  • High voltage distribution lines in the electric railway system placed according track with communication lines and signal equipments. Case of the over head lines is occurrence the many fault because lightning, rainstorm, damage from the sea wind and so on. According this fault caused protection device to wrong operation. One line ground fault that occurs most frequently in railway high voltage distribution lines and sort of faults is line short, three line ground breaking of a wire, and so on. For this reason we need precise maintenance for prevent of the faults. The most important is early detection and fast restoration in time of fault for a safety transit. In order to develop an advanced fault location device for 22.9[kV] distribution power network in electric railway system this paper deals with new fault locating algorithm using flow technique which enable to determine the location of the fault accurately. To demonstrate its superiorities, the case studies with the algorithm and the fault analysis using PSCAD/EMTDC (Power System Computer Aided Design/Electro Magnetic Transients DC Analysis Program) were carried out with the models of direct-grounded 22.9[kV] distribution network which is supposed to be the grounding method for electric railway system in Korea.

  • With the rapid development in network, graphic technology, and digital technology, content industry is emerging as an important industry for new cultural development and economic development. The development in digital content technology has remarkably expanded the generation and distribution of contents, thereby creating new value and extending into a large distribution market. However, the ease of distribution and duplication, which characterizes digital technology, has increased the circulation of illegal contents due to illegal copying, theft, and alteration. The damage caused by this illegal content is severe. Currently, a copyright protection system targeting online sites is available. By contrast, no system has been established for offline companies that sell offline genuine content, which compete with online companies. The demand for content of overseas tourists is increasing due to the Korean wave craze. Nevertheless, many offline content providers have lost competitiveness due to illegal content distribution with online companies. In this study, we analyzed the case and status of similar copyright certification systems in Korea and overseas through previous research and studied a system to certify the offline genuine contents business. In addition to the case analysis, we focused on interviews obtained through in-depth interviews with the copyright stakeholders. We also developed a certification framework by establishing the certification domain, certification direction, and incentive of the certification system for offline businesses with genuine content. Selected certification direction is ethical, open, inward, store, and rigid (post evaluation). This study aimed to increase awareness among consumers about the use of genuine content and establish a transparent trading order in a healthy content market.

  • Information technology(IT) is changing rapidly based on growth of internet and computer businesses. Therefore, computer programs and softwares are distributed to computer users promptly for their productivity increase and efficient work. So, in the distribution, the softwares will be copied or released through network or other methods which are not authorized by the program owners. In that case, copyright dispute is incurred and various issues are come out due to infringement of the software copyright. Thus, the purpose of this study is to research infringement cases of the software copyright and how to settle the dispute which is related with software programs. To achieve the purpose of this study, this research consisted of 5 chapters. At chapter 1 introduction, it mentioned necessity of this study, purpose and how to research this study, and at chapter 2 dispute factors indicated and summarized for technical resolution. At chapter 3, infringement cases of software copyright analyzed and studied upon intellectual property(IP) related laws. And methods of dispute settlement discussed and suggested to chapter 4 for copyright and intellectual property protection. Also, it emphasized importance of arbitration to resolve the issues timely and avoid time and economical consumption. Of course, arbitration law has to be matched with the trend of technology development for effective settlement. At chapter 5 conclusion, it summarized this research and suggested further research for empirical test of economic value of the software copyright upon the aspect of business, law, and engineering. In this study, the results are 1) IP related laws have to be enacted or revised to meet technical changes for the protection of software copyright on time. The enactment or the revision of law takes a long time, therefore, to deal the dispute effectively, 2) arbitration law has to be utilized efficiently in order to resolve issues and settle the dispute promptly. It is suggested the dispute settlement through arbitration to save time and economic matters for legislation, and to harmony with the technology trends. 3) Recognition of software copyright is to be improved by users and enterprises for development of software related industries and intellectual property protection. • P2P(Peer To Peer) system, a most attractive file sharing system, is the largest channel of contents distribution and it takes 50% of network traffic. But P2P systems are infamous for used to illegal contents distribution channel not only in music industry, but also in movie industry. But, DRM(Digital Right Management) enabled P2P models are not suggested until now that interrupting illegal contents distribution and keeping advantage of P2P. So in this paper, we suggest a DRM enabled P2P model that can support distributed processing ability and high scalability with no modification in exist P2P model or architecture.

