This paper analyzes the customer behavior on high efficiency inverter program in terms of rebate levels. The importance of high efficiency DSM programs has been more and more increased after deregulation. Especially, the inverter program is one of the most high efficiency DSM programs, so this paper presents proper rebate levels in terms of both participants and non-participants to promote diffusion of the inverters.

Considering a special double-cover Q of the symmetric group of degree 3, we show that a proper non-regular approximate symmetry occurs from its quasigroup homogeneous space. The weak compatibility of any two elements of Q is completely characterized in any such quasigroup homogeneous space of degree 4.

This article addresses the Bayesian hypothesis testing for the comparison of two exponential mans. Conventional Bayes factors with improper non-informative priors are into well defined. The fractional Byes factor(FBF) of O'Hagan(1995) is used to overcome such as difficulty. we derive proper intrinsic priors, whose Bayes factors are asymptotically equivalent to the corresponding FBFs. We demonstrate our results with three examples.

The sintering behaviors and process parameters of some compounds (carbides, oxides, sulfides, borides) were investigated experimentally. These compounds were successfully consolidated and showed high densities. Some unique phenomena such as retardation of grain growth, suppression of thermal decomposition and maintenance of initial non-equilibrium phases, were observed by the proper control of process in spark sintering.

A finite group G is called a SB-group if every subgroup of G is either s-quasinormal or abnormal in G. In this paper, we give a complete classification of those groups which are not SB-groups but all of whose proper subgroups are SB-groups.

In this paper we show that if K is an incline with multiplicative identity and I is an r-ideal of k containing a unit u, then I = K. Moreover, we show that in a non-zero incline K with multiplicative identity and zero element, every proper r-ideal in K is contained in a maximal r-ideal of K.

The procedure of finding operating conditions minimizing qualify loss is proposed with a real industry example. The procedure consists or major two parts - the selection or process variables critical to the response and He determination or operating conditions. The coefficients or ridge regression and the and stores or partial least squares are applied to select important process variables. Functional approach and Non-functional approach are used to find proper operating conditions of important process variables.

The importance of the reliability of software is growing more and more as more complicated digital computer systems are used for real-time control applications. To provide more reliable software, the testing period should be long enough, but not unnecessarily too long. In this study, we suggest a simple but effective stopping rule which can provide just proper amount of testing time. We take unique features of software into consideration and adopt non-homogeneous Poisson process model and Bayesian approach. A numerical example is given to demonstrate the validity of our stopping rule.

A study on the dynamic response of single-storey steel frames equipped with a rotational friction damper is presented. Extensive testing was carried out for assessing the friction pad material, damper unit performance and foaled model frame response to lateral harmonics excitation. Numerical simulations based on non-linear time history analysis were used to evaluate the seismic behaviour of steel frames with rotational frictional damper. It Is demonstrated that using discrete friction dampers of proper parameters to link steel frame can reduce dynamic response significantly.

Empirical findings on interet rate dynamics imply that short rates show some long memories and non-Markovin. It is well-known that fractional Brownian motion(fBm) is a proper candidate for modelling this empirical phenomena. fBm, however, is not a semimartingale process. For this reason, it is very hard to apply such processes for asset price modelling. With some modifications, this paper investigate the fBm interest rate theory, and obtain a pure discount bond price and Greeks.
