초·중·고등학생들이 지각하는 간호사 이미지에 관한 연구 (Nurse's Image Perceived by Elementary, Middle and High School Students)

  • Purpose: This study aimed to investigate the nurse's image and role projected in media and perceived by elementary, middle and high school students. Methods: Data were collected from 544 students in J city, Korea during December 2010 to February 2011. The nurse's image was measured by the instrument developed by Yang (1998). Nursing experiences and nurse's role in media was measured by self-administered questionnaires with 8 questions. Statistical analysis was made with t-test and ANOVA using SPSS win 18.0. Result: The score on personal image was the highest, while the score on social image was the lowest. Elementary school students reported a positive image compared with middle and high school students. Male students had a more positive image than female students. Of various media, students had more experiences related to nurses from TV rather than internet sites, books and newspaper/magazines. Especially, the nurse's role on TV 'seemed to be an assistant of a doctor' was rated the highest by the students. Conclusion: It is necessary to develop a strategy to improve the social image of the nurse through TV by providing correct information on the nurse's role. For this purpose, it is required to consistently monitor and analyze the nurse's role shown in media.

  • Purpose: This study was designed to identify the image of nurse and it's determinants among nursing students and non-nursing students. Method: A descriptive correlational research design was used. All 1908 subjects were obtained by convenience sampling from three nursing diploma programs. The data were collected using a self-reporting questionnaire from April 1st to June 30th, 2005. Collected data were analyzed on SPSS Win 12.0. Result: The mean score of 'professional image factor' was higher than any other factors of image of nurse in both nursing students and non-nursing students. The mean score of 'subjective determinant' was higher than any other determinants among nursing students and non-nursing students. The image of nurse and it's determinants of nursing students were significantly higher than those of non-nursing students'. Conclusions: The findings of this study indirectly showed that the practical strategies would be needed in order to promote the image of nurse of the people who were not be related to nursing.

간호학생의 간호이미지와 임상실습만족도 (Nursing Students' Image of Nurse and Satisfaction with Clinical Practice)

  • Purpose: This study was designed to identify the relationship between image of nursing and satisfaction with clinical practice of nursing students Method: A descriptive research design that examined relationship between image of nurse and satisfaction with clinical practice of nursing students was used for this study, All 350 subjects were obtained by convenience sampling from three nursing diploma programs. The data were collected using an self-reporting questionnaire from May 1st to 31st, 2003. Collected data were analysed on SPSS Win 11.0. Result: There is a significant relationship between image of nurse and satisfaction with clinical practice of nursing student. Classical image of nurse, older age, and satisfaction with nursing of nursing students were identified as the factors that influence significantly on their satisfaction with clinical practice. Conclusions: Nursing student is given a chance to prepare themselves be a nurse through well-structured clinical nursing practice. Therefore, it's important to enhance nursing students' image of nurse and satisfaction with nursing in order to enhance their satisfaction with clinical practice.

간호사와 간호조무사가 지각하는 방사선사 인식도 (Perception Level of Nurses and Auxiliary Nurses for Radiological technologist)

  • 본 연구는 부산광역시 소재 대학병원에 근무하는 간호사와 간호조무사 321명을 대상으로 방사선사의 인식도를 조사하여 방사선사의 위상과 전문적 이미지를 향상시키기 위한 기초 자료를 제공 하고자 연구를 실시한 결과 인식도는 $3.02{\pm}0.42$점이며 영역별로는 직업적 이미지가 높았고 업무적 이미지가 낮았다. 문항별로는 '전문직이다'가 높았고 '환자의 문제를 잘 파악하고 있다'가 가장 낮았다. 교육과정, 시험주관기관을 정확히 알고 있고 의료법상 의료인, 의료기사라고 응답한 대상자들의 인식도가 높았고 호칭을 기사로 사용하는 대상자의 인식도가 낮았다. 방사선사 직업 선택을 찬성하고 의료기관내 위치가 높다는 대상자의 인식도가 높았다. 인식도를 높이기 위한 방안으로 환자에 대한 적극적인 관심과 친절한 태도로 부정적인 이미지를 개선하고 호칭을 정립하기 위한 개인과 협회차원의 홍보와 대책이 필요하며 과거 전문대학의 이미지에서 탈피하기 위한 노력과 학술대회와 보수교육 활성화, 전문방사선사제도의 법령 제정으로 방사선사의 자질과 위상을 높이고 대중매체를 통한 홍보와 모니터링으로 전문직업인으로서의 이미지 향상을 위한 개인과 협회의 노력이 필요할 것으로 생각한다.

