  • In this erratum, we correct a mistake in the proof of Proposition 2.7. In fact the equivalence (3) ⇐ (4) "R is a quasi-regular ring if and only if R is a reduced ring and every principal ideal contained in Z(R) is a 0-ideal" does not hold as we only have Rx ⊆ O(S).

  • Let R be a commutative ring with identity and m, n be positive integers. In this paper, we introduce the class of weakly (m, n)-prime ideals generalizing (m, n)-prime and weakly (m, n)-closed ideals. A proper ideal I of R is called weakly (m, n)-prime if for a, b ∈ R, 0 ≠ amb ∈ I implies either an ∈ I or b ∈ I. We justify several properties and characterizations of weakly (m, n)-prime ideals with many supporting examples. Furthermore, we investigate weakly (m, n)-prime ideals under various contexts of constructions such as direct products, localizations and homomorphic images. Finally, we discuss the behaviour of this class of ideals in idealization and amalgamated rings.

  • Let R be a commutative ring with identity, T(R) be the total quotient ring of R, and D be a ring such that $R{\subseteq}D{\subseteq}T(R)$ and D is a finite R-module. In this paper, we show that each regular ideal of R is finitely generated if and only if each regular ideal of D is finitely generated. This is a generalization of the Eakin-Nagata theorem that R is Noetherian if and only if D is Noetherian.

  • Let (R, m) be a Noetherian local ring with maximal ideal m, E := $E_R$(R/m) and let I be an ideal of R. Let M and N be finitely generated R-modules. It is shown that $H^n_I(M,(H^n_I(N)^{\vee})){\cong}(M{\otimes}_RN)^{\vee}$ where grade(I, N) = n = $cd_i$(I, N). We also show that for n = grade(I, R), one has $End_R(H^n_I(P,R)^{\vee}){\cong}Ext^n_R(H^n_I(P,R),P^*)^{\vee}$.

  • Let $R ={\oplus}_{n{\in}Z}R_n$ be a graded commutative Noetherian ring and let I be a graded ideal of R and J be an arbitrary ideal. It is shown that the i-th generalized local cohomology module of graded module M with respect to the (I, J), is graded. Also, the asymptotic behaviour of the homogeneous components of $H^i_{I,J}(M)$ is investigated for some i's with a specified property.

  • In this paper, we will study the structure of the quotient ring R/P of an arbitrary ring R by a prime ideal P. We do so using differential identities involving generalized derivations of R. We enrich our results with examples that show the necessity of their assumptions.

  • Let $R$ be a commutative semiring. We define a proper ideal $I$ of $R$ to be 2-absorbing (resp., weakly 2-absorbing) if $abc{\in}I$ (resp., $0{\neq}abc{\in}I$) implies $ab{\in}I$ or $ac{\in}I$ or $bc{\in}I$. We show that a weakly 2-absorbing ideal $I$ with $I^3{\neq}0$ is 2-absorbing. We give a number of results concerning 2-absorbing and weakly 2-absorbing ideals and examples of weakly 2-absorbing ideals. Finally we de ne the concept of 0 - (1-, 2-, 3-)2-absorbing ideals of $R$ and study the relationship among these classes of ideals of $R$.

  • In this paper we define prime right ideals of semirings and prove that if every right ideal of a semiring R is prime then R is weakly regular. We also prove that if the set of right ideals of R is totally ordered then every right ideal of R is prime if and only if R is right weakly regular. Moreover in this paper we also define prime subsemimodule (generalizing the concept of prime right ideals) of an R-semimodule. We prove that if a subsemimodule K of an R-semimodule M is prime then $A_K(M)$ is also a prime ideal of R.
