A single action press robot, which consists of a driving unit, rotator, up-down feed base and feed bar, is developed and applied for the press automation. The driving unit is made up with a face cam and blade cam, which have a phase angle. The feeding system consists of a double speed-up apparatus and linear motion guides, and has a fast motion characteristics. A horizontal feeding speed of the feed bar is increased twice by the double speed-up apparatus. The driving mechanism could be simplified due to the speed-up of the feeding unit.
PURPOSE. To compare marginal and internal gaps of zirconia substructure of single crowns with those of three-unit fixed dental prostheses. MATERIALS AND METHODS. Standardized Co-Cr alloy simulated second premolar and second molar abutments were fabricated and subsequently duplicated into type-III dental stone for working casts. After that, all zirconia substructures were made using $Lava^{TM}$ system. Marginal and internal gaps were measured in 2 planes (mesial-distal plane and buccal-palatal plane) at 5 locations: marginal opening (MO), chamfer area (CA), axial wall (AW), cusp tip (CT) and mid-occlusal (OA) using Replica technique. RESULTS. There were significant differences between gaps at all locations. The $mean{\pm}SD$ of marginal gap in premolar was $43.6{\pm}0.4{\mu}m$ and $46.5{\pm}0.5{\mu}m$ for single crown and 3-unit bridge substructure respectively. For molar substructure the $mean{\pm}SD$ of marginal gap was $48.5{\pm}0.4{\mu}m$ and $52.6{\pm}0.4{\mu}m$ for single crown and 3-unit bridge respectively. The largest gaps were found at the occlusal area, which was $150.5{\pm}0.5{\mu}m$ and $154.5{\pm}0.4{\mu}m$ for single and 3-unit bridge premolar substructures respectively and $146.5{\pm}0.4{\mu}m$ and $211.5{\pm}0.4{\mu}m$ for single and 3-unit bridge molar substructure respectively. CONCLUSION. Independent-samples t-test showed significant differences of gap in zirconia substructure between single crowns and three-unit bridge (P<.001). Therefore, the span length has the effect on the fit of zirconia substructure that is fabricated using CAD/CAM technique especially at the occlusal area.

In this paper, the comparative steady-state operating performance analysis algorithms of the stand-alone single-phase self-excited induction generator (SEIG) is presented on the basis of the two nodal admittance approaches using the per-unit frequency in addition to a new state variable de-fined by the per-unit slip frequency. The main significant features of the proposed operating circuit analysis with the per-unit slip frequency as a state variable are that the fast effective solution could be achieved with the simple mathematical computation effort. The operating performance results in the simulation of the single-phase SEIG evaluated by using the per-unit slip frequency state variable are compared with those obtained by using the per-unit frequency state variable. The comparative operating performance results provide the close agreements between two steady-state analysis performance algorithms based on the electro-mechanical equivalent circuit of the single-phase SEIG. In addition to these, the single-phase static VAR compensator; SVC composed of the thyristor controlled reactor; TCR in parallel with the fixed excitation capacitor; FC and the thyristor switched capacitor; TSC is ap-plied to regulate the generated terminal voltage of the single-phase SEIG loaded by a variable inductive passive load. The fixed gain PI controller is employed to adjust the equivalent variable excitation capacitor capacitance of the single-phase SVC.

Vibrational film has been more employed in ear-phones or small type of speakers along with a wide use of portable multi-media equipments such as MP3 and MP4. However, the current hand work production process of diaphragms is inefficient. In this study, a die-and-mold and a single production forming machine are developed, and they result in a multi-production forming machine. The multi-production forming machine consists primarily of a film feeding unit and an unwinding unit. A vacuum suction device provides the film feeding unit, while the unwinding unit is obtained using an appropriate damper. The advantage of the developed single production forming machine is shown according to a proper voice test.

