The paper attempts to balance the discourses of transnational spaces that have focused on de-territorialization, by emphasizing that transnational spaces are maintained also through re-territorialization. Reviewing the literature of transnational social fields, translocality, multicultural spaces and transnational places, I aim to show the way the main issues from the literature help understand an actually existing transnational space, Little Mania in Daehangno, Seoul. I specifically address the dialectic relation between de-territorialization and re-territorialization, multi-scalar networks, and hybridity of multicultural spaces in interpreting the weekend enclave of Filipinos in Seoul. I argues that Little Manila is a grounded translocality operating through multi-scaled networks of various actors. Furthermore, it is not a unified space where one dominant Filipino identity stands out. Different Filipinos and Filipinas constitute the space imagining different homes. It is also a multicultural space open to other minorities, which suggests the possibility of alternative spatial politics based on co-presence of different 'Others'.

The main aim of the current research is to make the resources for the architectural planning available and usable from the investigation of the various dwelling needs in order for the multicultural family to make comfortable settlement. The members of multicultural families demand the various needs depending on their usage and identification of the dwelling space. The current research has conducted to define the solution to address the raised issue and unsatisfied factors from the dwelling that does not meet the multi-cultural families' demand, finding out from the survey/interview from the multicultural dwellers The methods to investigate is firstly to conduct the research based on the previous data with theological study, secondly, to perform the survey to the members of the multi-cultural families, and thirdly, to determine the satisfactory status and the requesting factors for the spaces by in-depth interview with selected members of multi-cultural families, using the diagram.

The purpose of this study is to examine whether multicultural youth's participation in activities affects academic performance, verify whether achievement motivation and social relations have multiple mediating effects, and analyze whether there are differences between male and female groups. To this end, a total of 1,635 high school sophomores were analyzed in the 8th year (2018) of the Multicultural Youth Panel Survey. As a result of the analysis, first, it was confirmed that the influence of multicultural youth's participation in youth activities on academic performance was partially mediated by achievement motivation and social relations. Second, for all multicultural adolescents, 'achievement motivation' was found to have a significant effect on academic performance, and this route was found to be male students is a female student. It was found to be more positive than 001), and the difference between groups was statistically significant. Therefore, it is necessary to expand opportunities to participate in youth activities for multicultural youth and to prepare creative activity spaces and content support policies.

Recently, concepts of multicultural society and/or multiculturalism have been not only widely discussed across several disciplines, but also actively promoted in government's policy, as the in-flow of foreign immigrants has increased rapidly. This paper suggests the term 'multicultural space' instead of multicultural society in a sense that both international migration of immigrants and their accommodation to a certain locality presuppose a spatial dimension. This paper also points out that the term multiculturalsim should be used very carefully, because this term includes a normative character implied in a sense of recognition of ethnic and cultural diversity and difference on the one hand, and an ideological one reflected on strategic policies of capital and the state on the other. On the basis of recognition of these problems, this paper tries to reformulate spatially the concept of muticultural society which has been supposed to be constructed due to rapidly increasing foreign immigrants, emphasizing some usefulness of multi-scalar approach. It then analyzes economic and political contexts of transnational migration, providing a criticism of multiculturalism as an ideological logic of capital and the state in transnational captialism. Finally it put a stress upon importance of struggle for spaces of recognition as a new glocal ethics in the age of post-globalization.

Recently in South Korea, family-friendly living environment in resident communities have emerged as an important issue in addressing problems created by personalized and fragmented family in urban areas. Since their foundation in 2005, Healthy Family Support Centers provided a variety of community activities for both parents and children through the Co-Child Care Sharing Programs. That being said, it is certain that the Healthy Family Support Centers play a central role in making a family-friendly environment. This study surveyed the physical environment of the co-child care sharing space and suggested further improvement. The content of this survey represents the characteristics of co-child care sharing space in Incheon such as operation status, physical space, prepared facilities, and preference for facilities. This study also explored the field of two co-child sharing spaces (Bupyung-gu and Seo-gu) as an example case. The subject of this study was 14 co-child sharing spaces of nine Healthy Family Support Centers in Incheon investigated from July 2014 to October 2014. This study indicated three results: first, the size of the co-child care spaces, their composition and facilities are very different from each center and require standards and guidelines for the co-child sharing space in regards to physical space, composition, and facilities. Second, co-child sharing space should be provided with individual special programs and diversified activities in addition to playing activities. Third, many healthy family support centers operate over two co-child sharing spaces along with an out-located co-child sharing space that require mutual organizing and operational networking between each co-child sharing space to effectively share programs.

