As pet- one-person households increase, conditions must be developed to be easy to manage, but are still slow. In the case of single-person households, they have difficulty in feeding their food in case of unexpected situations such as appointments and night shifts. The above works can be distributed remotely regardless of time and place through the application. In addition, the addition of automatic booking service makes it possible to provide more convenience and improve the conditions.
This study compared and examined the dietary behavior and food frequency of 100 female workers in their 20s who work night and day shifts at take-out coffee shops and 100 female office workers. The results of the study can be summarized as the following. The experimental group showed lower rates of income, tenure of office, sleeping hours, and frequency of exercise(p<0.001), and higher rates of gastric and intestinal illnesses, weight fluctuates, and smoking(p<0.001) than the control group. More than 83% of the experimental group(p<0.001) answered that they eat alone(p<0.001). The experimental group showed lower rates of regularity of meal and balanced diet(p<0.001), and higher rates of overeating(p<0.01), skipping breakfast and eating late-at-night(p<0.001) than the control group. The experimental group consumed less frequently rice, meat, fish, egg, bean, kimchi, vegetables and fruit(p<0.001), and more frequently noodles, bread, cereal, seaweed, milk, coffee and alcohol(p<0.001) than the control group.
Purpose: This study aimed to examine premenstrual symptoms (PMS) of shift nurses and identify the association between PMS, sleep, and occupational stress. Methods: This study was conducted with a secondary data analysis that used data from the Shift Work Nurse's Health and Turnover study. The participants were 258 nurses who were working in shifts including night shifts. PMS, sleep patterns (sleep time and sleep time variability), sleep quality, and the occupational stress of each participant were measured using the Moos Menstrual Distress Questionnaire, a sleep diary, an actigraph, the Insomnia Severity Index, and the Korean Occupational Stress Scale, respectively. Data were analyzed using SPSS 23 and STATA 15.1 to obtain descriptive statistics, Pearson's correlation coefficients, multiple linear regression with generalized estimating equations (GEE) and Baron and Kenny's mediating analysis. Results: The average PMS score, average sleep time, average sleep time variability, average sleep quality score, and average occupational stress score of the participants was 53.95 ± 40.45, 7.52 ± 0.89 hours, 32.84 ± 8.43%, 12.34 ± 5.95, and 49.89 ± 8.98, respectively. A multiple linear regression analysis with GEE indicated that sleep time variability (B = 0.86, p = .001), and sleep quality (B = 2.36, p < .001) had negative effects on nurses' PMS. We also found that sleep quality had a complete mediating effect in the relationship between occupational stress and PMS. Conclusion: These findings indicate that both sleep time variability and sleep quality are important factors associated with PMS among shift work nurses. To improve shift nurses' PMS status, strategies are urgently needed to decrease sleep time variability and increase sleep quality.

Purpose: The purpose of this study was to investigate the risk factors of exposure to blood and body fluid by clinical nurses. Method: The participants in this descriptive study were 276 clinical nurses involved in nursing care in a general hospital located in Seoul. The collected data were analyzed using a logistic regression model. Results: The annual exposure rate to blood and body fluid by clinical nurses was 66.3%, and the ratio was higher in the exposed group than in the non-exposed group for nurses under the age of 25, nurses who were unmarried, nurses with low clinical experience, and nurses who work night shifts more than six days a week. Clinical nurses who were unmarried were 1.9 times more likely to have been exposed compared to married nurses. Nurses whose work experience was less than 18 months were 2.7 times more at risk than nurses with more than 18 months of experience. Also, nurses whose fatigue scores were high had an increased chance of exposure (1.9 times). Conclusion: It is necessary to provide intensive training programs for clinical nurses who are in the early months of their career and are likely to be young and unmarried, in order to prevent exposure to blood and body fluid. Administrative supports to self-control and hospital ward operation measures to relieve nurses' fatigue should be provided.
Purpose: The purpose of this study was to provide a fundamental data for improving nurses' working environment and securing quality of nursing care. Method: It was consisted of analyzing education system and employment status of nursing personnel, and focus group interviews in Cheju Island. Results: Total graduates were 4,139 by 2006 from two nursing schools in Cheju. Difficulties in working conditions from focal group interviews were classified into four categories; Lack of anonymity of nurses, the burden from performing nontraditional nursing roles due to shortage of physicians, irregularity of working schedule and too many night shifts for taking care of female colleague's condition related with pregnancy, and poor support for implementing and developing professional nursing. Conclusion: A survey revealing working condition of nursing personnel of all health care institutions in Cheju Island will provide the comparison between Cheju Island and other areas. It needs to cultivate the public opinion about the importance of quality of nursing care proceeded by the broad support for improving nurses' working environment. It is essential to support continuing education to bring professional nurses and establishing the system to utilize them to overcome the shortage of physicians in Cheju Island.