  • As the grid-connected photovoltaic power conditioning systems (PVPCS) are installed in many residential areas, this has raised potential problems of network protection on electrical power system. One of the numerous problems is an Island phenomenon. There has been an argument that because the probability of islanding is extremely low it may be a non-issue in practice. However, there are three counter-arguments: First, the low probability of islanding is based on the assumption of 100% power matching between the PVPCS and the islanded local loads. In fact, an island can be easily formed even without 100% power matching (the power mismatch could be up to 30% if only traditional protections are used, e.g. under/over voltage/frequency). The 30% power-mismatch condition will drastically increase the islanding probability. Second, even with a larger power mismatch, the time for voltage or frequency to deviate sufficient to cause a trip, plus the time required to execute the trip (particularly if conventional switchgear is required to operate), can easily be greater than the typical re-close time on the distribution circuit. And, third, the low-probability argument is based on the study of PVPCS. Especially, if the output power of PVPCS equals to power consumption of local loads, it is very difficult for the PVPCS to sustain the voltage and frequency in an island. Unintentional islanding of PVPCS may result in power-quality issues, interference to grid-protection devices, equipment damage, and even personnel safety hazards. So the verification of anti-islanding performance is strongly needed. In this paper, the authors propose the improved RPV method through considering power quality and anti-islanding capacity of grid-connected three-phase PVPCS in IEEE Std 1547 ("Standard for Interconnecting Distributed Resources to Electric Power Systems"). And the simulation and experimental results are verified.

  • Due to the rapid progress in network technology, many research on content security technologies is also being conducted in the mobile digital content sector. In the meantime, content protection has been immersed in preventing illegal copying, certifying, and issuance/management certificates, but still have many vulnerabilities in managing or authenticating confidential information. This study aims to strengthen confidential information about content based on dual management of content download rights through mobile phone numbers or device numbers. It also protect replay-attack by building a secure mobile DRM system where digital content is safely distributed based on a three-stage user authentication process. In addition, blockchain-based content security enhancements were studied during the primary/secondary process for user authentication for the prevention of piracy and copyright protection. In addition, the client authentication process was further improved through three final stages of authorization in the use of illegal content, considering that legitimate users redistributed their content to third-party.

  • With widespread use of the Internet and improvements in streaming media and compression technology, digital music, video, and image can be distributed instantaneously across the Internet to end-users. However, most conventional Digital Right Management are often not secure and not fast enough to process the vast amount of data generated by the multimedia applications to meet the real-time constraints. The SVC offers temporal, spatial, and SNR scalability to varying network bandwidth and different application needs. Meanwhile, for many multimedia services, security is an important component to restrict unauthorized content access and distribution. This suggests the need for new cryptography system implementations that can operate at SVC. In this paper, we propose a new scrambling encryption for reserving the characteristic of scalability in MPEG4-SVC. In the base layer, the proposed algorithm is applied and performed the selective scambling. And it encrypts various MVS and intra-mode scrambling in the enhancement layer. In the decryption, it decrypts each encrypted layers by using another encrypted keys. Throughout the experimental results, the proposed algorithms have low complexity in encryption and the robustness of communication errors.

  • In Internet of Things (IoT) era, more diverse types of information are collected and the environment of information usage, distribution, and processing is changing. Recently, there have been a growing number of cases involving breach and infringement of personal information in IoT services, for examples, including data breach incidents of Web cam service or drone and hacking cases of smart connected car or individual monitoring service. With the evolution of IoT, concerns on personal information protection has become a crucial issue and thus the risk analysis and management method of personal information should be systematically prepared. This study shows risk factors in IoT regarding possible breach of personal information and infringement of privacy. We propose "a risk analysis framework of protecting personal information in IoT environments" consisting of asset (personal information-type and sensitivity) subject to risk, threats of infringement (device, network, and server points), and social impact caused from the privacy incident. To verify this proposed framework, we conducted risk analysis of IoT services (smart communication device, connected car, smart healthcare, smart home, and smart infra) using this framework. Based on the analysis results, we identified the level of risk to personal information in IoT services and suggested measures to protect personal information and appropriately use it.

  • The aim of this study was to analyze the local distribution of the heavy metal concentration in Daegu and Ulsan which were divided into the residual areas, the traffic dense areas and the industrial areas. The Inductively Coupled Plasma(ICP) was used to analyze heavy metals, such as As, Cr, Hg, Zn, Cd, Pb, Cu and minor metals, such as Fe, Si, Mg, Ca, AI, Na, K. The results of this analysis showed that the content of heavy metals which was classified by districts in Daegu and Ulsan was the highest in the industrial areas followed by the traffic dense areas and the residual areas. Compared to the level of heavy metals of national and local soil survey network in 2003, contamination of heavy metals in Daegu was lower than national average. However, the content of Cd, As, Zn in Ulsan was respectively 13.38 times, 472 times and 2.65 times higher than national average contamination. In addition, compared to the soil pollution level of the environmental protection law, contamination of all areas in Daegu was lower. But the content of As at the industrial areas in Ulsan was 10.71 times higher than standard of soil pollution and 4.28 times higher than standard of measures against soil contamination.
