Numerical Investigation on Overlap Effects of Tandem Rotors in Forward Flight

  • A study on the interference effects of overlapping tandem rotors in forward flight is conducted using the time-marching free-wake panel method which adopts field velocity boundary integral formulation. The conventional boundary integral formulation is numerically unstable for the cases when the blade and the wake are in close proximity to each other. In order to avoid this problem, this study applies the field velocity method and modifies the boundary integration formulation. The improved method is used for the parametric study on the advance ratio and the distance between the rotors. These are the parameters that most affect the interference of the tandem rotor in forward flight. Comparison of the aerodynamic performance shows that the horizontal distance between the rotors negligibly influences the overlap-induced power factor for high advance ratio. In addition, it shows that the overlap-induced power factor is inversely proportional to the squared vertical distance between the rotors, and that the overlap-induced power factor increases to a certain extent and decrease back as the advance ratio increases.

  • In this study, a new method using a capacitive sensor and an adaptive filter was proposed to deal with artifacts contaminating an oscillation signal in oscilometric blood pressure measurement. The proposed method makes use of a variation of the capacitance between an electrode fixed to a cuff and an external object to detect artifacts caused by the external object bumping into the cuff. The proposed method utilizes the adaptive filter based on linear prediction to remove the detected artifacts. The conventional method using linear interpolation and the proposed method using the adaptive filter were applied to three types of the artifact-contaminated oscillation signals(no overlap, non-consecutive overlap, and consecutive overlap between artifacts and oscillations) to compare them in terms of the artifact reduction performance. The proposed method was more robust than the conventional method in the case of consecutive overlap between artifacts and oscillations. The proposed method could be useful for measuring blood pressure in such a noisy environment that the subject is being transported.

  • Attenuated PSM lithography 공정에서 overlay margin 확보 및 side-lobe 제거를 위해 기존의 Cr shield 방식의 단점인 복잡한 mask 제작공정과 구조를 단순화하기 위한 방법으로 scattering bar 방식을 제안하였다. Scattering bar는 Cr 보조패턴처럼 완전히 빛을 차단하는 것이 아니라 약간의 빛을 투과시켜 보강된 intensity를 상쇄하므로 side-lobe를 억제하는 방법으로 metal pattern을 생성할 때 scattering bar도 동시에 만들어 mask제작에 필요한 공정횟수를 줄이고 mask구조 역시 단순하게 한다 그리고 동시에 DOF(depth of focus)를 향상시킨다. Background clear pattern의 경우에 발생하는 side-lobe도 scattering bar를 이용하여 효율적으로 제거되었다.

  • 국소 홀로그램 기록방법에서 저장밀도를 높이기 위해서는 각 홀로그램은 이웃한 홀로그램들과 가급적 가깝게 기록되어야 한다. 이 경우에 두 인접한 홀로그램의 기준빔들은 공간적으로 겹칠 수 있다. 본 논문에서는 공간다중화를 위한 기준빔의 이동거리에 대해서 겹침을 최소화하는 최적의 기준빔 폭이 존재함을 시물레이션 및 실험적으로 보인다 따라서, 저장밀도를 높임에 따르는 국소 홀로그램의 장점의 희생을 최소화할 수 있다.

  • 본 연구에서는 측정된 S-파라미터를 사용하여 드레인-소스 전압 Vds에 무관한 게이트-소스 overlap 캐패시턴스를 추출하고, 이를 바탕으로 deep-submicron MOSFET의 Vds 종속 게이트-벌크 캐패시턴스 곡선을 추출하는 RF 방법이 새롭게 개발 되었다. 추출된 캐패시턴스 값들을 사용한 등가회로 모델과 측정된 데이터가 잘 일치하는 것을 관찰함으로써 추출방법의 정확도가 검증되었다. 추출된 데이터로부터 overlap과 depletion 길이의 Vds 종속 곡선이 얻어졌으며, 이를 통해 drain 영역의 채널 도핑 분포를 실험적으로 측정하였다.