PURPOSE. The purpose of this study is to compare single and three-unit metal frameworks that are produced by micro-stereolithography. MATERIALS AND METHODS. Silicone impressions of a selected molar and a premolar were used to make master abutments that were scanned into a stereolithography file. The file was processed with computer aided design software to create single and three-unit designs from which resin frameworks were created using micro-stereolithography. These resin frameworks were subjected to investment, burnout, and casting to fabricate single and three-unit metal ones that were measured under a digital microscope by using the silicone replica technique. The measurements were verified by means of the Mann-Whitney U test (${\alpha}=.05$). RESULTS. The marginal gap was $101.9{\pm}53.4{\mu}m$ for SM group and $104.3{\pm}62.9{\mu}m$ for TUM group. The measurement of non-pontics in a single metal framework was $93.6{\pm}43.9{\mu}m$, and that of non-pontics in a three-unit metal framework was $64.9{\pm}46.5{\mu}m$. The dimension of pontics in a single metal framework was $110.2{\pm}61.4{\mu}m$, and that of pontics in a three-unit metal framework was $143.7{\pm}51.8{\mu}m$. CONCLUSION. The marginal gap was smaller for the single metal framework than for the three-unit one, which requires further improvement before it can be used for clinical purposes.
This study investigated the evacuation characteristics of student of elementary school with single unit fireproof shutter. In particular, we gathered the data about fireproof shutter and checked the data. And we made comparison and did an analysis of the evacuation characteristics of elementary school student according to working of single unit fireproof shutter for fires. As a result, it took the last occupant 130 seconds to escape from the school with no fire shutter case. But it took time 190 seconds to escape when the single unit fireproof shutter worked. Some of elementary school students could not open the door installed on the shutter when the single unit fireproof shutter worked. Considering this circumstance, it can be led to time delays of escaping when the single unit fireproof shutter work. And many students can be exposed to the fire hazards. Therefore, the study on the power to open the door installed on the shutter must be done in the future.
In this paper, the vibration load and analysis results for automotive battery supporter were performed to provide efficient vibration tolerance performance prediction methods for single-product vibration tolerance testing, and the major influencing factors and considerations for setting up single-unit vibration tolerance tests were reviewed. A common applicable standard load was applied to efficiently predict the performance of single-unit vibrations through the frequency response analysis technique. The results similar to test results can be predicted by checking vulnerable parts of the vehicle components for vibration loads and applying scale factor to standard loads. In addition, it was confirmed that the test conditions with a frequency generating the same durability severity as the endurance test are needed for accurate prediction of the durability of the single-unit vibration tolerance test conditions, and the acceleration and frequency with the conditions that there is no significant nonlinear phenomena in the vibration system are established during the single-unit vibration tolerance test conditions.
The purpose of this study was to evaluate the marginal fitnesses on the effect of span length of bridge and the marginal gaps within the clinically allowed range. The samples were fabricated with zirconia core using CAD/CAM system. The test groups were divided by four groups, single crown, 2-units bridge, 3-units bridge and 4-units bridge and 10 zirconia cores per each group. The results of mean marginal gaps were $42.95{\pm}6.93{\mu}m$ in the single crown, $43.53{\pm}5.27{\mu}m$ in 2-unit, $53.43{\pm}13.38{\mu}m$ in 3-unit, and $50.85{\pm}8.25{\mu}m$ in 4-unit on each. The marginal gap of mesial and distal surfaces were statistically significant differences between single, 2-unit group and 3-unit, 4-unit group (p<.05) and this results was effected by the span length. The buccal and lingual surfaces were no statistically significant differences within all groups(p>.05). From this results the span length of the zirconia core may have influence on marginal fitness and the marginal gaps were within the clinically allowed range.

Purpose: The purpose of this study was to assess the marginal and mesial fitness of zirconia single copings and 3-unit fixed partial dentures (FPDs) manufactured with an identical model. Materials and Methods: An epoxy model in which the maxillary right 2nd premolar is lost and maxillary 1st premolar and 2nd molar are formed as abutments was manufactured and scanned by using a laser scanner. A ten units of zirconia single copings were manufactured for maxillary 1st premolar and 2nd molar, respectively and the same number of 3-unit FPDs were manufactured. For the measurements of fitness, the manufactured silicone replicas were divided into four parts and the fitness were measured by digital microscope at measurement points (P1, P2, P3, P4 and P5) of each plane. The measured gaps were classified into three categories: marginal gap (MG, P1), axial gap (AG, average of P2 and P3), occlusal gap (OG, average of P4 and P5). Results: The ranges of MG, AG and OG for single copings were 18.47 - 40.54 ${\mu}m$, 39.73 - 73.61 ${\mu}m$ and 116.90 - 134.69 ${\mu}m$, respectively. The ranges of MG, AG and OG for 3-unit FPDs were 45.95 - 87.44 ${\mu}m$, 23.78 - 57.00 ${\mu}m$ and 99.89 - 131.06 ${\mu}m$, respectively. Conclusion: The result of the study shows that the MGs for 3-unit FPDs were higher than those of single copings, though they are within the range of clinical acceptance, indicating that the use of more homogeneous zirconia block and modification of sintering processes are needed to ensure the prevention of increase of gap in 3-unit FPDs.

Following a surge of interest in multi-unit risk in the last few years, many recent studies have suggested methods for multi-unit probabilistic safety assessment (MUPSA) and addressed several related aspects. Most of the existing studies though focused on two-unit nuclear power plant (NPP) sites or used rather simplified probabilistic safety assessment (PSA) models to demonstrate the proposed approaches. When considering an NPP site with three or more units, some approaches are inapplicable or yield very conservative results. Since the number of such sites is increasing, there is a strong need to develop and validate practical approaches to the related MUPSA. This article provides several detailed approaches that are applicable to multi-unit Level 1 PSA for sites with up to six or more reactor units. To validate the approaches, a multi-unit Level 1 PSA model is developed and the site core damage frequency is estimated for each of four representative multi-unit initiators, as well as for the case of a simultaneous occurrence of independent single-unit initiators in multiple units. For this purpose, an NPP site with six identical OPR-1000 units is considered, with full-scale Level 1 PSA models for a specific OPR-1000 plant used as the base single-unit models.
