  • The essence of Mutual aid service is looking into the general commerce about its goods and services that is a general viewpoint. Through the contract that the contractor related with the Mutual aid associations and Mutual aid companies. provide the goods and services to future member's demanding point. and members are pay out money, and pay for that on the installment plan. This Mutual aid business had been increased rapidly after 2005, it is expanded huge business, even its scale alone, the cost is estimated at over three trillion won. But because of Mutual aid business's prepayment installment plan, stipulated substance of the Law on hire-purchase systems were more actualized than in the past, but it leave much to be desired. for example, the obligation of explanation to Mutual aid associations and members of Mutual aid company, the consumer protection about the contract of advance received deposit, upward problem of capital, when establish the Mutual aid company etc. in this paper will review these problems and improvement about legal details that for the customers of Mutual aid service and development of Mutual aid industry, and claimed about Mutual aid law's singular legislation.

  • SMEs in Korea are suffering from severe manpower shortage due to poor incentive system and employees' frequent change of jobs. So far, the government has made continuous efforts to solve these problems, but SMEs still have the same problem. It is critical for SMEs to maintain core employees for long term who can directly contribute to the business performance. However, Korean manpower policies for SMEs has mainly focused on hiring new recruits and attracting experienced high caliber employees to SMEs. Relatively, policies for attracting in-house employees to work for longer term were insufficient. This paper focuses on providing strategic policy options to make core employees stay in the company for longer term. For this, it identifies the concept and features of core employees and reviews the necessity of introducing the Mutual Aid Project. Also, it suggests the way to enhance the effectiveness of policy by analyzing current Mutual Aid Fund programs in Korea.

  • A classical commercial insurance, which is used widely as the risk management methods for risk transferring and risk financing, includes the factors of interests, gambling and uncertainty, In 1985 Islamic Fiqc Academy declared that the classical commercial insurance violates the Islamic fundamental principles and beliefs, alteratively recommending a mutual insurance and takaful. A basic principle of takaful is the mutual aid in the Islamic community. On the basis of mutual aid, takaful participants (insurance policyholder) establishes the takaful fund, which is cooperation fund by participant contribution. Takaful fund is separated from shareholders' fund, and the profit and loss of takaful fund are responsible for takaful policyholder. Ownership and operation right of takaful belong to the takaful participants. In takaful, takaful company takes a role of agent or management operator. Comparing to the classical insurance, takaful has the rights of profit dividend, voting of executives, access to accounting books etc. which are additional favors for business company or individuals as takaful participants. Business companies and individuals should consider to use takaful to transfer risk and to enjoy takaful's additional advantages.

  • This study is a study on the methodology of establishing an innovation strategy centering on the customer experience, which is essential in order to transform the existing collection and preservation-centered mutual aid company service into a visitor-centered service. To this end, we conducted literature research on environmental changes in the funeral industry from the perspective of service science and the significance and value of customer experiences within them, good customer experiences and bad customer experiences from the perspective of customer experience management. A study was conducted to present and prove a specific model. The customer experience-oriented innovation strategy of the funeral industry means to search for various alternatives that can reach the target state from the present state, focusing on the customer, and select the most appropriate transformation plan among them. As an effect of application, it was found that it is a source of differentiation by generating positive emotions to customers, and that customer experience data is highly helpful in making important decisions for the actual resource input of the parent company. This innovation model was presented, and its value was firstly proved by analyzing the difference from the existing evaluation method. Finally, as a result of analyzing the causal relationship through regression analysis using the customer experience measurement procedure, customer experience diagnosis/evaluation, customer experience innovation strategy, and cooperative company's performance as variables, the relationship proved to be significant.

Review of Medical Dispute Cases in the Pain Management in Korea: A Medical Malpractice Liability Insurance Database Study