건설현장 3차원 점군 데이터 정합 정확성 향상을 위한 중첩비율 분석 (Analysis of overlap ratio for registration accuracy improvement of 3D point cloud data at construction sites)

  • Comparing to general scanning data, the 3D digital map for large construction sites and complex buildings consists of millions of points. The large construction site needs to be scanned multiple times by drone photogrammetry or terrestrial laser scanner (TLS) survey. The scanned point cloud data are required to be registrated with high resolution and high point density. Unlike the registration of 2D data, the matrix of translation and rotation are used for registration of 3D point cloud data. Archiving high accuracy with 3D point cloud data is not easy due to 3D Cartesian coordinate system. Therefore, in this study, iterative closest point (ICP) registration method for improve accuracy of 3D digital map was employed by different overlap ratio on 3D digital maps. This study conducted the accuracy test using different overlap ratios of two digital maps from 10% to 100%. The results of the accuracy test presented the optimal overlap ratios for an ICP registration method on digital maps.

  • The separation mechanism is installed to separate a note one by one from the stacked notes and the overlap type, one of separation mechanism, has been used a lot in financial equipments like ATM. This paper has compared and estimated analysis results using finite element method with experimental results over various parameters such as conditions of note, overlap value, roller shapes, which affect the friction force (resistance) exerting on notes between rollers. Consequently, the effect of various parameters on the performance of overlap type separation mechanism can be known and optimal shape and overlap value can be obtained.

  • Overlap Maximization is a sampling technique to reduce survey costs and costs associated with the survey. It was first studied by Keyfitz(1951). Ernst(1998) presented a remarkable procedure for maximizing the overlap when the sampling units can be selected for two identical stratified designs simultaneously, But the approach involves mimicking the behaviour of nonlinear function by linear function and so it is less direct, even though the stratification problem for the overlap corresponds directly to the linear programming problem. furthermore, it uses the controlled selection algorithm that repeatedly needs zero-restricted controlled roundings, which are solutions of capacitated transportation problems. In this paper we suggest a comparatively simple procedure to use linear programming in order to maximize the overlap. We show how this procedure can be implemented practically.

  • Master formulas for overlap integrals and the dipole moments involving |4p > atomic orbitals have been derived by the expansion method for spherical harmonics. The radial integrals for the hyperfine interaction have also been derived for |4p > atomic orbitals. The calculated values of the overlap integrals and dipole moment matrix elements by the expansion method for spherical harmonics for a hypothetical NO molecule are exactly in agreement with those of Mulliken's method. The radial integrals for the hyperfine interaction may be used to calculate the chemical shift for |4p > atomic orbitals.

시간지원 데이터의 효율적인 관리를 위한 이동 방법 (Migration Method for Efficient Management of Temporal Data)

  • 본 논문에서는 시간지원 데이터를 과거 세그먼트, 현재 세그먼트, 그리고 미래 세그먼트로 분리한 저장 구조를 기반으로 하는 네 가지 데이터 이동 방법을 제안하였다. 제안한 데이터 이동 방법은 시간단위에 의한 이동 방법, LST-GET(Least valid Start Time-Greatest valid End Time)에 의한 이동 방법, AST-AET(Average valid Start Time-Average valid End Time)에 의한 이동 방법, 그리고 Min-Overlap에 의한 이동 방법이 있다. 각각의 이동 방법에서는 세그먼트의 경계값, 각 세그먼트에 저장되는 개체 버전 등을 정의하였다. 제안한 이동 방법에 대해서 사용자 질의에 대한 평균 응답 시간을 측정하였다. 실험결과, LLT(Long Lived Tuples)가 없는 경우에는 LST-GET에 의한 이동 방법, 그리고 AST-AET에 의한 이동 방법이 시간단위에 의한 이동 방법보다 성능이 우수하였다. LLT가 있는 경우에는 LST-GET에 의한 이동 방법의 성능이 저하되었다. AST-AET에 의한 이동 방법은 시간단위에 의한 이동 방법과 LST-GET에 의한 이동 방법보다 질의에 대한 성능이 우수하였다. Min-Overlap에 의한 이동 방법은 질의에 대한 평균 응답 시간에서 AST-AET에 의한 이동 방법과 비슷한 결과를 보였고, 공간 이용율 측면에서는 AST-AET에 의한 이동 방법보다 효율적이었다.
