Quality Control Methods using Gamification (게임화를 이용한 품질관리 개선방안)

  • As importance of quality control in corporate environments is increasing, new methods for quality control have been suggested by various researchers. Based on gamification theory, this study suggests a new method for quality control. Firstly, this paper defines three problems of quality control that can be easily faced with in corporate environments. Secondly, three gamification methods aiming quality improvement are suggested. Finally, a survey is provided to prove the effect of the suggested gamification methods. Comparing the suggested gamification methods with the existing quality control methods, this study found that the suggested gamification methods could improve the level of quality control.

  • The effectiveness of quality control is contingent to adaptability to the present circumstance. The objectives of this study are to provide empirical data to carry out qualify control effectively. To accomplish this purpose, an empirical study was made by questionaire (mailing survey method, Feb. to Mar. in 1987). The sample is the 167 companies in Korean manufacturing industry. The main findings out of the analysis are as follows the stage of quality control is concentrated in appraisal phase, the company standard is equiped gradually in non-KS marked company and the need of economic evaluation about quality control is increased gradually. With a view to analysing of relationship between quality control and it's effect factors (company standard, KS mark, computer based information system), the methods of $\chi$$^2$ test are used. The company standard have a significant difference in top manager's altitude to duality control, operation stage of quality control. operation scope of qualify control and quality budgeting system but is insignificant with economic evaluation about duality control. Otherwise, KS mark is insignificant with the equality control activity except for operation scope. The quality information system based in computer have a significant difference in operation stage, operation scope and economic evaluation. Therefor, for the purpose of attaining effectiveness of quality control through the economic evaluation about quality control, the company standard and computer based duality information system must be utilized in quality control activity.

  • Quality information is known to have the characteristic of continuous distribution in many manufacturing processes. It is difficult to describe the process condition by classifying the distribution into discrete ranges which is based on the set concept. Fuzzy control chart has been developed for the control of linguistic data but it still utilizes the dichotomous notion of classical set theory. In this paper, the fuzzy sampling method is studied in order to manage the ambiguous data properly and incorporated for generating fuzzy control chart. The method is based on the fuzzy set concept and considered to be appropriate for the realization of a complete fuzzy control chart. The fuzzy control chart was compared with the conventional generalized p-chart in the sensitivity for quality distribution and robustiness against the noise. The fuzzy control chart with the fuzzy sampling method showed better characteristics.

Uniform Picture Quality Control among Video Sources (동영상 신호원간 균등화질 제어방법)

  • It is required to control the picture quality among video sources when the multiple video sources are together transmitted through the channel of fried bandwidth such as satellite and terrestrial broadcasting. This paper presents a control method to keep the uniform picture quality among the video sources. We first find a model of distortion and titrate far the multiplexing system of multiple sources. Then we allocate the bitrate to each source for uniformly divided picture quality among the sources by using the distortion-bitrate relationship for the real-time implementation without time delay. It is shown by simulation that the proposed quality control method can keep almost uniform picture quality among the sources in comparison to the conventional control method.

  • On the quality control of commercial Zingiberis Rhizoma and its processed product, quantitative determination of 6-gingerol using HPLC method has been conducted. Quantitative analysis off-gingerol in Zingiberis Rhizoma showed average 0.359% in 14 samples collected throughout the regions of Korea. The contents of 6-gingerol in Zingiberis Rhizome were decreased during the processing procedure (0.306%).

  • In this paper, a novel method of reaching law variable structure control based on fuzzy rules is present, which is that the reaching law parameters is on-line adjusted by fuzzy rules. This method is used in a digital ac position servo system, the experiment results show that the system designed by this method has both satisfactory quality and very smaller chattering.

  • The present automated manufacturing environment is very different when the classical statistical process control method based on batch processing were used. Therefore these must be replaced by automated statistical process control method. In this point of view, this paper intends to develop the automated statistical process control method which can be implemented in the present automated manufacturing environment. Specially this study developed the rules to identify the special causes of the manufacturing process in the aspect of the 100 PPM management, and a numerical example is demonstrated to verify the usefulness of these rules.

  • The purpose of this research is to develop the design/control method that can be used for the improvement of harbour tranquility and water quality of fishing ports. For this end, firstly, the hydraulic environmental characteristics of fishing ports in the coastal waters of the Korean Peninsula are analysed and discussed combined with disasters of facilities and vessels in the ports. Secondly the problems of water quality control is pointed out considered with the improvement measures of harbour tranquility such as the methods of lengthen of main breakwaters and construction of wave absorbing structures. Finally, the control characteristics of composite functions of water quality and tranquility of fishing port are discussed and the improved control method si proposed using the experimental results for the various measures. The proposed measure is proved to be a applicable method to improve these two main functions on the design of fishing port.
