Near-field scanning microwave microscope (NSMM) has been used to characterize the electromagnetic properties of samples based on a cavity perturbation technique. We used a NSMM using a waveguide cavity to couple a metallic probe tip as a point like evanescent field emitter. We explained the quality of our NSMM system by applying the cavity perturbation theory. First, to make a shape perturbation, we inserted linear and loop probes in the waveguide resonator. To check up electric and magnetic field distribution inside the waveguide resonator by shape perturbation, we confirmed the field distribution by using a HFSS simulation. Second, to make material perturbation, we located a dielectric sample in front of the probe tip and measured reflection coefficient $(S_{11})$. We found that the resonance frequency$(f_r)$ was changed linearly as the dielectric constant of resonator$({\varepsilon}_r)$ increased when ${\Delta}{\varepsilon}\;and\;{\Delta}{\mu}$ were small.

This study was conducted to investigate the effects of child nursing simulation using standardized patient on nursing student's anxiety, self-efficacy, and critical thinking disposition. A one group pre test-post test design was used. The subjects of the study were 62 students in the nursing department and 4th year students at the university in C city. The hospitalized child nursing simulation was conducted for approximately 3.5 hours, including 60 minutes of pre-study and orientation, 60-80 minutes of hands-on scenarios, and 30 minutes of reflection diary writing and debriefing. The data collection was conducted from March to December 2016. Statistical analyses of the collected data were conducted, including t-tests, Pearson's correlation coefficient, and Cronbach's ${\alpha}$. Analyses were conducted using SPSS 21.0. The results of the study showed that anxiety (p <.001) was significantly lower and self-efficacy (p<.001) and critical thinking disposition (p<.001) were higher. Therefore, we propose that various scenarios for simulation practice that utilize standardized patients to enhance core nursing abilities be developed.
This study is an investigative study into the effects that the 'travel motivations' of participants on walking tourism has on their 'degree of satisfaction' by identifying tourist motivations for selecting walking tour among many types of tourism and their effects on hikers' degree of satisfaction. This study was conducted with hikers affiliated with 'walking on beautiful roads '-one of Busan's preliminary social enterprises- with a total of 176 copies used for a final effective sample. Data collected was analyzed using SPSS WIN 18.0 to conduct a frequency analysis of the sample. Along with exploratory factor analysis, Cronbach's ${\alpha}$ coefficient was used as an estimate of the validity and reliability of each factor. Multiple regression analysis was done for an analysis of travel motivations and their effects on satisfaction. The scale rates items in the questionnaire in the following categories: 'Motivations' for walking tours consist of 5 factors- vacation, soul-searching, social get-togethers, nature tour, community experience-with a total of 20 items. 'The degree of satisfaction' is made up of a factor with a total of 4 items. The results of the study are as follows: with respect to the hypothesis that motivations for walking tour would have a positive effect on the degree of satisfaction, test results show that 'motivations' have significant partial effects on the 'degree of satisfaction'. Motivations affect the degree of satisfaction in the order of nature tour and soul-searching except for experience and social get-togethers- an indication that participants on walking tours tend to travel for the attractiveness of nature, wanting time for reflection and meditation. As the first investigative study into participants in walking tours products offered by travel agencies, the study has the following implications for marketers: First, travel agencies selling walking tour products and government institutions concerned about the development of hiking trails need to discuss ways to make the most of natural resources as they are- rather than using development-oriented approaches. The study has its own limitation: it is that with the lack of domestic and international studies on walking tours, the study has not gained access to precedent studies on the subject so it has not established a systemic approach to the emerging type of tourism. Hopefully, this study will make a small contribution to its development.