Expressionism is an art trend that prospered in the early 20th century and was represented in art activities in the diverse fields. As capitalism spread and people underwent wars, people's consciousness became impoverished, and it was created by the artists as a reaction against this, and notable achievements were made in film art and this is called expressive film which still inspires many artists. The modern age is a multicultural age and art is not limited to one area but influences many fields and interchanges and communicates with one another. This study attempts to analyze how an art trend has been passed down and developed and has influenced modern space. The purpose of this study is to derive the keywords of their characteristics through expressive films and to study how expressionism has been transformed and represented by putting them into modern space and to explore new perspectives and directions. First, the theoretical backgrounds of expressionism and expressive films were examined through the analysis of the existing researches, and the types of the characteristics of the space represented in the films were classified. Based on this, the representative expressive films were selected and the keywords of the characteristics of the expressive films were derived. A museum among modern spaces is a space that reflects the art trends and culture of the times and modern spaces are represented best in it. Also, recently the construction of museums has been vitalized and has explosively grown quantitatively and qualitatively, and shows diverse designs to the point that they are called the laboratory of modern architecture, so by analyzing the cases focusing on museums among modern spaces, the conclusion was derived. As a result, it could be seen that the expressive film space is represented diversely in the museums by the architects' inner desire of expression, centering on nonlinear expression, nonobjective form, and representational perception.

This study has been implemented under the two purposes. One is to critically explore how married immigrant women had experienced or experience conflicts, differentiation and so on occurred in their relations to family, neighbor, friend, organization and nation. The other is to understand married immigrant women and family through a new perspective based on a relational space of interacting trans-nation, local and nation. The results of the study are summarized as the followings. Firstly, transnational space is produced by international marriage between Korean man and foreign woman and kept (or activated ) by (non) everyday activities of married immigrant women and family. There are remittance, children's rearing and education, visits to mother's house, emotional interactions by phone and computer and so on. Secondly, multi-layered and relational local spaces have been (re)produced by married immigrant women's various activities related to family, neighbor, friend, nation and so on. Thirdly, married immigrant women's relations to nation state or government has been specifically presented (or expressed) through the acquiring of Korean nationality and government's activities of supporting multicultural family. Married immigrant women feel that their national identity between mother's nation and Korea is ambiguous and undecided.

National citizenship has been empathized by nation-state since modern times. But with recent wave of globalization, the force of national citizenship is gradually reducing. Globalization requires citizens of global citizenship needed in the global village on the one hand, and of cultural citizenship suited in multicultural society on the other hand. The trend shows that the geographical focus of citizenship is shifted or expanded from the political domain to the social and cultural domain. Moreover, with concerns of personal everyday life citizenship is extended from standard personality by Western view to inclusion and exclusion in micro everyday space, non-Western view based on social difference of gender, class, ethnicity etc. New spaces of citizenship, cultural citizenship and everyday citizenship which empathizes personal right and difference is emerging instead of national citizenship based on personal allegiance and duty of the state. This means that the state has not only a task of establishment of common national citizenship, but also a challenge to recognize of diversity of citizens.

The purpose of this study is to examine the trend of plural eclecticism in costumes appearing on the stages of the world's top 4 musicals based on the general researches and establishments made of the mentioned concept. The conclusions of this study are as follows. First, the aspects of eclectics appearing in overall pieces can be defined as situational eclecticism. It can be attributed to the dramatic elements contrasted in the storyline of the musical and occurs in mixture with various situations. Showing combinations of costumes from varying situations at once in the same stage makes the audience feel the dynamic elements of the piece. Second, the aspect of temporal eclecticism, which can be seen in the 'Phantom of the Opera' regarding mixture of crinoline style and art nouveau style, resulted from the partial mixture of classical elements for maximizing visual beauty in the historical pieces. Third, the aspect of spatial eclecticism can be observed in the musical 'Miss Saigon', which used costumes that combined multicultural elements by exposing different spaces and cultures such as America and Vietnam. It eclectically expresses the unique cultures and costumes of each country. Fourth, 'Les Miserables' shows the aspect of situational eclecticism, through its use of mixture of situations in various aspects, and in particular, the male and female costumes that blur the boundaries of life, death, and costume, the mixture of people's costume and aristocrat's costume, and the situational elements where the good and evil are contrasted are integrated eclectically to make the story dramatic.

This study was conducted to identify the operation status of Dobong-gu public libraries in order to establish a mid- to long-term development plan for Dobong-gu libraries, and to analyze local residents' perceptions of libraries by factors through user surveys to suggest specific development plans for Dobong-gu libraries. Overall, the satisfaction level of Dobong-gu residents with library services was found to be high, and all libraries were analyzed to be providing high-quality services. From this, the following operational strategies for the mid- to long-term development plan of Dobong-gu public libraries can be derived. First, libraries need to continue to collect and provide books that meet the quantitative and qualitative levels to satisfy the needs of the community and users. Electronic and online materials, including e-books and audiobooks, as well as subject-specific materials should be expanded to provide relevant programs. Second, although Dobong-gu is an aging city, a wide range of age live there, so there is a need to promote communication and understanding between generations and promote integration of the community through a generational empathy program. Third, it is necessary to remodel and improve the space of aging libraries by organizing library facilities and environments into open spaces and creating makerspaces and multicultural spaces for direct experience and practice, reflecting the latest trends in library space organization.
