  • Let ∑(p)(p ∈ N) be the class of functions f(z) = z/sup -p/ + α/sub 1-p/ z/sup 1-p/ + α/sub 2-p/z/sup 2-p/ + ... analytic in 0 < |z| < 1 and let M(p, λ, μ)(0 < λ≤ 2 and 2λ(λ - 1) ≤ μ ≤ λ²) denote the class of functions f(z) ∈ ∑(p) which satisfy (equation omitted). The object of the present paper is to derive some properties of functions in the class M(p, λ, μ).

  • The paper presents the electrical performance measurements of a prototype nuclear battery and two types of betavoltaic cells. The electrical performance was assessed by measuring current-voltage properties (I-V) and determining the short-circuit current and the open-circuit voltage. With 63Ni as an irradiation source, the open-circuit voltage and the short-circuit current were determined as 1 V and 64 nA, respectively. The prototype consisted of 10 betavoltaic cells that were prepared using radioactive 63Ni. Electroplating of the radioactive 63Ni on an ohmic contact (Ti-Ni) was carried out at a current density of 20 mA/㎠. Two types of betavoltaic cells were studied: with an external 63Ni source and a 63Ni-covered source. Under irradiation of the 63Ni source with an activity of 10 mCi, the open-circuit voltage Voc of the fabricated cells reached 151 mV and 109 mV; the short-circuit current density Jsc was measured to be 72.9 nA/cm2 and 64.6 nA/㎠, respectively. The betavoltaic cells had the fill factor of 55% and 50%, respectively.

  • This study was carried out to establish an effective system for embryo transfer techniques by analyzing several factors affecting in-vivo embryo transfer in Korean cattle. Embryos produced in-vivo were transferred into a total of 301 recipients. The results obtained in studies on the factors affecting pregnancy rate after embryo transfer by condition of embryos were as follow ; 1. The pregnancy rate of 301 recipients was 45.2% and higher with fresh embryos than with frozen embryos(63.5% : 21.4%, P<0.01). Embryos superovurated by FSH-P had slightly greater than by SUPER-OV in pragnancy rate, athough these were no difference between two treatments. 2. The pregnancy rates of transferred morulae and blastocysts showed no difference between fresh and frozen embryos(63.5% : 63~6% ; 20.0% : 25.8%). However, the pregnancy rates by quality of flesh and frozen embryos were significantly different(P<0~05). The pregnancy rates were outstandingly high in the grade A, B of fresh embryos(59.0~66.4%), and in the grade A of frozen embryos(43.6%). 3. The number of transferred embryos showed no difference in pregnancy rate, but when frozen embryos transferred, the pregnancy rate was slightly higher with two embryos than that with one embryo.

  • In this study, we surveyed 63 workers from October 10, 2016 to October 28, 2016, and analyzed the effect of education and training on job stress. Using IBM SPSS Statistics 20, factor analysis 32 items were used to derive 4 factors and the significance was verified as p = .000. First, The effects of workplace's OJT education on job training and job stress were found to have a significant effect on job stress relief. Second, the correlation between job stress and job stress showed that OJT education (p <.01, ${\beta}=.526$) and Off-JT education (p <.01, ${\beta}=.508$) were highly correlated with work stress. Third, the difference between work stresses according to career did not have statistically significant effect. More than 10 years of experience, less than 3 to 6 years were more sensitive to work stress. In this study, it is important to verify the effect of education and training on job stress.

  • PURPOSE: This study aimed to analyze the factors influencing the improvement of global synkinesis (GS) and gait in stroke patients by the weight shift exercise. METHODS: Twenty stroke patients were randomly assigned to experimental group I (n = 10) and experimental group II (n = 10). In experimental group I, weight shift with upper extremity exercises in a standing position were mediated and in experimental group II, upper extremity exercises in a standing position were mediated. These interventions were conducted in both groups for three sessions per week, 30 minutes per session over four weeks. Before the interventions, leg GS was measured using surface electromyography and the 10m walk test (10MWT). The same parameters were measured four weeks later. RESULTS: The GS and 10MWT of the experimental group I showed that there was a statistically significant difference between dorsiflexion (p < .05) and plantarflexion (p < .01) and 10MWT (p < .01). In experimental group II, there was a statistically significant difference only in 10MWT (p < .01). The comparison between the changes in both groups showed that in the case of GS, there was a statistically significant difference in the dorsiflexion (p < .01) and plantarflexion (p < .05), and in the 10MWT too (p < .05). CONCLUSION: GS of the lower extremities was decreased by improving posture control and enlarging soft tissues due to the symmetrical weight shift in experimental group I, which turned out to be effective in improving the gait speed.

  • Thermostable protease is very effective to improve the industrial processes in many fields. Two thermostable extracellular proteases from the culture supernatant of the thermophilic fungus Chaetomium thermophilum were purified to homogeneity by tractional ammonium sulfate precipitation, ion-exchange chromatography on DEAE-Sepharose, and Phenyl-Sepharose hydrophobic interaction chromatography. By SDS-PAGE, the molecular mass of the two purified enzymes was estimated to be 33 kDa and 63 kDa, respectively. The two proteases were found to be inhibited by PMSF, but not by iodoacetamide and EDTA. The 33 kDa protease (PRO33) exhibited maximal activity at pH 10.0 and the 63kDa protease (PRO63) at pH5.0. The optimum temperature for the two proteases was $65^{\circ}C$. The PRO33 had a $K_m$ value of 6.6mM and a $V_{max}$ value of $10.31{\mu}mol/l/min$, and PRO63 l7.6mM and $9.08{\mu}mol/l/min$, with casein as substrate. They were thermostable at $60^{\circ}C$. The protease activity of PRO33 and PRO63 remained at 67.2% and 17.31%, respectively, after incubation at $70^{\circ}C$ for 1h. The thermal stability of the two enzymes was significantly enhanced by $Ca^{2+}$. The residual activity of PRO33 and PRO63 at $70^{\circ}C$ after 60min was approximately 88.59% and 39.2%, respectively, when kept in the buffer containing $Ca^{2+}$. These properties make them applicable for many biotechnological purposes.