임상 간호사의 자율성과 전문직 자아개념 (A Correlational Study on Professional Autonomy and Self-Concept of Clinical Nurses)

  • Nurses experience role conflict between nursing theory that they learned in school and clinical nursing practice. This conflict lead to lower self-image, self-esteem, job dissatisfaction. Also, the professionalism of nurses is estimatable by the grade of autonomy. The professional autonomy requires individual and professional obligation about her decision and performance. A lack of professional autonomy results in the Job dissatisfaction. Job dissatisfaction leads to absenteeism, increased proneness to mental and physical illness and higher turnover rates. The purpose of this study was to investigate professional autonomy and self-concept of clinical nurses. Data were collected from 262 clinical nurses in P city from June 1 to June 30, 1996. The instruments used for this study were made by Arthur(1990) and Schutzenhofer(1983). The data were analyzed for frequency and percetage, mean, SD, t-test, ANOVA, Pearson's correlation coefficient, stepwise mutiple regression, using SAS $PC^+$ Program. The findings were as it follows : 1. The mean of professional autonomy and self-concept were $152{\pm}18.48,\;70.65{\pm}8.20$(2.62), respectively. These showed mid level of professional autonomy and self-concept. 2. Professional autonomy of clinical nurses was found to vary significantly according to total years of clinical experience(F=4.49 p<0.01), position(F=3.49 p<0.05), and state under study for the degree(F=3.83 p<0.05). Professional self-concept was found to vary significantly according to age(F=3.52 p<0.05), marital status(F=7.39 p<0.001), total years of clinical experience(F=3.59 p<0.05), position(F= 5.22 p<0.01), the expectant period being on the duty as clinical nurse(F=8.34 p<0.001), and motivation of choosing nursing(F=5.17 p<0.001). 3. The statistical relationship between clinical nurses' professional autonomy and self-concept was found as positive correlation(r=0.42246 p<0.001). 4. Professional autonomy was the highest factor predicting professional self-concept(17.85%). Professional autonomy and marital status accounted for 20.60% in professional self-concept of clinical nurses. In conclusion, Professional autonomy and self-concept of clinical nurses showed significantly positive relationship. Therefore, nursing education needs to develop programs and policies to increase professional autonomy and self-concept of clinical nurses.

스마트 폰을 활용한 객관적 임상시험 후 자기평가와 자기효능감 및 만족도 (Self-assessment, Self-efficacy and Satisfaction after OSCE using Smart Phone)

  • Background: The purpose of this study was to examine relationships among self-assessment, self-efficacy, and satisfaction after OSCE(Objective Structured Clinical Examination) using smart phone. Methods: The convenience sample was consisted of 90 nursing college students. The data were collected from November 15 to November 18 in 2011. The data were analyzed using SPSS win 19.0 program. Data were analyzed with descriptive statistics including t-test, ANOVA and Pearson's correlation coefficient to compare self-efficacy and satisfaction by subject's general related characteristics and to examine the relationships among variables. Results: The level of self-efficacy was 3.48(${\pm}0.27$). The level of satisfaction was 4.01(${\pm}0.54$). Self-efficacy was significant relationship satisfaction with practice education (r=.380, p=.045), satisfaction with the method of practical tests (r=.270, p=.009), and satisfaction with major (r=.250, p=.015). There was significant relationship between satisfaction with major and satisfaction with practice education (r=.240, p=.020). Conclusion: Comprehensive intervention promoting self-efficacy, interpersonal relationship, and perceived image of nurses after practicum is needed to improve self-efficacy and satisfaction, for those who can not better interpersonal relationships, perceived image of nurses after practicum.

