  • This paper proposes a scalable hybrid P2P(peer-to-peer) cloud architecture for MMOGs(massively multiplayer online games) which includes load management schemes for each region. A game world is divided into several game regions and each game region is serviced by at least one peer(player) in this MMOG cloud environment. The load must be managed regionally to support smooth interactions among them even in the presence of a high concentration of players in a specific region. In the proposed architecture where an efficient and effective provisioning of resources is realized, it is suitable for players to interact with cloud servers effectively and it avoids bottlenecks of the current client-server MMOG architecture. This architecture also relieves a lot of computational power and network traffic, the load on the servers in the cloud by exploiting the capacity of the players. Simulation results show that the proposed hybrid P2P cloud architecture can reduce the considerable bandwidth at the server compared to the client server architecture as the available resources grow with the number of players in crowding or hotspots.

  • Objective: This study examined the use of mental health helping systems among college students in Korea. A behavioral model of health service utilization was applied to examine factors influencing different types of helping systems. Methods: A total of 454 college students from four universities participated in the survey. A self-administered questionnaire measuring help-seeking behaviors including formal health and mental health services, informal helping system, peer group, and family support was used. Results: Respondents frequently turn to family members and peer group when in need, and age, sex, mental Health status, and attitude and knowledge on mental illness were significant factors affecting help-seeking behaviors of Korean students. While older students and those with more severe symptoms were more likely to seek help from formal resources, students with more severe symptoms were less likely to seek help from informal resources. Male students and those with negative attitude toward mental illness were less likely to ask peer groups for help. Conclusions: Study results indicate that informal resources and peer groups can be significant sources of social support for individuals in their late adolescence and young adulthood, however, their role as gateways to professional help is limited. Student counseling centers should take on a more active role in reaching out; implications for developing peer leaders as counselors and self-help groups are discussed.

  • This study aims to understand the influences that emotional and behavioral problems, relationships with parents, peer groups and teachers have on school refusal tendency and their routes targeting for 546 students of the 1st and 2nd grades in the boys' and girls' middle schools in G city and to conduct a path analysis by using Pearson's product-moment correlation and LISREL program. The results are the followings: First, significant correlation is shown in the all relationships, excluding the external problems out of emotional and behavioral problems, social support factor out of teachers-related variables, negative support factor out of parents-related variables. Second, emotional and behavioral problems have highly direct influence on school refusal tendency and relationship with parents without any meditator effect and has indirect influence on relationships with peer groups and teachers without having statistically significant and direct influence. Also, relationship with peer groups has statistically significant and negative effect on school refusal tendency without having statistically significant and direct influence, teachers relationship has statistically significant and direct effect on school refusal tendency and relationship with parents has indirect influence on school refusal tendency through relationship with peer groups and teachers relationship without having statistically significant and direct effect.

  • This study groups the life content of adolescents according to their time spent during the week and compares their internet use. The data were collected from 2210 middle and high school students, including their life content and hours, and various internet factors such as self-evaluated internet addiction, internet support, internet experience, chatting subjects and the type of internet service. Adolescents were divided into five groups: TV-oriented group, computer-oriented group, peer-oriented group, self-study group and extracurricular institution group. The purpose of internet use, internet experience, chatting subjects, negative aspects of internet and internet addiction were different by adolescents' group type. • The purpose of this study is to provide the useful reference to establish the system improvement plan that activates the counseling service quality for the disabled parents peer counselors. The qualitative case study method of Yin (2009) has been used to understand and reflect to the system for the experience of field counseling of the peer counselors for the disabled parents. 10 parents peer counselors for the disabled were proportionately sampled and interviewed about their experiences through a FGI and two individual interviews. The result of the study derived from total 87 abstract concepts and 17 categories and personal motivations for participating and changes from the experience are as follows: the effects of counseling are "mutual sympathy toward the same disability," "Identity transformation from nobody to somebody who gives hope," and "another social insurance and social safety network that parents disability make." The barrier facts for the parents peer counseling activation are: "problem of securing the position of the counseling site" and difficulty in finding the client due to lack of awareness and publicity. "The study suggests four programs to upgrade the parents peer counseling: (1) To secure the position of the counseling site, (2) To reestablish the status as a professional counselor. (3) The need of pokicy supplement and support from the government, (4) The expectancy of creating jobs through the conversion of full-time workers.

  • In the past several years there has been increasing the studies using P2P technology in the distributed system areas. In these P2P systems, the server to support the contents-information have less overloads than the composed system as the server to have resources generally. In this paper, we propose the system to support a social network P2P service based on the social network P2P system. The object of this study was to widen the use of this menu system to determine the price based on visual information by a software agent. Therefore, this system is suitable for micro, small and medium industries in the use of P2P servers and is more usable system interface for owners than previous study.
