The Influence of Fire officials's Job stress on Wellness : A Mediating Effect of Positive Psychological Capital (소방공무원의 직무스트레스가 웰니스에 미치는 영향 : 긍정심리자본의 매개효과)

  • The purpose of this study was to examine to identify factors affecting wellness of fire officials. This study collected questionnaire data from 219 fire officials working in Gyeongsangnam-do. Data were analyzed using descriptive statistics, Pearson's correlation, Sobel test and multiple regression analysis with IBM SPSS statistics 24.0 program. Wellness of fire officials was correlated with job stress(r=.-49, p<.001) and positive psychological capital(r=.70, p<.001). In addition, job stress showed a significant negative correlation with positive psychological capital (r=-.56, p<.001). As a result of analyzing the mediating effect of positive psychological capital on the relationship between job stress and wellness of fire officials, positive psychological capital showed a significant mediating effect. Based on the finding, it is necessary to develop an intervention program that strengthens positive psychological capital in order to improve the wellness of fire officials and reduce job stress.

A Study on the Impact Positive Psychological Capital of Tour Guides on Job Satisfaction and Organizational Commitment (관광가이드의 긍정심리자본 요인이 직무만족 및 조직몰입에 미치는 영향에 관한 연구)

  • Purpose - The purpose of this study is to identify the influence relationship between positive psychological capital, job satisfaction, and organizational commitment of tourism guides, and to provide implications through empirical research to increase the capabilities of tourism guides that are a factor in the performance of planned travel products Design/methodology/approach - This study conducted an empirical survey using the google online questionnaire. It was directly surveyed, distributed, and collected from workers who were or were performing tourism guide duties in Asia and Europe, and 203 questionnaires were used for analysis. The empirical survey was conducted in a self-written manner through a simple random sampling method, and the statistical package was conducted with frequency analysis, factor analysis, multiple regression analysis, and correlation analysis using the spss 21.0 program. Findings - First, among the positive psychological capital factors, two factors, hope and optimism, have a significant positive (+) effect on job satisfaction. Second, among the positive psychological capital factors, two factors, self-efficacy and optimism, have a significant positive (+) effect on organizational commitment. Third, job satisfaction has a significant positive (+) effect on organizational commitment Research implications or Originality - The implications of this study are that the research results have had a positive (+) effect on the variables of positive psychological capital, job satisfaction, and organizational commitment of tourism guides, and have laid the foundation for academic research on research topics. In practice, it is expected to increase the positive psychological capital of tourism guides and have a significant impact on the organization's performance by actively supporting and supporting individuals related to the sustainable growth of travel products.

The Influence of Public Hospital Nurses' Psychological Capital and Nursing Work Environment on Job Embeddedness (공공병원 간호사의 심리적 자본, 간호업무환경이 직무착근도에 미치는 영향)

  • Purpose: This study aimed to investigate the influence of public hospital nurses' psychological capital and nursing work environment on job embeddedness. Methods: A descriptive cross-sectional survey was conducted from October 21 to 31, 2022. A total of 200 participants working at a public hospital in Gyeonggi-do were recruited. Data collection was conducted using questionnaires. Data were analyzed using t-test, one-way ANOVA, Pearson correlation coefficient, and hierarchical regression analysis. Results: The mean scores of psychological capital and nursing work environment were 3.32±0.60 out of 5 and 2.43±0.48 out of 4, respectively. The mean score for Job embeddedness was 3.14±0.72 out of 5. Psychological capital showed a significant positive correlation with nursing work environment and job embeddeness, and nursing work environment also showed a significant positive correlation with job embeddedness. The factors affecting job embeddeness of public hospital nurses were positive psychological capital, nursing work environment, and age. Conclusions: The results of this study suggest that in order to increase job embeddedness, it is necessary to develop education and programs that can strengthen positive psychological capital of public hospital nurses. In addition, the nursing work environment must be improved by providing appropriate manpower and resources.

  • With research findings that the righteous and advanced society relies on the microscopic personal experience related to the justice as well as the perilous reality of 70% of corporate employees in all industrial environment, this study samples employees in the manufacturing and construction industry, both of which take up 40% of all industries, to look into how the awareness of the justice within their organizations influences the organizational commitment through psychological capital and occupational satisfaction; and to understand the beginnings for the macroscopic change. As a result of verifying the interrelationship between the justice and psychological factors, distributive justice and interactive justice are in a positive relationship with the psychological capital while procedural justice shows no influence; the procedural justice and interactive justice are positive with the occupational satisfaction whereas the distributive justice shows no influence. Also psychological capital appears positive with the occupational satisfaction and organizational commitment while occupational satisfaction is positively related to the organizational commitment.

Positive Psychological Capital, Job Intensity, Customer Orientation and trust in O2O Distribution Market

  • Purpose: O2O Service is a major internet-based distribution industry. The purpose of this study is to confirm the effects of positive psychological capital on job intensity, customer orientation, and the mediating effects of trust of O2O employee. Research design, data and methodology: This study aims to identify the effect of positive psychological capital on customer orientation and job intensity through empirical analysis. 475 questionnaires were used for the final analysis using random sampling methods from O2O employees working at leading distribution companies for hypothesis verification. The analysis methods used for hypothesis testing in this study were analyzed using the SPSS 21.0 statistical package. Results: Empirical analysis shows that it is an important factor in increasing job intensity and customer orientation, and that company trust has a significant influence through mediating effects among variables. Conclusions: In order to enhance job intensity and customer orientation for O2O distribution workers, it is necessary to change efforts with management efforts for positive psychological factors and trust. It is also believed that company trust should be considered as an important factor in the future leadership competency development system in that it can promote positive psychological capital, further strengthening job intensity and customer orientation.

