  • Weeds are a major object which is very harmful to crops. To remove the weeds effectively, we have to classify them accurately and use herbicides. As computing technology has developed, image-based machine learning methods have been studied in this field, specially convolutional neural network(CNN) based models have shown good performance in public image dataset. However, CNN with numerous training parameters and high computational amount. Thus, it works under high hardware condition of expensive GPUs in real application. To solve these problems, in this paper, a hierarchical architecture based deep-learning model is proposed. The experimental results show that the proposed model successfully classify 21 species of the exotic weeds. That is, the model achieve 97.2612% accuracy with a small number of parameters. Our proposed model with a few parameters is expected to be applicable to actual application of network based classification services.

  • Any kind of animation film are almost inseparable from the role of characters, with distinct personalities, and well-created characters are not only the expressors of narrative and themes, but also the ones who communicate with the audience and form resonance. Nowadays, with the improvement of the public's aesthetics, the production of excellent animation, the characters with a single personality have been almost eliminated. So how to create a profound role has become a topic worthy of study. This paper is based on Freud's theory of personality structure and ego defense mechanism. The main research object is the main character of the animation film "The Tale of The Princess Kaguya". At the end of the thesis, by analyzing Kaguya's image characteristics and individual pursuits, it explores director Isao Takahata's understanding of character shaping. In this way, it also provides a reference to produce animation works.

  • Silicone tetrachloride (SiCl4) leak accidents cause enormous human and environmental damage because it is highly toxic. Some handling facilities use water curtains to reduce the impact range of SiCl4. Although the water curtain is known as one of the most efficient technologies for post-release mitigation, its effect on reducing SiCl4 concentration needs to be investigated scientifically and quantitatively. In this study, three-dimensional computational fluid dynamics (CFD) was used to investigate the physical and chemical effects of water curtains as a release-mitigation system for SiCl4. SiCl4 is released and dispersed five seconds prior to the operation of the water curtain. Once the water curtain works, the SiCl4 reacts chemically with the water and its concentration decreases rapidly; it reaches an emergency response planning guidelines level 2 (ERPG-2) of 5 parts per million (ppm) at about 570 m. We observed, however, that the physical effect of water curtains on reducing SiCl4 concentration is insignificant when the chemical effect is eliminated. These results are crucial since they can be a scientific and quantitative basis for the 'technical guidelines for estimating the accident affected range'. In order to protect the public from chemical accidents, more toxic gas mitigation technologies need to be developed.

  • Internal dosimetry is a discipline which brings together a set of knowledge, tools and procedures for calculating the dose received after incorporation of radionuclides into the body. Several steps are necessary to calculate the committed effective dose (CED) for workers or members of the public. Each step uses the best available knowledge in the field of radionuclide biokinetics, energy deposition in organs and tissues, the efficiency of radiation to cause a stochastic effect, or in the contributions of individual organs and tissues to overall detriment from radiation. In all these fields, knowledge is abundant and supported by many works initiated several decades ago. That makes the CED a very robust quantity, representing exposure for reference persons in reference situation of exposure and to be used for optimization and assessment of compliance with dose limits. However, the CED suffers from certain limitations, accepted by the International Commission on Radiological Protection (ICRP) for reasons of simplification. Some of its limitations deserve to be overcome and the ICRP is continuously working on this. Beyond the efforts to make the CED an even more reliable and precise tool, there is an increasing demand for personalized dosimetry, particularly in the medical field. To respond to this demand, currently available tools in dosimetry can be adjusted. However, this would require coupling these efforts with a better assessment of the individual risk, which would then have to consider the physiology of the persons concerned but also their lifestyle and medical history. Dosimetry and risk assessment are closely linked and can only be developed in parallel. This paper presents the state of the art of internal dosimetry knowledge and the limitations to be overcome both to make the CED more precise and to develop other dosimetric quantities, which would make it possible to better approximate the individual dose.

  • Purpose: Nowadays, the risk assessment system is widely used in many industrial and public areas to reduce the possible risks. The system is used to determine the priorities of the government quality assurance works in Defense Agency for Technology and Quality. However, as the risk assessment system is used for other purposes, there are some items that need improvement, and in this study, we propose improvement plans by benchmarking the risk assessment systems of other institutions. Methods: In this paper, first, the procedures of risk assessment system used in many industrial sites were reviewed, and how each institution specialized and applied the system. Afterwards, by benchmarking various risk assessment systems, an improvement plan on how to operate the risk assessment system in the case of government quality assurance for centrally procured military supplies was presented, and practical application cases were presented to prove the usefulness of the improvement plan. Results: The proposed risk assessment system differs from the existing system in five major aspects. First, inputs, outputs, and key performance indicators were specified from the systematic point of view. Second, risk analysis was analyzed in four dimensions: probability of occurrence, impact, detection difficulty. Third, risk mitigation measures were classified, control, transfer, and sharing. Fourth, the risk mitigation measures were realized through document verification, product verification, process verification, and quality system evaluation. Finally, risk mitigation measures were implemented and the effectiveness of the risk mitigation measures was evaluated through effectiveness evaluation. Conclusions: In order for the risk assessment procedure proposed in this study to be applied to actual work, it is necessary to obtain the consent of the person involved in the work due to the increased time for risk identification and preparation of the government quality assurance log, and a change in the information system that performs the actual work is required. Therefore, the authors of this study plan to actively perform internal seminar presentations and work improvement suggestions to apply these research outputs to actual work.