  • Background: Pain medicine often requires medico-legal involvement, even though diagnosis and treatments have improved considerably. Multiple guidelines for pain physicians contain many recommendations regarding interventional treatment. Unfortunately, no definite treatment guidelines exist because there is no complete consensus among individual guidelines. Pain intervention procedures are widely practiced and highly associated with adverse events and complications. However, a comprehensive, systemic review of medical-dispute cases (MDCs) in Korea has not yet been reported. The purpose of this article is to analyze the frequency and type of medical dispute activity undertaken by pain specialists in Korea. Methods: Data on medical disputes cases were collected through the Korea Medical Association mutual aid and through a private medical malpractice liability insurance company. Data regarding the frequency and type of MDCs, along with brief case descriptions, were obtained. Results: Pain in the lumbar region made up a major proportion of MDCs and compensation costs. Infection, nerve injury, and diagnosis related cases were the most major contents of MDCs. Only a small proportion of cases involved patient death or unconsciousness, but compensation costs were the highest. Conclusions: More systemic guidelines and recommendations on interventional pain management are needed, especially those focused on medico-legal cases. Complications arising from pain management procedures and treatments may be avoided by physicians who have the required knowledge and expertise regarding anatomy and pain intervention procedures and know how to recognize procedural aberrations as soon as they occur.

  • As the service quality measurement has been developed, various fields of service quality measurement have evolved. Especially the development of the mobile communication service and its status has been watched with keen interest. The growth of mobile communications has not developed alone. It evolved with the growth of the mobile communications company and the device manufacturer. This research investigates the mutual relation sand influence between the service quality and the device quality. This is a distinguished phenomenon within the existing research. Currently in Korea mobile devices can be purchased independently of network provider; however, there are also arrangements whereby the manufacturer supplies devices through only selected service providers. The model of service quality measurement is not a simple fragment model for the service quality anymore. It is required to establish the ultimate model for the service quality to determine if the customer differentiates between the device and service quality. Knowing if a customer differentiates between device and service can aid strong brands when deciding which partners to select for collaborative strategies. The aim of this research is to determine the significant difference between the models of service quality measurement based on differing levels of brand awareness.

  • The purpose of this paper is to study ways to improve the welfare of private security guards. For this reason, it was analyzed the actual situation of the private security guards' wage and welfare system. As a result of the analysis, the most important factors that affect the wages and welfare system of private security guards was such as contracting costs, the minimum wage level, professional duties. In particular, a private security guards have been recognized as the most low-level professionalism sorted by the simple laborers standard classification. Wages of guards in accordance with this recognition is only about 47% of major company on average, about 80% of the small business average. If the proposed future improvements include: First, we need to improve the professionalism of a private security. Second, It is established a mutual-aid project about private security guards. Third, It shall regulate the wage of private security guards on Private Security Industry Act. Fourth, we should adopt a selective welfare system.

  • In the field of fisheries, there is at the apex Central Federation of Fishery Cooperatives, established under the Fishery Cooperatives Law(1962), It is a multipurpose organization with a membership of 105 cooperatives, 87 regional cooperatives, 15 business-type cooperatives and 3 manufactures' cooperatives. Accordingly, this thesis examines the marketing of fishery cooperatives in Korea, and in particular considers the marketing channel strategy of fisheries products. No company can perform by itself all the activities involved in the production and distribution of its products and services to its final markets. It must work with other firms to get the job done. This thesis tries to attempt to improve the present Korean Fishery Cooperatives marketing activities. The purpose of the operation of fishery cooperatives is to guarantee the profits of fisherman as well as the interests of general consumers by eliminating the inordinate profits of middlemen and by narrowing other market margins. Fishery cooperatives marketing activity functions forming a self-helf organization for economic protection of producers themselves, and acting as a market reformational institution through its transaction by group. The following are the characteristics of fishery cooperatives marketing. \circled1 Fishery cooperatives is organized with an economic factor and a personnel factor. \circled2 Fishery cooperatives is non-profit organization. \circled3 The members of fishery cooperatives is independent constitution of economy, but they are closely connected with the cooperative. \circled4 Fishery cooperatives is a mutual aid organization. The objective of an efficient marketing strategy may be well described by the common saying provides the right product at the right time, the right place, and the right price. But it is quite true that the Korean Fishermen's Cooperative can be said to owe its development to the successful implementation of the marketing system. The use of the marketing system has resulted in the following marketing strategy. 1. The direct marketing system. \circled1 The cooperation between the fishery cooperatives and the other cooperative through the collection and delivery center. \circled2 The selling between the fishery cooperatives and the large scale retailers through the process industry. 2. The vertical marketing system. \circled1The fishermen's cooperative to be nominated by wholesaler in the terminal market. \circled2 Contracted vertical marketing system. \circled3 Abolition of selling by double auction in the landing and the terminal market. 3. The physical distribution system. \circled1 The need for adoption of cold chain system to connect production directly to consumption. \circled2 The need for more expansion of landing markets and terminal market facilities. Solutions to the problems of the Korean fishery are made possible through effective functioning of cooperative marketing activities of fishery products. The marketing concept of fishermen's cooperative lies in the satisfaction of consumer needs. According to the marketing concept fishermen's cooperative should try to satisfy customer's needs through a coodinated set of activities that allows the organization to achieve its goal. Providing satisfaction to customers is the major trust of the marketing concept. To do this, a business must find out what will satisfy customers. With this information the cooperative sells to the greatest possible number of customers through the most efficient sales and marketing channels. Economic rationality of fishermen's cooperative marketing lies in reduction of marketing cost and elimination of intermediate institutions. Cooperative marketing and direct marketing are both indispensable marketing factors for a new cooperative organization among the manu ways. The cooperation between the fishermen's cooperative and the others cooperative, and vertical marketing system are the most necessary ones. Propulsion of cooperative marketing system could not be successful without the support of the marketing instituion's help. Consequently, successful cooperative marketing ought to lead to the necessity not only for the improvement of marketing organization, but for the application of a new marketing concept in the fishermen's cooperative.

