Mather type dense plasma focus device was develooped for the feasibili쇼 study in its application to the x-ray lithography. To etermine the electrical characteristics, the temporal begavior of the discharge current and the voltage was measured by using the Rogowski coil and the high voltage probe respectively. The results are 9 $\mu\textrm{s}$ of the period, 18m$\Omega$ of resistance and 0.16$\mu$Η of inductance. The average current sheath velocity was measured by the light signal emitted at the moving plasma sheath. The light signal was detected through two fiber bundles. When the applied voltage was 13 kV and the initial jpressure of argon was 21.8 Pa, the best plasma focus was occurred. The x-ray emission characteristics from the plasma focus was determined by the x-ray pictures taken by pinhole camera. It is focus that the plasma was focused at 1.4 cm distant position above the center electrode and its diameter was about 1.0 m.

The purpose of this study is to develop sequential concept tests (ConcepTest) for teachers' conceptual change on the straight propagation of light through in-service training of science teachers by peer instruction. We revised the ConcepTests for attaining the goal concept by implementing similar training courses for teachers three times and analyzing the results using both Hake gain and verbal protocol. The final form helped most teachers to reach the goal concept. While teachers are solving a given concept problem test, they had shown not only significant cognitive conflict to select one among candidate answers, but also used the concept obtained through the previous problem. The sequential ConcepTests developed in this study can be useful for training elementary and secondary teachers or pre-service teacher education.

The quality of steel plate products is determined by the number of defects and the process problems are estimated by shapes of defects. Therefore pinholes defects of cold rolled steel have to be controlled. In order to improve productivity and quality of products, within each production process, the product is inspected by an adequate inspection system individually in the lines of steelworks. Among a number of inspection systems, we focus on the pinholes detection system. In this paper, we propose an embedded system using FPGA which can detect pinholes defects. The proposed system is smaller and more flexible than a traditional system based on expensive frame grabbers and PC. In order to detect consecutive defects, FPGAs acquire two dimensional image and process the image in real time by using correlation of lines. The proposed pinholes detection algorithm decreases arithmetic operations of image processing and also we designed the hardware to shorten the data path between logics due to decreasing propagation delay. The experimental results show that the proposed embedded system detects the reliable number of pinholes in real time.

