A Study on Built-In Self Test for Boards with Multiple Scan Paths (다중 주사 경로 회로 기판을 위한 내장된 자체 테스트 기법의 연구)

  • The IEEE standard 1149.1, which was proposed to increase the observability and the controllability in I/O pins, makes it possible the board level testing. In the boundary-scan environments, many shift operations are required due to their serial nature. This increases the test application time and the test application costs. To reduce the test application time, the method based on the parallel opereational multiple scan paths was proposed, but this requires the additional I/O pins and the internal wires. Moreover, it is difficult to make the designs in conformity to the IEEE standard 1149.1 since the standard does not support the parallel operation of data shifts on the scan paths. In this paper, the multiple scan path access algorithm which controls two scan paths simultaneously with one test bus is proposed. Based on the new algorithm, the new algorithm, the new board level BIST architecture which has a relatively small area overhead is developed. The new BIST architecture can reduce the test application time since it can shift the test patterns and the test responses of two scan paths at a time. In addition, it can reduce the costs for the test pattern generation and the test response analysis.

Time-dependent Deformation Behaviour of Queenston Shale (퀸스톤 제일의 시간의존적 변형거동)

  • This paper describes the design and construction aspects of time-dependent deformation test apparatus for slut.oiling rocks and presents the test results obtained using these apparatus. These tests are modified semi-confined swell test, swell test under uniaxial tension and swell test under biaxial stress. These apparatus measure the time.dependent deformations in three orthogonal directions of the test specimen under simplified field stress conditions. The test results obtained from these test apparatus for the last several years show that these apparatus have performed satisfactorily. The test results show that the time-dependent deformation behaviour of the Queenston shale is cross-anisotropic with higher swelling in the vertical direction (normal to bedding plane) than in horizontal direction (parallel to bedding plane) under free swell condition. The applied stress in one direction suppresses the swelling deformation in that direction as well as that in the orthogonal directions.

  • The purpose of this study is to analyze error patterns third-year middle school students make on quadratic function graph problems and to examine about the possible correct them by providing supplementary tutoring. To exam the error patterns that occur during problem solving processes, to 82 students, We provided 25 quadratic function graph problems in the preliminary-test. The 5 types of errors was conceptual errors, false intuition errors, incorrect use of conditions in problems, technical errors, and errors from slips or carelessness. Statistical analysis of the preliminary-test and post-test shows that achievement level was higher in the post-test, after supplementary tutoring, and the t-test proves this to be meaningful data. According to the per subject analyses, the achievement level in the interest of symmetry, parallel translation, and general graph, respectively, were all higher in the post-test than the preliminary-test and this is meaningful data as well. However, no meaningful relation could be found between the preliminary-test and the post-test on other subjects such as graph remodeling and relations positions of the parabola. For the correction of errors, try the appropriate feedback and various teaching and learning methods.

Testing of Load Capacity of a Foil Thrust Bearing

  • In this study, the performance of foil thrust bearings was investigated by performing bearing take-off and load capacity tests, using an in-house designed and manufactured vertical bearing test rig. The mean take-off rotational speed and maximum load capacity of the bearing specimen were ~18,000 rpm and ~80 kPa, respectively. The vertical bearing test rig was observed to yield higher coefficients of friction and frictional torques than a horizontal bearing test rig under identical test conditions. This was a result of its structural characteristics, in that the bearing specimen is placed atop the thrust runner, which keeps it from being separated from the runner after the bearing take-off. In addition, bearing take-off was observed at a higher runner rotational speed as this structure keeps air from flowing between the top foil and runner surfaces, which requires a higher runner speed. The parallel alignment between the bearing specimen and runner surfaces can be maintained within a certain range more easily in a vertical test rig than in a horizontal test rig. Because of these advantages, Korean Industrial Standard, KS B 2060, recommends a vertical bearing test rig as the standard test device for foil thrust bearings.

  • High-capacity, high-definition image applications need to process considerable amounts of data at high speed. Accordingly, users of these applications demand a high-speed parallel execution system. To increase the speed of a parallel execution system, Park (2004) proposed a technique, called MAMS (Multi-Access Memory System), to access data in several execution units without the conflict of parallel processing memories. Since then, many studies on MAMS have been conducted, furthering the technique to MAMS-PP16 and MAMS-PP64, among others. As a memory architecture for parallel processing, MAMS must be constructed in one chip; therefore, a method to achieve the identical functionality as the existing MAMS while minimizing the architecture needs to be studied. This study proposes a method of miniaturizing the MAMS architecture in which the architectures of the ACR (Address Calculation and Routing) circuit and MMS (Memory Module Selection) circuit, which deliver data in memories to parallel execution units (PEs), do not use the MMS circuit, but are constructed as one shift and conditional statements whose number is the same as that of memory modules inside the ACR circuit. To verify the performance of the realized architecture, the study conducted the processing time of the proposed MAMS-PP64 through an image correlation test, the results of which demonstrated that the ratio of the image correlation from the proposed architecture was improved by 1.05 on average.