Study on Types and Counterplans of Medical Accident Experienced by Dentists in Seoul(2004) (서울특별시 개원 치과의사의 의료사고 및 분쟁의 유형과 대책에 관한 연구(2004년))

  • Dentistry had been considered to be a relatively safe zone from the risk of medical accidents for there are less number of emergency cases. However, in these days, the number of medical dispute is increasing that the dentists would not be able to overlook it as if it is none of their matters. Hence, researches on various medical accidents and analyses on related matters to seek proper management have been carried out recently, but the datas are not enough yet. This study analysed the actual conditions of medical accidents as well as disputes and the general awareness of dental practitioners in local clinics with the purpose of understanding the general situation and to suggest counterplan. The study was conducted by analysing 1,882 questionnaires collected from total of 3,684 dentists belonging to Seoul Dental Association and where Doctors and Hospitals Medical Malpractice Insurance for dentists is administered. The results were as follows: 1. 98.47% of the respondents doubted the risk of medical accident and dispute. 2. 27.42% of the respondents experienced medical dispute, and there was no significant difference between the rate of medical disputes and the resident training. 3. Among the cases of medical accidents, those related to the periodontal/operative treatment showed the highest rate of 20.50%, and that related to implant treatment was 6.17%. 4. 43.02% of the respondents explained about the treatment procedure before the treatment while 25.90% started the treatment without consent of the patients. 5. Medical dispute resulted from not having any explanation or consent of the patients were of 16.55%. 10.26% had difficulties in solving the problem for missing the medical records. 6. 49.73% responded to be capable of administering first aid treatment. Among them, 23.60% were equipped with accurate knowledge regarding the emergency care. 7. During medical dispute, 88.09% sought counsel from other dentists, and Local district dental association was found to be the most frequently asked group. 8. In cases of medical dispute, 5.26% of the respondents were asked to submit relevant data from customer protection organization, and among them, 75.61% acceded the demand sincerely. 9. After the settlement of the dispute, 83.63% recovered relatively stable state of mind. 10. 99.46% of the respondents felt the necessity of medical dispute management organization, and 78.58% responded that it was urgent. 11. 66.70% of the respondents joined Doctors and Hospitals Medical Malpractice Insurance, although they had not experienced medical dispute. However, 73.36% of the respondent were not aware of it, and 93.36% of the members were not aware of the procedure of the dispute settlement. 12. 79.0% of the respondents who joined the Doctors and Hospitals Medical Malpractice Insurance still felt confused when medical dispute occured, but relatively safer than before. 13. When medical dispute was settled through Doctors and Hospitals Medical Malpractice Insurance, 71.92% of the dentists were contented more than moderately, however, 35.16% of the patients were contented. 14. For complement of Doctors and Hospitals Medical Malpractice Insurance, 53.22% of the respondents felt that insurance company, dentist, and patient should all participate in bringing mutual agreement for quick settlement of the dispute. In addition, 29.08% of the respondents wanted insurance company to prevent patients from disturbing their practices. From the above results, improvement of the general awareness on increasing rate of medical disputes, and education as well as complementary measures for settlement of the disputes are required.