  • This research aims to explore factors influencing creativity among the employees of nanotechnology companies. Further, this survey aimed to investigate the role of psychological capital (PS), job satisfaction (JS) and corporate social responsibility (CSR) as sources to foster creativity. Participants included 375 employees of nanotechnology companies in China. Sequential mediation analysis revealed that creativity was significantly influenced by psychological capital, job satisfaction and corporate social responsibility. Furthermore, not only psychological capital, job satisfaction and corporate social responsibility were directly and indirectly related to creativity but also explained 67.35% variance of it. It seems that having more psychological resources, more well-being and good feelings concerning performance in the workspace and the efforts of companies to improve employee welfare are among the most important factors in increasing employee creativity. Our findings can help companies, especially nontechnology companies, in focusing on factors fostering the creativity of employees, because creativity enhances and promotes the performance and success of companies.

Positive Psychological Capital and Turnover Intention: The Mediating Effect of Perceived Work Overload and the Moderating Effect of Trust in Supervisor (긍정심리자본이 이직의도에 미치는 영향: 인지된 직무과부하의 매개효과와 상사신뢰의 조절효과)

  • This study analyzed the effect of an employee's psychological capacity(positive psychological capital), on perceived work overload, and explored how trust in supervisor moderated this relationship. In addition, we examined how positive psychological capital and perceived work overload influenced turnover intention. In doing so, we identified the antecedents of perceived work overload, and suggested ways to nurture positive psychological capital in organizations. Using survey data from 214 employees in the manufacturing industry in Korea, we found that positive psychological capital was negatively related to perceived work overload, and that the relationship was moderated by trust in supervisors. In addition, positive psychological capital was negatively associated while perceived work overload was positively associated with turnover intention. Results suggest the importance of understanding positive psychological capital given its crucial relationship with perceived work overload and turnover intention. The result also emphasizes the role that trust in supervisor plays, and the need to nurture employees' positive psychological capital in organizations.

  • In an environment that places a priority on morality, authentic leadership is becoming increasingly important. Chinese enterprises are putting a lot of effort into improving their employees' psychological safety and positive psychological capital (PsyCap). This study examines the influence of authentic leadership on positive PsyCap and psychological safety, as well as the influence of positive PsyCap on psychological safety in China. It also examines whether positive PsyCap plays a mediating role. Authentic leadership has a positive effect on both positive PsyCap and psychological safety. Positive PsyCap also has a positive effect on psychological safety. Moreover, positive PsyCap had a mediation effect on the relationship between authentic leadership and psychological safety. This result means that an authentic leadership style can stimulate employees' psychological capital, make the staff more confident and promote optimistic attitudes, hopeful minds, and plenty of other positive psychological states. At the same time, it promotes the psychological safety of employees in Chinese art enterprises. The significance of this study is that it investigates the effects and processes of authentic leadership on psychological safety and positive PsyCap in Chinese art enterprises. The implications of this research bridge a theoretical gap in the field, and provide feasible suggestions and guidance for development in the discipline. Enterprises should attach importance to the selection, cultivation, and appointment of authentic leaders. They must also pay attention to trends in employee psychological safety and positive PsyCap.

A Convergence Effect of Positive Psychological Capital and Psychological Well-being on Work Engagement of Medium and Small Hospitals Nurses (중소병원 간호사의 긍정심리자본과 심리적웰빙이 직무열의에 미치는 융합적 영향)

  • This study was to identify the convergence factors that affect work engagement in medium and small hospitals nurses, The research method were self -report questionnaire was completed by 198 nurse three hospitals in B city between April 18th to April 30th, 2016. and date analyzed using the IBM SPSS/WIN 22.0 program. As a result, work engagement was positively correlated with psychological capital and psychological well-being, significantly affecting Convergence Factors analysis showed that with positive psychological capital(${\beta}=.363$, p<.001) and psychological well-being(${\beta}=.300$, p<.001) explained 52.7%, level of education(${\beta}=.102$, p=.040), job satisfaction(${\beta}=.109$, p=.044), nursing satisfaction(${\beta}=.137$, p=.022) explained 4.4% of the work engagement. Based on this, It is necessary to develop and verify program to enhance the positive psychological capital and psychological well-being of medium small hospital nurses.

  • This study analyzed the causal relationship between positive psychological capital and psychological well-being of hospital administrative staff among the medical institution workers who were hard to find in previous studies. The purpose of this study is to suggest the policy implications to improve the psychological well-being level of the hospital administrative staff through the analysis results. For the empirical analysis of variables, self-efficacy, hope, optimism, and resilience were selected as the independent variables. Selfacceptance, positive relations with others and autonomy were selected as dependent variables. The results of empirical analysis showed that there is a significant relationship between the variables and theoretical and policy implications were suggested based on these results.