From the research which sees consequently also the skill of variety and technical expert of equipment of SPT, strong point of the SPT automation logger will be able to complement the problem point of quality etc. of site condition under comparison analyzing should have been boiled about SPT of existing and tentative methods and N-value.

Noninvasive prenatal test for fetal chromosomal aneuploidies by massively parallel sequencing of cell-free fetal DNA in maternal plasma: The first clinical experience in Korea

  • Purpose: Noninvasive prenatal test (NIPT) by massively parallel sequencing (MPS) of cell-free fetal DNA in maternal plasma marks a significant advancement in prenatal screening, minimizing the need for invasive testing of fetal chromosomal aneuploidies. Here, we report the initial clinical performance of NIPT in Korean pregnant women. Materials and Methods: MPS-based NIPT was performed on 910 cases; 5 mL blood samples were collected and sequenced in the Shenzhen BGI Genomic Laboratory to identify aneuploidies. The risk of fetal aneuploidy was determined by L-score and t-score, and classified as high or low. The NIPT results were validated by karyotyping for the high-risk cases and neonatal follow-up for low-risk cases. Results: NIPT was mainly requested for two clinical indications: abnormal biochemical serum-screening result (54.3%) and advanced maternal age (31.4%). Among 494 cases with abnormal biochemical serum-screening results, NIPT detected only 9 (1.8%) high-risk cases. Sixteen cases (1.8%) of 910 had a high risk for aneuploidy: 8 for trisomy 21, 2 for trisomy 18, 1 for trisomy 13, and 5 for sex chromosome abnormalities. Amniocentesis was performed for 7 of these cases (43.8%). In the karyotyping and neonatal data, no false positive or negative results were observed in our study. Conclusion: MPS-based NIPT detects fetal chromosomal aneuploidies with high accuracy. Introduction of NIPT as into clinical settings could prevent about 98% of unnecessary invasive diagnostic procedures.

Development of a 6-axis robot′s finger force/moment sensor for stable grasping of an unknown object

  • This paper describes the development of a 6-axis robot's finger force/moment sensor, which measures forces $F_x$(x-direction force), $F_y$and $F_z$, and moments $M_x$ (x-direction moment), $M_y$ and $M_z$ simultaneously, for stable grasping of an unknown object. In order to safely grasp an unknown object using the robot's gripper, the force in the gripping direction and the force in the gravity direction should be measured, and the force control should be performed using the measured forces. Also, the moments $M_x$, $M_y$ and $M_z$ to accurately perceive the position of the object in the grippers should be detected. Thus, the robot's gripper should be composed of 6-axis robot's finger force/moment sensor that can measure forces $F_x$, $F_y$ and $F_z$, and moments $M_x$ $M_y$ and $M_z$ simultaneously. In this paper, the 6-axis robot's finger force/moment sensor for measuring forces $F_x$, $F_y$ and $F_z$, and moments $M_x$ $M_y$ and $M_z$ simultaneously was newly modeled using several parallel-plate beams, designed, and fabricated. The characteristic test of the fabricated sensor was performed, and the result shows that interference errors of the developed sensor are less than 3%. Also, Robot's gripper with the 6-axis robot's finger force/moment sensor for the characteristic test of force control was manufactured, and the characteristic test for grasping an unknown object using the sensors was performed using it. The fabricated gripper could grasp an unknown object stably. Thus, the developed 6-axis robot's finger force/moment sensor can be used for robot's gripper.

  • A threat of the EMP(Electromagnetic Pulse) is recently increasing, so the development of electromagnetic security technology against the EMP is needed. However, the state of the domestic electromagnetic security technology against the EMP is lower level than the foreign. In this paper, the bounded-wave EMP simulator antenna for the development of electromagnetic security technology against a threat of the EMP is designed. The structure of the designed antenna is from a sort of the basic form of the bounded-wave EMP simulator such as a parallel-plate simulator for testing EMP immunity performance within the EUT(Equipment Under Test). The design processes of the designed simulator is including wave launcher, transmission line and termination taper. In the working volume of the designed antenna, the test object within 30 cm is forming predominant TEM field, so it is confirmed that the designed EMP simulator antenna can be used as the EMP simulator.

  • This paper presents a technique for real time multiprocessor parallel processing to develop an avionic system computer(ASC) which integrates the avionics control, navigation and fire control, cursive and raster graphic symbol generation into one line replaceable unit. The proposed method has optimal performance by adopting a logically asymmetric structure between four 32bit RISC processors based on the master-slave multiprocessing, a tightly coupled interaction level with the time shared common bus and global memory, and an efficient bus arbitration algorithm. The ASC has been verified through a series of flight tests. The relevant tests also have been rigorously conducted on the prototype ASC such as electrical test, environmental test, and electromagnetic interference test.
