  • In this paper, we study the convergence analysis of the sequences generated by the proximal point method for an infinite family of pseudo-monotone equilibrium problems in Banach spaces. We first prove the weak convergence of the generated sequence to a common solution of the infinite family of equilibrium problems with summable errors. Then, we show the strong convergence of the generated sequence to a common equilibrium point by some various additional assumptions. We also consider two variants for which we establish the strong convergence without any additional assumption. For both of them, each iteration consists of a proximal step followed by a computationally inexpensive step which ensures the strong convergence of the generated sequence. Also, for this two variants we are able to characterize the strong limit of the sequence: for the first variant it is the solution lying closest to an arbitrarily selected point, and for the second one it is the solution of the problem which lies closest to the initial iterate. Finally, we give a concrete example where the main results can be applied.

  • In this paper, we prove the weak and strong convergence of the three-step iterative scheme with errors to a common fixed point for two asymptotically nonexpansive mappings in a uniformly convex Banach space under a condition weaker than compactness. Our theorems improve and generalize some previous results.

  • In this paper, we introduce a new iterative scheme to investigate the problem of nding a common element of nonexpansive mappings and the set of solutions of generalized variational inequalities for a $k$-strict pseudo-contraction by relaxed extra-gradient methods. Strong convergence theorems are established in $q$-uniformly smooth Banach spaces.

  • In this paper, we introduce an iterative scheme given by infinite nonexpansive mappings in Banach spaces. We prove strong convergence theorems which are connected with the problem of image recovery. Our results enrich and complement the recent many results.

  • In this paper, we present a strongly convergent parallel projection algorithm by introducing some parameter sequences for convex feasibility problem. To prove the strong convergence in a simple way, we transmit the parallel algorithm in the original space to an alternating one in a newly constructed product space. Thus, the strong convergence of the parallel projection algorithm is derived with the help of the alternating one under some parametric controlling conditions.

  • Motivated and inspired by ideas due to Matsushida and Takahashi [J. Approx. Theory 134(2005), 257-266] and Martinez-Yanes and Xu [Nonlinear Anal. 64(2006), 2400-2411], we prove some strong convergence theorems of modified iteration processes for a pair (or finite family) of relatively nonexpansive mappings in Banach spaces, which improve and extend the corresponding results of Matsushida and Takahashi and Martinez-Yanes and Xu in Banach and Hilbert spaces, repectively.