Challenging Minisatellite Payload (CHAMP) satellite magnetic data are used to investigate the latitudinal variation of the storm-time meso-scale field-aligned currents by defining a new metric called the FAC range. Three major geomagnetic storm events are considered. Alongside SymH, the possible contributions from solar wind dynamic pressure and interplanetary magnetic field (IMF) $B_Z$ are also investigated. The results show that the new metric predicts the latitudinal variation of FACs better than previous studies. As expected, the equatorward expansion and poleward retreat are observed during the storm main phase and recovery phase respectively. The equatorward shift is prominent on the northern duskside, at ${\sim}58^{\circ}$ coinciding with the minimum SymH and dayside at ${\sim}59^{\circ}$ compared to dawnside and nightside respectively. The latitudinal shift of FAC range is better correlated to IMF $B_Z$ in northern hemisphere dusk-dawn magnetic local time (MLT) sectors than in southern hemisphere. The FAC range latitudinal shifts responds better to dynamic pressure in the duskside northern hemisphere and dawnside southern hemisphere than in southern hemisphere dusk sector and northern hemisphere dawn sector respectively. FAC range exhibits a good correlation with dynamic pressure in the dayside (nightside) southern (northern) hemispheres depicting possible electrodynamic similarity at day-night MLT sectors in the opposite hemispheres.

This Female soldiers today have a child-rearing problem, dealing with the environment and numerous hardships arising from their professional family composition such as working overtime and moving directors due to their characteristics during military service. Also, female soldiers are deepening with the unique duties of the military and frequent training sessions and night shifts, and the hardships of the status quo are continuing, for this reason the heavy responsibilities and stresses of the female military in charge of child care are reaching an extreme. Therefore, this study needs to study institutional measures to ensure the service conditions of female soldiers during the period of child care and to improve child care.
Background: A well-designed shift schedule has been reported to have a positive effect on improving health problems associated with shift work. This study aimed to identify compliance with the 17 recommendations on work schedule (WSRs) for shift nurses and related factors. Methods: The descriptive study was conducted with 182 nurses who worked in three shifts for more than 1 year at superior general and general hospitals in three regions. Data were collected with selfadministered questionnaire and 13-week work schedule tables, and analyzed with both person- and cycle-based compliance. Results: Person-based compliance was 11.77 among 17 items in total. However, no one completely complied with WSRs of "no work on weekends" and which showed the lowest cycle-based compliance (22.3%). Compliance with some WSRs was related to hospital type, proportion of nurses in school and having standards on work schedule at institutional level. Conclusion: Compliance with WSRs of shift nurses in Korea is still unsatisfactory, and one day off after night shift and work on weekend are quite common. Hospitals should keep the standards on work schedule, monitor compliance with standards, and try to introduce modified shift systems to improve the current problems.
Purpose: For this study the moderating and mediating effects of resilience on the relationships between work intensity, conflicts in interpersonal relationship and nurses' burnout were investigated. Methods: In this descriptive research 227 nurses who consented to participate in the study were surveyed. The tool included nurses' objective work intensity, subjective work intensity, conflicts in interpersonal relationships, resilience, and burnout. Data were collected from nurses in general hospitals in D city from July to August 2017. Collected data were analyzed using SPSS 23.0 program. Results: Participants' burnout showed a statistically significant difference according to age, marital status, total clinical experience, position, work pattern, frequency of night shifts, work department, and salary. Participants' burnout was significantly positively correlated with subjective work intensity and conflicts in interpersonal relationships, and significantly negatively correlated with resilience. Resilience moderated the relationship between participants' subjective work intensity and burnout, and mediated the relationship between conflicts in interpersonal relationships and burnout. Conclusion: Resilience had a moderating effect on the relationship between subjective work intensity and burnout, and a mediating effect on the relationship between conflicts in interpersonal relationships and burnout. Therefore, further efforts and diverse intervention measures are required to enhance resilience and reduce work intensity and conflicts in interpersonal relationships in order to prevent burnout in nurses.
Purpose : This study aimed to examine the relationships of burnout and compassion competency with job satisfaction among nurses working in the intensive care units and emergency rooms. Methods : A correlational survey was conducted from August 1 to August 14, 2018 and involved in 102 nurses working at four university hospitals for more than 1 year. A structured questionnaire was used to measure burnout, compassion competency, and job satisfaction, and data were analyzed using hierarchical multiple regression and mediation effect analysis. Results : The mean scores of burnout, compassion competency, and job satisfaction were 2.58, 4.35, and 2.95, respectively. Burnout and compassion competency along with working night shifts and a wish to transfer explained 35.3% of variance in job satisfaction. Compassion competency showed a small but significant mediating effect in the relationship between burnout and job satisfaction (indirect effect -.0446, 95% CI -.1133, -.0075). Conclusion : Burnout and compassion competency were the significant influencing factors of job satisfaction among nurses working in intensive care units and emergency rooms. Since compassion competency showed a significant mediating effect, further studies should focus on intervention strategies for compassion competency to improve job satisfaction in this population.
