  • In this paper we adhere to the definition of infra-topological space as it was introduced by Al-Odhari. Namely, we speak about families of subsets which contain ∅ and the whole universe X, being at the same time closed under finite intersections (but not necessarily under arbitrary or even finite unions). This slight modification allows us to distinguish between new classes of subsets (infra-open, ps-infra-open and i-genuine). Analogous notions are discussed in the language of closures. The class of minimal infra-open sets is studied too, as well as the idea of generalized infra-spaces. Finally, we obtain characterization of infra-spaces in terms of modal logic, using some of the notions introduced above.

  • This study aims to introduce a model for enhancing community well-being through the utilization of public open data. To objectively assess abstract notions of residential satisfaction, text data from complaints is analyzed. By leveraging accessible public data, costs related to data collection are minimized. Initially, relevant text data containing civic complaints is collected and refined by removing extraneous information. This processed data is then combined with meaningful datasets and subjected to topic modeling, a text mining technique. The insights derived are visualized using Geographic Information System (GIS) and Application Programming Interface (API) data. The efficacy of this analytical model was demonstrated in the Godeok/Gangil area. The proposed methodology allows for comprehensive analysis across time, space, and categories. This flexible approach involves incorporating specific public open data as needed, all within the overarching framework.

  • This paper presents an optimization process using Harmony Search Algorithm for minimum weight of steel space frames under earthquake effects according to Turkish Earthquake Code (2007) specifications. The optimum designs are carried out by selecting suitable sections from a specified list including W profiles taken from American Institute of Steel Construction (AISC). The stress constraints obeying AISC-Load and Resistance Factor Design (LRFD) specifications, lateral displacement constraints and geometric constraints are considered in the optimum designs. A computer program is coded in MATLAB for the purpose to incorporate with SAP2000 OAPI (Open Application Programming Interface) to perform structural analysis of the frames under earthquake loads. Three different steel space frames are carried out for four different seismic earthquake zones defined in Turkish Earthquake Code (2007). Results obtained from the examples show the applicability and robustness of the method.

  • For two positive integers $m$ and $n$, let $\mathcal{P}_n$ be the open convex cone in $\mathbb{R}^{n(n+1)/2}$ consisting of positive definite $n{\times}n$ real symmetric matrices and let $\mathbb{R}^{(m,n)}$ be the set of all $m{\times}n$ real matrices. In this paper, we investigate differential operators on the non-reductive homogeneous space $\mathcal{P}_n{\times}\mathbb{R}^{(m,n)}$ that are invariant under the natural action of the semidirect product group $GL(n,\mathbb{R}){\times}\mathbb{R}^{(m,n)}$ on the Minkowski-Euclid space $\mathcal{P}_n{\times}\mathbb{R}^{(m,n)}$. These invariant differential operators play an important role in the theory of automorphic forms on $GL(n,\mathbb{R}){\times}\mathbb{R}^{(m,n)}$ generalizing that of automorphic forms on $GL(n,\mathbb{R})$.

  • This paper presents a new methodology for specification and control of the motion of an articulated rigid body for the purposes of animation by coordinate transformations. The approach is to formulate the problem as a coordinate transformation from the joint space of the body to a user-defined animation space which is chosen for convenience in constraining the motion. Constraints are applied to the resulting coordinate transformation equations. It is sufficiently general so that it can be applied to all common types of control problems, including closed loop as well as open loop mechanisms. We also provided a new approach to simulate a closed loop mechanism, which is using animation space transformation technique. The method is formulated in detail and is demonstrated by animating the motion of an inchworm.

  • The aim this master thesis is to find out if is possible to Integrate haptic hardware support in the source 3D game engine Crystal Space. Integrating haptic support would make it possible to get a haptic representation of 3D geometry in Crystal Space and therefore take advantage of all the benefits a 3D game engine provides, when building haptic applications, An implementation of the support should be as low-cost as Possible by taking advantage of available source haptic API alternatives. The thesis report presents an evaluation of available haptic APIs and comes up with a design and an implementation. The solution has been implemented as a Crystal Space plugin by using modified parts of the e-Touch open module API. The plugin makes it possible to utilize the Phantom haptic device to touch and feel the 3D environments in a Crystal Space application. Two demo applications have also been constructed to show the capabilities of the plugin.

  • Let H(𝔻) be the space of all holomorphic functions on the open unit disc 𝔻 in the complex plane ℂ. In this paper, we investigate the boundedness and compactness of the generalized integration operator $$I^{(n)}_{g,{\varphi}}(f)(z)=\normalsize\displaystyle\smashmargin{2}{\int\nolimits_0}^z\;f^{(n)}({\varphi}({\xi}))g({\xi})\;d{\xi},\;z{\in}{\mathbb{D}},$$ between Bloch-type and weighted Dirichlet-type spaces, where 𝜑 is a holomorphic self-map of 𝔻, n ∈ ℕ and g ∈ H(𝔻).

  • Deconstruction Architecture takes various approaching ways in the plural situation of modem times while it has a common thinking way in the whole area of society, art field, etc. This plural phenomenon is expressed by collage used as a painting technique. We examine the relations of collage and Deconstruction Architecture to see what kind of space formation factor collage is applied in the Deconstruction Architecture, which can be applied to the architecture composing vocabulary, and classify the aspects that collage technique is expressed with space formation factor of Deconstruction Architecture by category. We can see that superimpositon, interpenetration, juxtaposition, scaling, open structure, undecidability, assemblage, etc. are expressed as various factors in the space of Deconstruction.

  • In many cases the systems are so complex that it is not possible to obtain reasonable models using physical insight. Also a model based on physical insight contains a number of unknown parameters even if the structure is derived from physical laws. These problems can be solved by system identification. In this paper, Arago's disk system which has both stable and unstable regions is selected as an example for identification and a state-space model is identified using tailor-made model structure of this system. In stable region, a state-space model of Arago's disk system is identified through open loop experiment and a state-space model of unstable region is identified through closed loop experiment after using fuzzy controller to stabilize unstable system.

  • This research is about Apartment Remodeling Upgrading Programme by Singapore Housing Development Board(HDB). For this study, we visited HDB and made field survey of the projects. There are basically three types of upgrading, namely, Precinct Upgrading, Apartment Block Upgrading and Flat Upgrading. Precint Upgrading refers the upgrading of services and facilities of the precinct. It involves the extention of open space, car-park, commercial space and additional covered linkways. These afford the residents greater convenience and comfort and generally enhance the environment of the community. Apartment Upgrading refers the upgrading of the block facade, improvements to the elevator, lift lobbies, letter boxes, trash chute and rain chute. The upgrading improves the quality of life of the residents. Flat Upgrading Involves the addition of space which may be in the form of a new Utility-room, replacement of old services, piping and equipment within an apartment unit. These provide the residents with a bigger and more comfortable living space.