폐경기 중년여성의 폐경단계에 따른 건강지각, 신체상, 성기능 및 우울 (Health Perception, Body Image, Sexual Function and Depression in Menopausal Women according to Menopausal Stages)

  • Purpose: The purpose of this study was to investigate the influences of health perception, body image and sexual function on depression according to the menopausal stage in Korean middle aged women. Methods: Subjects were 182 perimenopausal and postmenopausal women who had not received hormonal replacement therapy. A five-item General HealthShort Form (SF-36) Health Survey Questionnaire (Ware & Sherbourne, 1992) was used to measure health perception. Body image was measured Semantic Differential scale, CES-D was used to measure the level of depression, and sexual function was measured by FSFI. Results: The subjects rated their health as 'moderate', their body image as 'moderate, and level of depression as 'high'. However, there were no significant differences in health perception, body image, and depression between perimenopasual and postmenopausal women. Postmenopausal women experienced lower levels of sexual function than perimenopausal women in sexual arousal, lubrication, orgasm, satisfaction, and pain. In stepwise regression analysis, 21.7% of variance in depression was shown to be perceived health and body image in postmenopausal women. However, in perimenopausal women, perceived health and sexual function explained 34.5% of variance in depression. Conclusion: These findings indicate that nurses must consider the menopasusal stage when counseling their patients.

링거 자동 교체를 위한 잔량 검출 알고리즘 (An Algorithm for Detecting Residual Quantity of Ringer's Solution for Automatic Replacement)

  • 최근 POC (Point of care)와 같은 의료서비스의 질을 높이기 위한 연구가 많이 진행되고 있다. 서비스의 질을 높이기 위해서는 장비뿐만 아니라 간호사 인력의 확충이 매우 중요하다. 그러나 현재 대한민국의 간호사 인력은 매우 부족하며, OECD 국가 중 최하위를 기록하고 있다. 많은 간호사의 업무중 단순 반복적인 업무를 대체할 경우, 추가적인 인건비 없이도 고급의 간호 인력을 다른 업무에 사용할 수 있다. 수많은 단순 반복적인 간호사 업무 중에는, 본 논문에서는 링거액을 교체하는 업무에 초점을 맞추었다. 그러므로 본 논문에서는 링거의 자동 교체를 위하여, 먼저 링거의 잔량을 검출하는 알고리즘을 구현하였다. 구현된 알고리즘은 실제 현장에 사용할 때 많이 발생할 수 있는 조명 문제의 해결을 위하여 수정된 SQI 알고리즘을 사용하였으며, 이후 간단한 히스토그램 누적 방법을 이용하여 링거의 잔량을 검색하였다. 구현된 알고리즘은 링거 교체에 사용될 수도 있으며, 간호사들에게 경보를 주는 곳에도 사용할 수 있다.

신규간호사의 업무수행능력에 영향을 주는 요인 (Factors affecting the clinical competence of new nurses)

  • 신규간호사의 경우 간호수행을 위한 전문지식과 기술이 부족할 뿐만 아니라 학교에서 배운 이론적 지식을 실제 업무수행에 적용시키는데 어려움을 겪게 된다. 이에 본 연구는 신규간호사의 간호업무수행능력에 영향을 주는 요인들을 밝혀 간호업무수행능력향상 중재 시 그 기초자료를 제공하고자 시행되었다. 본 연구대상자는 신규간호사 182명이며, IBM SPSS 23.0 프로그램을 이용해 자료를 분석하였다. 본 연구결과 업무수행능력은 간호사 수, 근무병원이 실습을 했던 병원인 경우, 간호사 이미지에 따라 유의한 차이가 나타났다(p<.05). 업무수행능력은 회복탄력성(r = .50), 감정노동(r = .62)과 유의미한 상관관계를 보였고(p <.001), 신규 간호사의 업무수행능력의 유의한 영향 요인은 회복탄력성(β = .567)과 감정노동(β = .332)이었으며, 총 설명력은 50.5%(p <.001)이었다. 신규간호사의 업무수행능력의 영향요인을 고려한 맞춤식 중재가 필요하다.
