공항철도 차량 동특성 해석 및 시험에 관한 연구 (A Study for Vehicle Dynamic Analysis and Test of Airport Railroad)

  • Airport railroad have required maximum design speed 120km/h and wind speed 50m/s condition as design item of airport railroad vehicles. To design and manufacture the vehicle satisfying these conditions, it must carry out the dynamic behaviors analysis such as hunting stability, ride comfort derailment ratio, unloading ratio and lateral force to meet the criterion described in Urban Railroad Act. Dynamic behaviors of vehicle have carried out using the multi-body dynamics simulation program(VAMPIRE). This paper presents the evaluation methods and criterion used to verify dynamic performance of airport railroad vehicle, and show the analysis results of vehicle dynamic simulation and the test results for vibration and ride comfort measured on running performance tests. As a results, each analysis results and test results meet the criterion described in Urban Railroad Act.

  • Since Maglev vehicle is run over an elevated guideway, the vibrational characteristics of guideway affect the running behavior of the vehicle and guideway. The design of a guideway has a strong effect on the costs of constructing guideways, therefore optimized design of the guideway satisfying running performance is needed for the commercialization of the Maglev vehicle. With an analysis program for dynamics of Maglev vehicles, the dynamic responses of the Maglev vehicle with electromagnet suspension are numerically analyzed according to changes in fundamental natural frequency ratio of a guideway.

  • The total control system of main engine and transmission will be designed specially for use in drive systems in rail vehicles. The domestic diesel train was controlled by the relay control circuit. But the exportation to Europe and the Middle East was controlled by total control system. When the driver operates the train, the operating signals are sent to Voith Controller. The VTIC controls the main engine and transmission. The system communicates with TMS, and the data are displayed by TMS when the function switch at the display unit is operated. The this driving control system which is applied to reduce the maintenace load and cost at Turkey diesel multiple unit train is proposed.

The design of a guideway has a strong effect on the costs of constructing guideways, therefore optimized design of the guideway satisfying running performance is needed for the commercialization of the Maglev vehicle.   • A paradigm shift in driving system of transportation vehicle from engine to electric motor is required as the problems on air pollution and drain of petroleum resource are on the rize. Moreover while it is possible to control the motor with variable frequency driver, the application of motor in various kinds of vehicles is spread rapidly. In the paper, the effective design method of IPMSM for EV and HEV by using equivalent magnetic circuit and finite element method (FEM) is suggested. First of all, load conditions of the application are calculated. And basic design process of IPMSM is proposed with two design point. Finally, in order to verify the proposed design process, it was compared with the basic design parameter and the FEM analysis results.

  • Recently, there are environmental issues for sustainable transportation system to pursue the energy-efficient and environment-friendly public urban transit. These transportation system needs to offer demand-oriented high-quality service being on the same level with cab service for urban space. PRT(Personal Rapid Transit), small track-guided vehicle, is repeatedly mentioned as a possible alternative for the new urban public transportion system, but but there are not many researches on the operational optimal routing for PRT network. In this paper, the concept of PRT and general optimal routing methods are reviewed. And we suggest the optimal routing method for city-wide PRT network with multi-vehicles and stations, junctions and directional arcs. Futher research directions for PRT routing are presented.

  • Induction motors are the main driving force of electric vehicles and operated by pulse width modulation (PWM) inverters in speed control. Contrary to full-voltage operation of induction motors, inverter-fed induction motors (IFM) generates transient overvoltages up to 10 kV/us and transient overvoltages accelerate the deterioration of winding insulation. We investigated transient overvoltages produced by the operation of IFM and analyzed its peak value and dv/dt depending on power cable length and operation frequency. The experimental results showed that transient overvoltages measured at the motor terminal increased with the cable length between inverter and motor.

  • The running safety of rolling stock is assessed by derailment coefficient. It requires lots of preparatory time, expenditure and high measurement technique to measure derailment coefficient. If derailment coefficient could be measured when track or vehicle is maintained, safety will be improved. The measurement and assessment of running safety is necessary for safety especially for the vehicles newly developed and started service. Therefore measurement of derailment coefficient is most important thing to secure running safety. In this paper, we examined new assessment method which could estimate derailment coefficient by measuring vibration acceleration and displacement of vehicle operating at actual track irrespective of time and place. The new method could be used effectively as a mean confirming running safety.

  • Steering systems are classified as FWS(front-wheel steering), RWS(rear-wheel steering) and AWS(all-wheel steering) according to steering position. AWS is effective to reduce turning radius and platform length because all wheels are steered. Although various rear wheel control logics for AWS were developed, these are applied to four wheel steering cars. Therefore new control logics must be developed to apply articulated vehicles. In the present study, it is suggested how to control the real wheels based on the virtual rigid axles and also how to set it to minimize the turning radius.

  • Recently, embedded systems role as control systems instead of mechanical control systems in many parts of vehicles. In cases that embedded systems are used controling the electric signal, it is important to secure the reliability of a software within embedded systems. In this paper, the test platform for securing the reliability and real-time characteristic of the embedded system that controls electric signal of All Wheel Steering Control System in a Bi-modal tram is proposed. The platform is built on a HIL (Hardware In the Loop) architecture. Through the HIL platform, various vehicle conditions, driver activities and environment conditions can be successfully tested without actual driving, hence improving the reliability of the embedded system for the All Wheel Steering Control System.