Nickel Oxide (NiO) is a transition metal oxide of the rock salt structure that has a wide band gap of 3.5 eV. It has a variety of specialized applications due to its excellent chemical stability, optical, electrical and magnetic properties. In this study, we concentrated on the application of NiO thin film for transparent conducting oxide. The energy band structure, electronic and optical properties of Nickel Oxide (NiO) thin films grown on Si by using electron beam evaporation were investigated by X-Ray Photoelectron Spectroscopy (XPS), Reflection Electron Energy Loss Spectroscopy (REELS), and UV-Spectrometer. The band gap of NiO thin films determined by REELS spectra was 3.53 eV for the primary energies of 1.5 keV. The valence-band offset (VBO) of NiO thin films investigated by XPS was 3.88 eV and the conduction-band offset (CBO) was 1.59 eV. The UV-spectra analysis showed that the optical transmittance of the NiO thin film was 84% in the visible light region within an error of ${\pm}1%$ and the optical band gap for indirect band gap was 3.53 eV which is well agreement with estimated by REELS. The dielectric function was determined using the REELS spectra in conjunction with the Quantitative Analysis of Electron Energy Loss Spectra (QUEELS)-${\varepsilon}({\kappa},{\omega})$-REELS software. The Energy Loss Function (ELF) appeared at 4.8, 8.2, 22.5, 38.6, and 67.0 eV. The results are in good agreement with the previous study [1]. The transmission coefficient of NiO thin films calculated by QUEELS-REELS was 85% in the visible region, we confirmed that the optical transmittance values obtained with UV-Spectrometer is the same as that of estimated from QUEELS-${\varepsilon}({\kappa},{\omega})$-REELS within uncertainty. The inelastic mean free path (IMFP) estimated from QUEELS-${\varepsilon}({\kappa},{\omega})$-REELS is consistent with the IMFP values determined by the Tanuma-Powell Penn (TPP2M) formula [2]. Our results showed that the IMFP of NiO thin films was increased with increasing primary energies. The quantitative analysis of REELS provides us with a straightforward way to determine the electronic and optical properties of transparent thin film materials.
The purpose of this study was to measure fundamental data required for the prediction of milling ratios, and to develop regression models to predict the head rice ratio of milled rice using NIR spectra of hulled rice. A total of 81 rice samples used in this study were collected from Jeongeup, Jeonbuk province in 2006. NIR spectra were measured using one mode of measurement, reflection. The reflectance spectra were measured in the wavelength region of 400-2500 nm with an NIR spectrophotometer "NIRSystems 6500" (Foss, Silverspring, USA). Calibration equations were developed by the modified partial least squares (MPLS), partial least squares (PLS), and principal components regression (PCR). Math treatments were 1-4-4-1, 1-10-10-1, 2-4-4-1, and 2-10-10-1. The software used was WinISI (Infrasoft International, State College, USA). Automatic head rice production and quality checking system used was "SY2000-AHRPQCS" (Ssangyong, Korea). The calibration was made with the first derivative and the spectrum designated was in 8 nm interval. The determination coefficients of head rice ratios were 0.8353, 0.8416 and 0.5277 for the MPLS, PLS and PCR, respectively. Those obtained with 20 nm interval were 0.8144, 0.8354 and 0.6908 for the MPLS, PLS and PCR, respectively. The calibration was made with second derivative that spectrum designated was 8 nm in interval. The determination coefficients of head rice ratios were 0.7994, 0.8017 and 0.4473 for the MPLS, PLS and PCR, respectively. Those with 20 nm interval were 0.8004, 0.8493 and 0.6609 for the MPLS, PLS and PCR, respectively. These results indicate that the accuracy of determination coefficient for MPLS and PLS is higher than that of PCR.

