$MgF_2$/As-Ge-Se-S 다층 박막에서의 홀로그래픽 격자 형성 (Holographic grating formation of $MgF_2$/As-Ge-Se-S multi-layer)

  • We have carried out two-beam interference experiments to form holographic gratings on amorphous $MgF_2$/As-Ge-Se-S multi-layer. In this study, holographic gratings have been formed using He-Ne laser(632.8nm). under different polarization combinations. The diffraction efficiency was obtained by +1st order intensity. The maximum diffraction efficiency of As-Ge-Se-S single layer and $MgF_2$/As-Ge-Se-S multi-layer were 0.8% and 1.4%

  • In this study, we have made the large holographic surface relief gratings on amorphous chalcogenide $As_{40}$$Ge_{10}$$Se_{15}$$S_{35}$ films by two beam interference using a He-Ne laser(632.8nm) light. The film thickness was about 0.6$\mu\textrm{m}$, we could magnify beam size by using beam expander. We made use $90^{\circ}$ holder which was made of reflection mirror and sample. Formed the surface relief structures were investigated using optical microscope. The diffraction efficiency was obtained by measuring +lst order intensity. In addition we investigated grating formation and diffraction efficiency as a function of polarization states which is linear or circular polarization. The results indicate that the grating was formed by linear polarized beam is better clear than that by circular polarized beam.

순차적 순환배열을 이용한 고온초전도 배열 안테나 설계 및 특성해석 (Design and Characterization of HTS antenna array with sequential rotation array)

  • We report the performance of a four-element, 11.67 GHz, high-Tc superconducting (HTS) microstrip antenna array with corporate feed network and circular polarization for direct broadcasting satellite (DBS) system. Our array antennas were designed and built on a 0.5 mm thick MgO substrate. To compare the superconducting antennas with normal conducting counterpart, One antenna pattern was fabricated from gold thin film, and a second pattern was fabricated from $YBa_2Cu_3O_{7-x}$ (YBCO) superconducting thin film. To improve the axial ratio of circularly polarized arrays, sequential rotation technique were used. Efficiency, radiation pattern, return loss and bandwidth were measured for both antennas at room temperature and at cryogenic temperature. The array produced good circular polarization, and the gain of the array at 77 K, relative to a copper array at room temperature was approximately 1.54 dB. The measured return loss of our HTS antenna array was 35.79 dB at the resonant frequency of 11.67 GHz and The total effective bandwidth was about 3.4 %. The results showed that high-temperature superconductors, when used in microstrip arrays, improved the efficiency of the HTS antenna array for circularly polarization.

무편광 유전체 다층박막 회절격자의 효율 보정 (Diffraction-efficiency Correction of Polarization-independent Multilayer Dielectric Gratings)

  • 격자의 구조가 간단하고 격자의 대조비가 낮은 SBC 시스템 구성을 위한 무편광 유전체 다층박막 회절격자를 제작하였다. 제작된 박막의 굴절률과 두께 오차로 인하여, 제작된 회절격자의 회절 효율은 설계보다 낮은 값을 나타내었다. 오차를 발생시킨 원인을 분석하고, 제작된 회절격자 위에 추가의 코팅을 통하여 회절 효율 보정이 가능함을 시뮬레이션을 통하여 확인하였다. 시뮬레이션 결과를 확인하기 위하여 제작된 회절격자 위에 Ta2O5 추가층을 제작하고 회절격자를 측정한 결과 회절 효율 보상이 이루어졌으며, 최고 91.7%의 무편광 회절 효율을 얻었다.

금속 슬릿 배열로 구성된 편광 선택 가능한 블레이즈드 회절 격자 (Polarization Selective Blazed Grating Employing Metal-slit Arrays)

  • 본 논문에서는 금속 슬릿 배열로 구성된 편광 선택 가능한 블레이즈드 회절 격자를 제안한다. 마이크로 스케일의 블레이즈드 회절 격자를 디자인 하고 이 구조에 추가적으로 나노스케일의 금속 슬릿 구조를 적용하여 편광 선택기능을 부여하였다. 이 소자에 대하여 사례 연구로 예를 디자인하여 FDTD(Finite Difference Time Domain method)방법을 이용한 전산모사를 통해 성능을 검증해 보았다. 임의의 디자인 사례에 대해 대략 77.61% 의 회절효율과 8.99의 편광선택비가 얻어졌으며 편광선택비를 높이기 위한 또 다른 디자인에서는 64.22%의 회절효율과 81.09의 편광선택비가 얻어졌다.

