third, the experiment group achieved higher academic accomplishments than the control group.

Customer expectations and requirements for products play an important role in product planning for companies and decision making process for the consumer. These expectations are expressed by product qualities that consumers consider important when they purchase. Therefore, to identify quality elements that reflect consumer requirements would be a useful guide for companies. The purposes of this study are to find out quality factors of apparel product, to identify apparel product quality elements using Kano's theory, to find attributes of product which improvement are required. Women over 20 years-old from metropolitan areas in South Korea participated in the study and a quota sampling method was used. A questionnaire was arranged with four separate subject sections, importance of quality, Kano's questionnaires, and demographics. Data from 525 questionnaires were used for the statistical analysis. The results were as follows: Six dimensions of product quality(i.e., usefulness, performance, aesthetic, symbol, individuality and appearance) were identified. According to Kano's quality elements, performance was categorized into must-be quality which could lead to product dissatisfaction. Usefulness and appearance were categorized into one-dimensional quality which lead to both satisfaction and dissatisfaction. Aesthetic, symbol, and individuality was categorized into attractive quality which could lead to satisfaction. Findings of this study provide both industry and academic researchers with a guide to increase customer satisfaction in the product development process.

In this study we analysed time allotment and the contents of a health textbook and its teacher's guide book of the 7th elementary curriculum. We intended to offer the basic data needed to establish the single health education. So the analysed results are as follows according to the health education model developed by the korean nursing association and health teachers' meeting and the teaching time allotment presented by the teacher's guide book. It's goal is practice in regular class time of the subjects for the time and contents of health education in the 7th elementary curriculum. The total class periods of health education of the 7th elementary curriculum are 229 hours and annual periods of health education per year are an average of 38 hours. The health education of the 7th elementary curriculum is separated into the 9 following subjects: Wise life, Pleasant life, Righteous life, We are 1st grade, Physical education, Science, Social studies, moral education and Practical course. The health education of the 6th elementary curriculum was combined with the units of physical education, but in the 7th curriculum it must be separated by a single, required health subject. The contents of health education of the 7th elementary curriculum is mostly dominated by units of community and environmental health with a total of 55 hours (24%). Therefore, the units of home health and social health, development of physical strength are fairly insignificant. The newly added contents in the 7th curriculum are "pregnancy and child birth, the protection and counterplan from rape, the reasons and prevention of stress, the reasons and the treatment of obesity, the damage of smoking and drinking, etc. According to the result above, we must establish the criteria for each year's health education in the 8th elementary curriculum. The contents of mental health, home health and social health should be revised and added new items. The health education that is separated in some subjects now must be established as a systematically integrated health education.

Importance of road that is country base equipment is occupying fair part. Therefore, establishment of road and maintenance expense for road management are increasing continuously. These problem can manage efficiently through data model construction that take advantage of framework data. But, because of difference of method of study in research institution, framework data research was constructed being overlapped until current. This is because framework data research was no access of application side. Therefore, National Geographic Information Institute presented subject framework data model guide through framework data model standardization business. This research constructed road management data model that take advantage of traffic framework data. Therefore, we can check equal data construction and reduce expense accordingly. Also, because there are not data model development instances by framework data model, it is difficult that judge whether is suitable to apply framework data model guide. Hence, in this study, the extended road management data medel and the suitability of framework data is presented.

This study was performed to measure the mandibular movement and the changes of masicatory and sternocleidomastoid muscle activity reflected by occlusal disturbance during habitual chewing. For this study, 18 subjects(14 males and 4 females with an average age of 24.0) were selected. The impression of each subject were taken for measuring intermolar distance on lower dentition. The activities of masticatory and sternocleidomastoid muscle and the mandibular movement were recorded and analyzed during habitual chewing by means of E.M.G.(electromyograph), E.G.N.(electrognathograph), rotate program in BioPak analyzing system(BioResearch Inc.). The objectives of this study are to study and propose the learning elements and it's teaching methods for Information Ethics by expert survey. In recent days, Internet is the new field of our living, but teaching the students in elementary and secondary schools the subject of Information Ethics which purpose is to have positive attitude of utilizing Internet is not properly executed. The first step to teach Information Ethics in schools is to choose the learning elements in Information Ethics. Therefore, this paper is to choose the learning elements and re-arrange them with point of view to elementary and secondary schools. And more, in order to teach the students the learning elements of Information Ethics effectively, we propose the proper teaching methods to the learning elements by teacher's survey. The learning elements and teaching methods in Information Ethics is not the perfect guide to teach students in school, but the output of this study will be the good guide to revise the Information Ethics-related curriculums and product the textbooks about Information Ethics.
