Methods: The data from 192 of 208 nurses working in southern part of Korea were collected for analysis during in-service education in May 19~20, 2011. Descriptive statistics, chi-square tests, ANOVA, and logistic regression analysis were performed using SPSS 19.0 program. Results: Among the general characteristic factors, young, married, university graduation, lower satisfaction with income and longer work experience as a nurse were associated with higher odds of turnover intention. Organizational commitment was associated with low turnover intention. Way of coping was not statistically significantly associated with turnover intension. Conclusion: Stress from the organizational system was found to be the most important variable that explains the turnover intention in this study. Use of sensible communication methods and introduction of effective conflict resolution system is suggested to reduce turnover intention. Further research is recommended to identify the job demands and organizational systems of visiting nurses.

Methods: The subjects were 123 ED nurses working at 10 general hospitals in Busan, Korea. The data were collected from August 15th to September 22nd, 2013. The collected data were analyzed using the SPSS program through descriptive statistics, t-test, ANOVA, Pearson's correlation coefficients and stepwise multiple regression. Results: There were positive correlations between traumatic events experience and post-traumatic stress (r=.416, p<.001), between depression and traumatic events experience (r=.212, p=.001), between traumatic events experience and turnover intention (r=.289, p=.001), between post-traumatic stress and depression (r=.251, p=.005), and also between depression and turnover intention (r=.315, p<.001). Factors influencing turnover intention were depression and traumatic events experience with $R^2$ value 16.7%. Conclusion: Considering these results, it seems that the important factors determining the turnover intention of nurses in ED are depression and traumatic events experienced by nurses. Therefore, an active plan is needed to develop strategies for reducing nurses' depression and traumatic events experienced by nurses.

  • Background: Job performance is known as an essential reflection of nursing quality. Colleague solidarity, positive emotion, and turnover intention play effective roles in a clinical working environment, but their impacts on job performance are unclear. Investigating the association between nurses' colleague solidarity and job performance may be valuable, both directly and through the mediating roles of positive emotion and turnover intention. Methods: In this cross-sectional study, a total of 324 Chinese nurses were recruited by convenience sampling method from July 2016 to January 2017. Descriptive analysis, Spearman's correlation analysis, and the structural equation model were applied for analysis by SPSS 26.0 and AMOS 24.0. Results: A total of 49.69% of participants were under 30 years old, and 90.12% of participants were female. Colleague solidarity and positive emotion were positively connected with job performance. The results indicated the mediating effects of positive emotion and turnover intention in this relationship, respectively, as well as the chain mediating effect of positive emotion and turnover intention. Conclusions: In conclusion, dynamic and multiple supportive strategies are needed for nurse managers to ameliorate nursing job performance by improving colleague solidarity and positive emotion and decreasing turnover intention based on the job demand-resource model.

Methods: The participants for this study were 307 nurses currently working in two general hospitals in G city in Korea. Data were collected using structured questionnaires and analyzed for descriptive statistics, t-test, ANOVA, Mann-Whitney U Test, Kruskal Wallis Test, Pearson correlation coefficients and hierarchical multiple regression with SPSS/WIN 21.0 program. Results: It turned out that work-family conflict plays an important role in the relationship among emotional labor, occupational stress, turnover intention of nurses. Conclusion: Therefore, to reduce nurses' turnover intention, it is necessary to have an intervention focusing on work-family conflict. Also, it is necessary for both the government and hospitals to establish a supportive system and a program to relieve nurses from their work-family conflict.