  • We have carried out two-beam interference experiment to form holographic grating on amorphous $As_{40}Ge_{10}Se_{15}S_{35}$ single-laver, $MgF_{2}/As_{40}Ge_{10}Se_{15}S_{35}$ muliti-layer. In this study holographic grating formed using He-Ne laser(632.8nm) under different polarization state(intensity, phase polarization holography). The diffraction efficiency was obtained by first order intensity. The maximum diffraction efficiency of $As_{40}Ge_{10}Se_{15}S_{35}$ single-laver was 0.8% and The maximum diffraction efficiency of $MgF_{2}/As_{40}Ge_{10}Se_{15}S_{35}$ multi-layer(multi-layer I, multi-layer II) were 1.4% and 3.1%.

이중편파와 FSS를 적용한 정류안테나의 변환효율 분석에 관한 연구 (A Study on the Conversion Efficiency of Rectenna using Dual-Polarization and FSS Method)

  • 본 논문에서는 2뾰GHz 이중편파 정류안테나를 설계. 제작하고 제작된 정류안테나의 방향변화에 따른 마이크로파-DC 변환효율 특성과 FSS(Frequency Selective Surface)를 적용하여 정류안테나의 정류회로에서 발 생되는 고조파 성분(Harmonics)의 감소 특성을 분석하였다. 본 논문에서 설계. 제작된 각각의 이중편파 정류안테나의 마이크로파 DC 변환효율을 측정한 결과 다이폴 형태는 $360\Omega$의 부하일 때 69.1 %. 패치 형태는 $340\Omega$일 때 75.4 %의 최대 변환효율 특성을 나타내었다. 각 각 최적의 부하 저항을 가칠 때 $0~180^{\circ}$방향 변화에 따른 RF-DC 변환효율 변동특성은 다이폴 형태는 $\pm20%$, 패치 형태는 $\pm5%$를 나타내었다 FSS를 적용했을 때 통과대역에서의 손실은 1 dB이하, 차단대역에서의 감쇄는 20 dB 이상이 되었고‘ 정류안테나의 마이크로파-DC 변환효율은 $\pm2%$정도 변화되어 양호한 특성을 나타내었다.

  • In this paper, we investigated the diffraction efficiency of polarization holography using by amorphous $Ag/As_{40}Ge_{10}Se_{15}S_{35}$ multi-layer thin films by He-Ne laser. Multi-layer structures were formed by alternating a layer of meta1(Ag) and chalcogenide( $Ag/As_{40}Ge_{10}Se_{15}S_{35}$ ). The holographic grating in these thin flims has been formed using a linealy polarized He-Ne laser light (633nm). The diffraction efficiency was investigated the two sample of $Ag/As_{40}Ge_{10}Se_{15}S_{35}-7$ layers and $Ag/As_{40}Ge_{10}Se_{15}S_{35}-15$ layers. As the results, we found that the diffraction efficiency of $Ag/As_{40}Ge_{10}Se_{15}S_{35}-7$ layers and $Ag/As_{40}Ge_{10}Se_{15}S_{35}-15$ layers were 1.7% and 2.5% respectively.

As the results, we found that the diffraction efficiency of Ag/As$\sub$40/Ge$\sub$10/Se$\sub$15/S$\sub$35/-7 layers and Ag/As$\sub$40/Ge$\sub$10/Se$\sub$15/S$\sub$35/-15 layers were 1.7% and 2.5% respectively

Numerical study of direct contact membrane distillation process: Effects of operating parameters on TPC and thermal efficiency

  • Membrane distillation (MD) is one of the water treatment processes which involves the momentum, heat and mass transfer through channels and membrane. In this study, CFD modeling has been used to simulate the heat and mass transfer in the direct contact membrane distillation (DCMD). Also, the effect of operating parameters on the water flux is investigated. The result shows a good agreement with the experimental result. Results indicated that, while feed temperature is increasing in the feed side, water flux improves in the permeate side. Since higher velocity leads to the higher mixing and turbulence in the feed channel, water flux rises due to this increase in the feed velocity. Moreover, results revealed that temperature polarization coefficient is rising as flow rate (velocity) increases and it is decreasing while the feed temperature increases. Lastly, the thermal efficiency of direct contact membrane distillation is defined, and results confirm that thermal efficiency improves while feed temperature increases. Also, flow rate increment results in enhancement of thermal efficiency.
