  • A leak detection method for diagnosis of the leak position in a pipeline was developed using an estimation theory with the assumption that the measured flow rates and pressures are stochastic processes. A notch filter was designed using power spectral density analysis of measurements to reduce the effects of disturbances. The noise model dimension was determined by hypothesis testing and then recursive extended least square method was applied to estimate the leak position in real time. The proposed method was applied to an experimental system for evaluation of its performance.

  • Reconfigurable radio technology is needed to reconstruct frequency and modem functionality, which can be different within various regions. In addition, it makes it possible for a single mobile handset to support various standards of wireless communication, and thus plays a key role inmobile convergence. A MMIC VCO(Monolithic Microwave Integrated Circuit Voltage Controlled Oscillator) has been developed to produce high power and wide bandwidth that adapts the Clapp-Gouriet type oscillator for series feedback. We were fabricated based on the 0.15um pHEMT from TRW. The MMIC VCO was connected to an alumina substrate on the carrier for testing. This MMIC VCO module shows good performance when compared with existing VCOs. Futhermore, it has potential as a reconfigurable MMIC VCO for ubiquitous communications such as LMDS (Local Multipoint Distribution Service), VSAT, Point to Point Radio and SATCOM.

  • Though battery chemistry and technology had been developed for over a hundred years back, increase in demand for storage energy, in the computer accessories, cell phones, automobile industries for future battery car and uninterrupted power supply, has made, the development of existing and new battery, as an emerging areas of research. With innovation of high energetic inexpensive Nano structure materials, a more energy efficient battery with lower cost can be competitive with the present primary and rechargeable batteries. Materials electrochemistry of electrode materials, their synthesis and testing have been explained in the present paper to find new high efficient battery materials. The paper discusses fundamental of electrochemistry in finding true cell potential, overvoltages, current, specific energy of various combinations of anode-cathode system. It also describes of finding the performance of new electrode materials by various experiments viz. i. Cyclic Voltammetry ii. Chronoamperometry iii. Potentiodynamic Polarization iv. Electrochemical Impedance Spectroscopy (EIS). Research works of different battery materials scientists are discussed for the development of existing battery materials and new nano materials for high energetic electrodes. Problems and prospects of a few promising future batteries are explained.

  • Smoothing tests based on an L$_2$ error between a truncated courier series estimator and a true function have shown good powers for a wide class of alternatives, These tests have the same form of the Neyman smooth test whose performance depends on the selected order, a basis, the farm of estimators. We construct flexible data driven Neyman smooth tests by changing a basis, combining model selection criteria and different series estimators. A simulation study shows that the generalized Neyman smooth test with the best basis provides good power for a wider class of alternatives compared with other data driven Neyman smooth tests based on a fixed form of estimator, a fixed basis and a fixed criterion.

  • High-level synthesis generates a structural design that implements the given behavior and satisfies design constraints for area, performance, power consumption, packaging, testing and other criteria. Thus, high-level synthesis generates that register-transfer(RT) level structure from algorithm level description. High-level syntehsis consist of compiling, partitioning, scheduling This paper we study the partitioning process, and analysis the min-cut algorithm and simulated annealing algorithm.

  • We propose some properties for fuzzy binomial proportion test by agreement index. First we define fuzzy probability space and fuzzy type I error and type II error for the fuzzy probability of the two type errors. Also, we show that a fuzzy power function of performance for a fuzzy hypothesis test and drawing conclusions from the test.

  • In this paper, we generalizes Kim and Bickel(2003)'s statistic for bivariate normality to that of multinormality, applying Fattorini(1986)'s method. Fattorini(1986) generalized Shapiro-Wilk's statistic for univariate normality to multivariate cases. The proposed statistic could be considered as an approximate statistic to Fattorini(1986)'s. It can be used even for a big sample size. Power performance of the proposed test is assessed in a Monte Carlo study.

  • Recently, various plastics are used for improvement of reliability and thermal stability of electronic goods. But, it is difficult to choose suitable balance of grade resin to each other product property. Selection of high efficiency resin is becoming inescapable circumstance according to change of reflow temperature of product and development of product following to lead free. Using a inexpensive and reasonable resin, that sustain a uniform performance of product quality. It is make a robust product and increase a company's competitive power. Hereupon, I introduce example that use ESPI methods of thermal deformation analysis of product using in our company product. I try to refer to a structural weak point detection of real time measurement of electronic parts instead of mechanical and chemical measurement of specimen type.
