  • The purpose of this study was to evaluate the effect of multiple application of all-in-one dentin adhesive system on microtensile bond strength using confocal laser scanning microscope and microtensile bond strength test. The dentin surface of human molars, sectioned to remove the enamel from the occlusal surface were prepared. In group I, Scotchbond Multipurpose(SM, 3M ESPE) was applied by manufature's recommended. In group II, after the all-in-one adhesive, Adper Prompt L-Pop was applied for 15s, and light cured for 10s, the second coat was re-applied and light-cured.(omitted)

  • Perforation of the hypopharynx, which can occur after anterior cervical approach, is a very rare type of complication. If diagnosed late, it can lead to very fatal course, such as mediastinitis and hematosepsis. Therefore, a precise and prompt diagnosis is crucial. When conservative treatment alone is not expected to heal the perforated site or is likely to lead to serious complications, surgical treatment becomes necessary. This report demonstrates that surgical intervention performed immediately after an early diagnosis can lead to the successful treatment of a large perforation in the hypopharynx on a 58-year-old male patient.

  • Despite all preventive efforts, aspiration of foreign body during clinical dental procedures occurs occasionally. Careful clinical physical examination, proper assessment of radiography and prompt emergency treatment can prevent any potentially serious consequences. In this report, we will report serial cases of foreign body in different situation from mild cases to severe cases and suggest some clinical guidelines to dental health care providers.

  • There was clinical study to support the efficacy that the anti-inflammatory and analgesic properties of deoxyribonuclease, bromelain helped to reduce symptoms of inflammation. The current study investigated the effects of deoxyribonuclease, bromelain on local traumatic edema. The author used a drug containing proteolytic and mucolytic enzymes, deoxyribonuclease and bromelain, into 61 patients from 16 to 89 years old. The therapeutic response and tolerance had been excellent, which was permitted to a swift resolution on local traumatic edema and a prompt functional reestablishment. These results demonstrated that the drug was effective in local edema symptoms, pains and improving general condition suffering from trauma. Consequently, the use of the proteolytic and mucolytic enzyme$(Deanase^{(R)})$ require improvement in the rehabilitation of the injured.

  • Appendicitis is a common cause of acute abdomen in pediatrics. Periappendiceal abscesses are frequently found in the pediatric population. Acute appendicitis in children can, at times, be a difficult clinical diagnosis because of its highly variable history? and physical manifestations and its unpredictable course. Despite the uncertainty of the diagnosis, appendicitis demands prompt treatment because of the risk of perforation, which occurs in approximately one third of cases. Urological manifestations of appendicitis and appendiceal abscess can vary. Acute appendicitis presenting with ureteral stenosis and hydronephrosis is very rare. Here, we report a case of acute appendicitis with perforation and left hydronephrosis in a 3-year-old female. This case presents a 3-year-old girl with dysuria having hydronephrosis that originated from a perforated appendix.

  • Quality management activities are an important factor that they could be regarded as a most significant drive to prompt growth of a corporation. From this research as core strategy of the enterprise single ppm wants to emphasize the importance of the quality management activity. The Empirical results are summarized as follows, for successful Single PPM, leadership and corporate culture should be based on. As Single PPM activities factor, Customer Management significantly affects Single PPM Performance. Therefore, to the success of quality management activities, internal corporate leadership and corporate culture must be formed. And for customer management, should take advantage of a variety of the company's internal and external information strategically.

  • The complications of deep neck infection have become much less common in the antibiotic era. The vascular complications of deep neck infection can have devasting consequences. Most commonly, the internal carotid artery is involved, although the common carotid and external carotid artery can also be affected.0 the cases of patients with a protracted course, recurrent bleeding, cranial neuropathies, or trismus, the presence of vascular complications must be considered. Appropriate imaging should be carried out to allow the localization of the infection and ascertain the status of the vessels in the neck The vascular structures can be imaged with duplex doppler or color doppler flow ultrasound to see the flow between the mass and vessels. Also angiography plays a key role in the diagnosis and management of vascular complication of deep neck infection. Prompt diagnosis and treatment of these patients is necessary to prevent significant hemmorrhagic complications. We experienced a case of pseudoaneurysm of the common carotid artery secondary to deep neck infection treated successfully with surgical excision in 45-year-old-male.

  • Core disruptive accidents have been investigated at Korea Atomic Energy Research Institute(KAERI) as part of the work to demonstrate the inherent and ultimate safety of conceptual design of the Korea Advanced Liquid Metal Reactor(KALIMER), a 150 MWe pool- type sodium cooled prototype fast reactor that uses U-Pu-Zr metallic fuel. In this study, a simple method and associated computer program, SCHAMBETA, was developed using a modified Bethe-Tait method to simulate the kinetics and thermodynamic behavior of a homogeneous spherical core over the period of the super-prompt critical power excursion induced by the ramp reactivity insertion. Calculations of the energy release during excursions in the sodium-voided core of the KALIMER were subsequently performed using the SCHAMBETA code for various reactivity insertion rates up to 100 S/s, which has been widely considered to be the upper limit of ramp rates due to fuel compaction. Benchmark calculations were made to compare with the results of more detailed analysis for core meltdown energetics of the oxide fuelled fast reactor. A set of parametric studies were also performed to investigate the sensitivity of the results on the various thermodynamics and reactor parameters.

  • With ever-advancing computer technology, the Monte Carlo (MC) neutron transport calculation is expanding its application area to nuclear reactor transient analysis. Dynamic MC (DMC) neutron tracking for transient analysis requires efficient algorithms for delayed neutron generation, neutron population control, and initial condition modeling. In this paper, a new MC steady-state simulation method based on time-dependent MC neutron tracking is proposed for steady-state initial condition modeling; during this process, prompt neutron sources and delayed neutron precursors for the DMC transient simulation can easily be sampled. The DMC method, including the proposed time-dependent DMC steady-state simulation method, has been implemented in McCARD and applied for two-dimensional core kinetics problems in the time-dependent neutron transport benchmark C5G7-TD. The McCARD DMC calculation results show good agreement with results of a deterministic transport analysis code, nTRACER.

  • This study analyzed the effect of the extracurricular activity management system on user satisfaction. For this purpose, the effects of content, navigation, screen frame, design, interaction, and error handling factors on user satisfaction were analyzed. A survey was conducted on 321 students of K University located in Chungcheongbuk-do, and the research results based on the survey contents are as follows. First, content, navigation, screen frame, interactivity, and error handling, which are major elements of the extracurricular activity management system, showed statistically significant results. Second, interactivity and error handling were found to have the greatest influence on the factors affecting user satisfaction of the extracurricular activity management system. In this study, it was found that the interaction of the whole system including contents is important for continuous improvement of the extracurricular activity management system, and that it has a positive effect on user satisfaction when prompt error handling is possible.
