The purpose of this study is to examine the higher value-added characteristics of tailored jacket designs, which are major items of French luxury brands, in an effort to raise the competitiveness of domestic fashion designs. The characteristics of the jacket designs from the 1940s to the 1970s, the golden age of Haute Couture, were examined. Based on this, the characteristics of the higher value-added expressions of the luxury brands were established by analyzing the tailored jacket designs that appeared in the Paris collection after 2010. The results are as follows: the characteristics were categorized into 'traditional value expression,' 'conceptual value expression,' 'retro value expression,' and 'creative value expression.' Traditional value was expressed as the representation of the styles inherent to the golden age of the Haute Couture houses, and the status of the luxury brands with history was represented by equally arranging the size and characteristics of the elements of the designs related to jacket silhouette. Conceptual value was reestablished as contemporary identity into which the traditional ideology of the houses and the present designers' sentiments were grafted by developing the designs with the theme containing the identity of the past Haute Couture houses. Retro value was utilized as the strategy to differentiate the luxury brands with long history from contemporary products. Creative value was expressed as tailored jackets with new concepts of shape variation and usage conversion by combining creative sentiments with the high quality techniques of Haute Couture and appears to be able to create a new consumption market of luxury brands in the global fashion market.

네일샵을 찾는 고객들은 창조적이고 유니크한 디자인을 필요로 하지만 현재 네일 아티스트들은 모방의 수준에 있어 고객들의 만족도를 높이기 위해서는 개성 있는 네일아트 디자인 개발이 필요하다. 따라서 본 연구의 목적은 모든 디자인의 기본이 되는 조형원리를 적용한 네일아트 융합디자인을 제시하여 창조적인 네일아트 디자인 발상에 기여하고자 한다. 연구방법은 전문서적과 인터넷 자료, 선행연구 등을 조사하여 조형원리의 개념 및 사례, 네일아트의 개념 및 표현기법들을 분석한 후 조형 원리를 적용한 네일아트 융합디자인 6작품을 제작하였다. 네일아트 기법은 네일샵에서 가장 많이 사용하는 핸드페인팅, 마블, 시스루, 에칭, 엠보, 패치, 오브제 기법을 적용하였다. 연구 결과, 조형원리를 적용한 창의적이고 독창적인 네일아트 융합디자인을 제시함으로써 새로운 네일아트 디자인 창출의 가능성을 확인할 수 있었고 본 연구가 네일아티스트의 디자인 역량을 강화하는데 기초자료로서의 의의가 있음을 알 수 있었다.

The aim of this research is to propose the final shirt design modified for new senior women that fulfills their emotional and physical needs. The modifications were based on the results of in-depth interviews and literature search, and the study was conducted in order to understand the desires and preferences of senior women, as consumption of outdoor-wear by the group continues to increase. To develop the design of outdoor-wear that satisfies the physical and emotional qualities and preference of the new senior women, six different designs with lines, combined materials, as well as materials that were layered, pleated and draped were proposed using virtual-dressing simulation software. Then, the modified designs were derived from the six original designs by reflecting the opinions collected in the in-depth interviews with eleven women in their 50s. The responses in the interviewed showed a preference for lines, pleats and layers, as these features made the clothes look trendy, gave it a slender-look, and improved the body shape of the women. As the color is the critical factor for outdoor-wear, there was an overwhelming preference for primary colors by the women, which was in contrast to their color preference in general clothes. A sleeve design modification was proposed to convert the half-sleeves to 3/4-long sleeves in order to account for changes in body temperature at menopause, and to satisfy the aesthetic needs for covering wrinkles. Research of new senior outdoor-wear designs will help segment and differentiate strategies for the increasingly fierce competing outdoor market, as well as l provide directions in the design creation process using the simulation of 3D virtual model.

The lack of consideration for statistical properties in Taguchi's three­level linear graphs is rectified. We propose a new set of linear graphs for the three­level orthogonal arrays according to the maximum resolution criterion. In the presence of two­factor interactions however, the serious bias of all the estimated effects as well as the estimated variance shows that these designs should not be employed. The various alternative designs are discussed.

A new method of construction of second order slope rotatable designs (SOSRD) using symmetrical unequal block arrangements (SUBA) with two unequal block sizes is suggested. The proposed method may sometimes lead to designs with less number of design points than those available in the literature. Further, bounds for the parameters of SOSRD are also obtained.

Criteria and designs are developed for estimating derivatives of P-variable second order polynomial response surfaces. The basic criterion used is mean square error of the estimated derivative, averaged over all directions and then averaged over a region of interest. A new design concept called slope-rotatability is introduced. A simplex optimization program is used to find minimum mena square error designs for the two variable case for $6 \leq N \leq 12$.

In this paper, we develop a simple method for computing the stabilizer subgroup of a subgroup of $$D(g)={{\alpha}{\in}\mathbb{F}_q|there\;is\;a\;{\beta}{\in}{\mathbb{F}}^x_q\;such\;that\;{\beta}^n=g(\alpha)}$$ in $PSL_2(\mathbb{F}_q)$, where q is a large odd prime power, n is a positive integer dividing q-1, and $g(x){\in}\mathbb{F}_q[x]$. As an application, we construct new infinite families of 3-designs (cf. Examples 3.4 and 3.5).

Slope rotatability of response surface designs is a desirable property when we are interested in estimating slopes of response surfaces. In this paper, we derive a simplified measure of slope rotatability from new viewpoints for response surface designs that are frequently used in response surface methodology.

Because of complex aliasing, nonregular designs have traditionally been used for screening only main effects. However, complex aliasing actually may allow some interactions entertained and estimated without making additional runs. According to hierarchical principle, the minimum aberration has been used as an important criterion for selecting regular fractional factorial designs. The criterion is not applicable to nonregular designs. In this paper, we give a criterion for choosing fractional factorial designs based on the fan theory. The criterion is focused on the partial ordering given by set inclusion on estimable sets which is called leaves.

This study explores the possibility of creating new experimental hanbok designs by accommodating the latest world fashion trends and the changing needs of consumers, in order to attempt to overcome the limitations of traditional Korean fashion design. To do so, We analyze works by contemporary Korean fashion designers to investigate current developments in Korean fashion design and to identify areas of improvement within hanbok design. The results show that most contemporary hanbok designs repeat stereotypes of traditional hanbok with minor modifications. So there arises a need to create new hanbok designs that are clearly distinct from traditional hanbok but also maintain its core features. To develop such designs, I apply the techniques of deconstruction fashion, which allow making experiments with form, composition, and materials use to realize new aesthetics. The use of CLO 3D fashion design software also proves to be very efficient for developing experimental designs. The study results make meaningful contributions to the development of virtual clothing and 3D fashion for hanbok, particularly as metaBUS, a cloud-based research synthesis platform, is rapidly gaining ground, and reality and virtual reality are increasingly mixed in everyday life. This attempt at 3D design of hanbok is expected to trigger more creative experimentation in hanbok design.