Purpose: Conventional pinhole scintigraphy offers a high resolution and generally use for thyroid scan or bone scintigraphy. the aim of this study is to evaluate performance of each aperture according to the diameter size. Materials and Methods: In this study 2 mm, 4 mm, 6 mm, 8 mm diameter pinhole collimators were mounted on Siemens E.CAM systems. In order to evaluate performance evaluation of each aperture, we acquired projection image by using SPECT for evaluating FWHM, resolution test and static image for evaluating thyroid phantom test. Results: As a result of FWHM showed 2.2 mm FWHM, 3.2 mm FWHM, 5.4 mm FWHM, 7.5 mm FWHM per each aperture in the resolution test. SNR, uniformity, contrast were acquired result from thyroid phantom test comparing general image and delayed image. as a result of SNR showed 6.55, 8.47, 6.2, 5.23 in case of general image and 5.25, 5.01, 5.38, 5.82 in case of delayed image per each aperture. as a result of uniformity showed 0.152, 0.118, 0.161, 0.19 in case of general image and 0.19, 0.199, 0.185, 0.171 in case of delayed image per each aperture. as a result of contrast showed 1.31, 1.19, 1.15, 1.01 in case of general image and 1.09, 1.08, 1.04, 1 in case of delayed image per each aperture. Conclusion: Resolution and sensitivity were heavily influenced by aperture size. and also we found advantage of delayed image as a result of thyroid phantom test.
Phantoms are very necessary for quality assurance of radio nuclides imaging systems to maintain standards and to ensure reproducibility of test. General quality assurance and instrument quality control are essential in every hospital. The human tissue equivalent materials are aluminum, areryl, water and epoxy..etc. It is very important to select optimum equivalant materials for a phantoms in QC. Especially, paraffin is very similar with human soft tissue in X or Gamma-ray physical characteristics and easy to buy with economically. We made a paraffin thyroid phantom and compare with thyroid areryl phantom, also used commercially in practice. Two small size cold spots(3 and 6 mm diameter) and a hot spot(3 mm diameter) embeded in paraffin phantom. And imaged with $^{99m}TcO_4$ by camera for analysis about spatial resolution and noise at the hot and cold spots. We got some results as below : 1. No difference in counting rate and noise between both arcryl and paraffin thyroid phantoms. 2. The best spatial resolution can be seen 6 cm distance between pinhole collimator and thyroid phantoms(arcryl and paraffin). 3. More optimal spatial resolution could acquired in paraffin thyroid phantom. Paraffin is very similar with human soft tissue in atomic number, density and relative absorbtion function, and can be shaped easily what we wanted. So we can recommendation paraffin as quality assurance phantom because its usefulness, economical benefit and purchasability.
In this paper, the optical properties of a miniature telecentric camera are studied analytically and experimentally. By means of optical properties, the luminous intensity of retro-reflection of a miniature telecentric optical system is investigated. First, from a simulation the theoretical value of the coefficient of luminous intensity of retro-reflection of a miniature telecentric system is estimated. Second, a miniature telecentric camera device is designed, and the value of the coefficient of luminous intensity of retro-reflection of the actual device is measured through experiment. From simulation and experiment, we found that both the estimated and observed values of the coefficient of luminous intensity of retro-reflection range from 0.002 to $0.03m^2/sr$ (P384200CPH: $0.0042-0.018m^2/sr$, P285200CPH: $0.0045-0.0297m^2/sr$, P321450S: $0.0021-0.00963m^2/sr$) at 1.4 to 4.9 arcminute. The results prove the significance of the mechanisms used to design the miniature telecentric camera, and the experimental method. Accordingly, with these significant results, this study contributes to the development of theory and practice in optical engineering science.