This paper presented design for a dipole antenna operated at 900 MHz band RFID tag, and antenna performance varied by the sticked material was experimentally evaluated. When dipole antenna was sticked by the material having a difffrent electric characteristic such as dielectric material, fero-magnetic material and conductor, variations of antenna return loss and radiation pattern according to the sticked material kinds, size, and height between antenna and the sticked plate were experimentally observed and evaluated. When antenna was sticked by dielectric surface, the measured return loss and radiation pattern by affection of different dielectric permittivity ratio showed resonant frequency shift of about 40 MHz and relative attenuation of 1 dB to 3 dB. Even though frequency shift by size variation of the sticked plate was observed, the measured radiation pattern of dipole antenna located on the sticked plate was similar with one without backside plate. In the case of conductor or fero-magnetic material as the sticked ground plate, because of frequency shift and phase difference by distance between dipole antenna and the sticked ground plate, amplitude decrease of radiation pattern at 910 MHz was observed about 5 dB above.
Ferromagnetic resonance (FMR) measurement is an important experimental technique for the study of magnetic dynamics. We designed and set up the vector network analyzer ferromagnetic resonance (VNA-FMR) measurement system with home made coplanar waveguides (CPW). We examined 10-, 20-, 40-nm thick Py thin films to test the performance of the VNA-FMR measurement system. We measured S-parameter (transmission/reflection coefficient) of Py thin films on a CPW. Resonance frequency is investigated from 2.5 to 7 GHz for a field range from 0 to 490 Oe. The VNA-FMR data shows the resonance frequency increment when the external magnetic field increases. We also investigated Gilbert damping constant of Py thin film using resonance frequency (${\omega}_r$) and linewidth ($\Delta\omega$). After investigating dependence of thickness, we find that an decrease in S-parameter intensity as Py thin film thickness decreases. And the FMR results show that the effective saturation magnetization, $M_{eff}$, increase from 7.205($\pm$0.013) kOe to 7.840($\pm$0.014) kOe, while the film thickness varies from 10 to 40 nm.

A $CdIn_{2}Te_{4}$ single crystal was grown by modified veritical bridgman method. The $CdIn_{2}Te_{4}$ single crystal was evaluated to be tetragonal by the powder method. The $CdIn_{2}Te_{4}$ single crystal was confirmed to be grown with its c axis along the lengthe of the boule by the Laue reflection method. Hall effect of $CdIn_{2}Te_{4}$ single crystal was estimated by van der pauw method from 293 K to 30 K. Hall data of the sample perpendicular to c axis was $n=8.75{\times}10^{23}electrons/m^{3},\;R_{H}=7.14{\times}10^{-5}m^{3}/C,\;{\sigma}=176.40{\omega}^{-1}m^{-1},\;{$\mu}=3.41{\times}10^{-2}m^{2}/V.s$ and the sample parallel to c axis was $n=8.61{\times}10^{23}electrons/m^{3},\;R_{H}=7.26{\times}10^{-5}m^{3}/C,\;{\sigma}=333.38{\omega}^{-1}m^{-1}\;and\;{$\mu}=2.42{\times}10^{-2}m^{2}/V.s$ for room temperature. The value of Hall coefficient on sample perpendicular or parallel to c axis were positive. There $CdIn_{2}Te_{4}$ single crystal was p-type semiconductor.

A design method for minimizing transmission loss of a broadband right-angle transition from a coaxial cable to a microstrip line is presented. The right-angle transition has been widely used where printed circuit applications need to be fed from behind the ground plane using coaxial line. To obtain the minimized transmission loss over the whole operating frequency range of the transition, design parameters such as ground aperture and probe diameters, ground aperture offset, and stub length are optimized using a commercial electromagnetic simulation software. Results are presented for the optimum right-angle transition from an SMA connector to a microstrip line on common reinforced 0.787 mm thick PTFE substrates. Measurements of a fabricated transition show that reflection coefficient is less than -22 dB and insertion loss is less than 0.45 dB over $0.05{\sim}20GHz$.

In this paper, we proposed new type of an artificial magnetic conductor(AMC) structure, which has a high impedance surface for realizing the meta-material characteristics. The designed AMC structure set a goal of 3.2GHz, and the reflector, which consists of periodically arrayed AMCs is fabricated and measured. The high impedance improves the reflection coefficient, decreases the system size and interference, and increases the antenna performance. The structure has embodied the high impedance by the thickness and relative permitivity of the dielectric substrate and the design configuration without the metallic via hole which connects the AMC to the GND. The bandwidth is 150% broader than the similar AMC structures. Also, the distance between the antenna and the AMC reflector is decreased by ${\lambda}/10$ as working as the metal(PEC) reflectors. The antenna radiation characteristics are 3dB increased at 10mm away from reflector by measurement. The proposed reflector could be inserted in the portable mobile devices, and the antenna's performance has improved by the reflector. The specific absorption rate is dramatically decreased over 94% because the back radiation of the antenna is shielded.
