In this paper, we overview the system development status of the national maritime precise point positioning-real-time kinematic (PPP-RTK) service in Korea, also known as the Precise POsitioning and INTegrity monitoring (POINT) system. The development of the POINT service began in 2020, and the open service is scheduled to start in 2025. The architecture of the POINT system is composed of three provider-side facilities-a reference station, monitoring station, and central control station-and one user-side receiver platform. Here, we propose the detailed functionality of each component considering unidirectional broadcasting of augmentation data. To meet the centimeter-level user positioning accuracy in maritime coverage, new reference stations were installed. Each reference station operates with a dual receiver and dual antenna to reduce the risk of malfunctioning, which can deteriorate the availability of the POINT service. The initial experimental results of a testbed from corrections generated from the testbed network, including newly installed reference stations, are presented. The results show that the horizontal and vertical accuracies satisfy 2.63 cm and 5.77 cm, respectively. For the purpose of (near) real-time broadcasting of POINT correction data, we designed a correction message format including satellite orbit, satellite clock, satellite signal bias, ionospheric delay, tropospheric delay, and coordinate transformation parameters. The (near) real-time experimental setup utilizing (near) real-time processing of testbed network data and the designed message format are proposed for future testing and verification of the system.

Structure behaviors resulting from an earthquake are experimentally simulated mainly through a shaking table test. As for large-scale structures, however, size effects over a miniature may make it difficult to assess actual behaviors properly. To address this problem, research on the hybrid simulation is being conducted actively. This method is to implement numerical analysis on framework members that affect the general behavior of the structure dominantly through an actual scale experiment and on the rest parts by applying the substructuring technique. However, existing studies on hybrid simulation focus mainly on Slow experimental methods, which are disadvantageous in that it is unable to assess behaviors close to the actual level if material properties change depending on the speed or the influence of inertial force is significant. The present study aims to establish a Real-time hybrid simulation system capable of excitation based on the actual time history and to verify its performance and applicability. The hybrid simulation system built up in this study utilizes the ATS Compensator system, CR integrator, etc. in order to make the target displacement the same with the measured displacement on the basis of MATLAB/Simulink. The target structure was a 2-span bridge and an RC pier to support it was produced as an experimental model in order for the shaking table test and Slow and Real-time hybrid simulations. Behaviors that result from the earthquake of El Centro were examined, and the results were analyzed comparatively. In comparison with the results of the shaking table test, the Real-time hybrid simulation produced more similar maximum displacement and vibration behaviors than the Slow hybrid simulation. Hence, it is thought that the Real-time hybrid simulation proposed in this study can be utilized usefully in seismic capacity assessment of structural systems such as RC pier that are highly non-linear and time-dependent.

This paper discusses issues on the disign and implementation of real-time automatic speaker verification system, as well as the performance analysis of the implemented system. The system employs TI's TMS320C25 digital signal processor TMS320C25 and high speed SRAMs. The system is designed to be used stand-alone as well as via hand-shaking with IBM-PC. The speech parameters used for speaker verification are PARCOR and LPC-cepstrum coefficients, and the employed decision logics are those based on the generalized weighted distance comcept. The implemented system showed the performance of 5.3% error rate for the PARCOR coefficient, and 4.7% error rate for the LPG-cepstrum coefficient.

As increasing the number of Electronic Control Units in a vehicle, the proportion for reliability and stability of the software is going increasingly. Accordingly, the traditional CAN network has occurred the situation that the requirement of developing vehicle software is not sufficient. To solve these problems, the FlexRay network which is ensured the high bandwidth and real-time is generated. However it is difficult to implement FlexRay based application software because of complex protocol than traditional CAN network. Accordingly the system for analysis and verification of network state is needed. Also vehicle vendor develops application software using Matlab/Simulink in order to increase productivity. But this development method is hard to solve the network problem of node to node. Therefore this paper implements Matlab/Simulink based FlexRay network system and verifies it through comparing with existing embedded system.

This paper describes the development of a test-equipment for the pre-verification of navigation performance in cluster-based AUVs (Autonomous Underwater Vehicle). In the development of an AUV, conducting hardware and software development sequentially is not efficient due to the limited research and development period. Therefore, in order to reduce the overall development time and achieve successful development results, it is essential to pre-validate the navigation system and navigation algorithms. Accordingly, this paper explains the test-equipment for pre-verification of navigation performance, and ultimately confirms the stability of the navigation system and the performance of the navigation algorithms through the analysis of five types of navigation sensor data stored during real-sea experiments. The results demonstrate that through the development and verification of the test-equipment, it is possible to shorten the overall development period and improvement of product quality in the process of developing multiple AUVs.

As a research on PKI is being very popular, the study relating to certificate status validation is being grown with aim to reduce an overhead of the protocol and to provide an efficient operation. The OCSP of the standard protocol related to the study enables applications to determine the revocation state of an identified certificate. However, the OCSP server can not service millions of certificate status validation requests from clients in a second on E-commerce because of the computational time for signature and verification. So, we propose the Real-time Certificate Status Validation Protocol(RCSVP) that has smaller computational time than OCSP. RCSVP server reduce the computational time of certificate status validation using hash function and common secret value. Also RCSVP client does not need the computational time of certificate verification to acquire the public key from an identified certificate. Therefore, the proposed protocol enables server to response millions of certificate status validation requests from clients in a second on E-commerce.

In this paper, we describe an implementation of real-time face recognition system under ubiquitous computing environments. First, face image is captured by PDA with CMOS camera and then this image with user n and name is transmitted via WLAN(Wireless LAN) to the server and finally PDA receives verification result from the server The proposed system consists of server and client parts. Server uses PCA and LDA algorithm which calculates eigenvector and eigenvalue matrices using the face images from the PDA at enrollment process. And then, it sends recognition result using Euclidean distance at verification process. Here, captured image is first compressed by the wave- let transform and sent as JPG format for real-time processing. Implemented system makes an improvement of the speed and performance by comparing Euclidean distance with previously calculated eigenvector and eignevalue matrices in the learning process.