To quantify the LII signals from soot particle of flames in diesel engine cylinder, a new method has been proposed for correcting LII signal attenuated by soot particles between the measuring point and the detector. It has been verified by an experiment on a laminar jet ethylene-air diffusion flame. Being proportional to the attenuation, the ratio of LII signal at two different detection wavelengths can be used to correct the measured LIIsignal and obtain the unattenuated LII signal, from which the soot volume fraction in the flame can be estimated. Both the 1064-nm and frequency-doubled 532-nm beams from the Nd : YAG laser are used. Single-shot, one-dimensional(1-D) line images are recorded on the intensified CCD camera, with the rectangular-profile laser beam using 1-mm-diameter pinhole. Two broadband optical interference filters having the center wavelengths of 647 nm and 400 nm respectively and a bandwidth of 10 nm are used. This two-wavelength correction has been applied to the ethylene-air coannular laminar diffusion flame, previously studied on soot formation by the laser extinction method in this laboratory. The results by the LII measurement technique and the conventional laser extinction method at the height of 40 nm above the jet exit agreed well with each other except around outside of the peaks of soot concentration, where the soot concentration was relatively high and resulting attenuation of the LII signal was large. The radial profile shape of soot concentration was not changed a lot, but the absolute value of the soot volume fraction around outside edge changed from 4ppm to 6.5 ppm at r=2.8mm after correction. This means that the attenuation of LII signal was approximately 40% at this point, which is higher than the average attenuation rate of this flame, 10~15%.
Total 114 patients were studied prospectively with radioiodine uptake (RAIU) and $^{99m}TcO_4^-$ thyroid scan to design a very simple, rapid and inexpensive method measuring the thyroid uptake on thyroid scan. After the RAIU was obtained at 24 hours after P.O. of $^{131}I$, Thyroid scan was performed at 20 minutes after LV. of $^{99m}TcO_4^-$ and the bilateral salivary glands were included in the scan field. Pinhole collimated and computer assisted gamma camera was used. Three regions of interest were set on each salivary gland and on the thyroid by automatic edge detection method. Mean counts per pixel were calculated for each ROI and the salivary-thyroid ratio (STR) was defined as; $$STR(%)=\frac{Mean\;counts\;per\;pixel\;of\;salivary\;glands\;(KC)}{Mean\;counts\;per\;pixel\;of\;thyroid\;gland\;(KC)}\times100$$ 114 cases consisted of 41 normal, 55 hyperthyroid and 18 hypothyroid patients and correlation between the STR and the RAID were evaluated in total and each group. The STR and the RAID showed reverse linear regression in 114 cases (r= -0.8, P=0) and closer correlation was shown in hyperthyroid group (r= -0_9, p=0). Mean STR in normal group was 47.6%. In predicting the RAID by STR, sensitivity and specificity were 88.3% and 64.9% in 114 cases and 95.3% and 83.3% in hyperthyroid group. It is recommended that the STR be used in place of the RAID giving same information at saving time, money and radiation exposure.
Purpose: Recombinant ScFv lym-1 was produced, using pET vector system for large scale production. Methods: ScFv lym-1 gene inserted pET-22b (+) vector, was expressed in E.coli BL-21 strain. ScFv lym-1 antibody extracted from periplasm, was purified with His-Taq column. To evaluated immunoreactivity with Raji cell, ScFv lym-1 was labeled with I-125 and I-125 ScFv lym-1 was purified with desalting column. Raji cell was injected into the C57BR/cdJ SCID mice. Gamma camera imaging were taken time point at 1, 8, 24, and 48 hr with 8 mm pinhole collimator. Results: An active scFv lym-1 could be produced in E. coli with soluble iron using PET vector system. Immuuoreaetivity and affinity constant of IgG lym-1 were 54% and $1.83{\times}10^9M^{-1}$, respectively, and those of scFv lym-1 were 53.7% and $1.46{\times}10^9M^{-1}$, respectively. Biodistribution of I-125 scFv lym-1 antibody showed faster clearance in blood, spleen, kidney and than I-125 IgG lym-1 antibody. Gamma camera image of I-125 scFv lym-1 antibody showed faster clearance and tumor targeting liver than I-125 IgG lym-1 antibody. Conclusions: In vitro properties of scFv lym-1 were similar to those of IgG lym-1. ScFv lym-1 showed faster blood clearance than IgG lym-1 There results suggest that scFv lym-1 antibody can be useful for tumor imaging agent.

Purpose Cadmium-zinc-telluride (CZT) camera with semiconductor detector is capable of dynamic myocardial perfusion SPECT for coronary flow reserve (CFR). Image acquisition with the heart positioned within 2 cm in the center of the quality field of view (QFOV) is recommended because the CZT detector based on focused multi-pinhole collimators and is stationary gantry without rotation. The aim of this study was to investigate the optimal method for measuring position of the heart within the center of the QFOV when performing dynamic myocardial perfusion SPECT with the Discovery NM 530c camera. Materials and Methods From June to September 2018, 45 patients were subject to dynamic myocardial perfusion SPECT with D530c. For accurate heart positioning, the patient's heart was scanned with a mobile ultrasound and marked at the top of the probe where the mitral valve (MV) was visible in the parasternal long-axis view (PLAX). And, the marked point on the patient's body matched with the reference point indicated CZT detector in dynamic stress. The heart was positioned to be in the center of the QFOV in rest. The coordinates of dynamic stress and rest were compared statistically. Results The coordinates of the dynamic stress using mobile ultrasound and those taken of the rest were recorded for comparative analysis with regard to the position of the couch and analyzed. There were no statistically significant differences in the coordinates of Table in & out, Table up & down, and Detector in & out (P > 0.05). The difference in distance between the 2 groups was measured at $0.25{\pm}1.00$, $0.24{\pm}0.96$ and $0.25{\pm}0.82cm$ respectively, with no difference greater than 2 cm in all categories. Conclusion The position of the heart taken using mobile ultrasound did not differ significantly from that of the center of the QFOV. Therefore, The use of mobile ultrasound in dynamic stress will help to select the correct position of the heart, which will be effective in clinical diagnosis by minimizing the image quality improvement and the patient's exposure to radiation.
