  • In this paper, we apply the learning of the mobile robot insect augmented reality Digilog Book. In the era of electronic, book written in paper space just have moved to virtual reality space. The virtual reality, constraints spatial and physical, in the real world, it is a technique that enables to experience indirectly situation not experienced directly as user immersive experience type interface. Applied to the learning robot Digilog Book that allows the fusion of paper analog and digital content, using the augmented reality technology, to experience various interactions. Apply critical elements moving, three-dimensional images and animation to enrich the learning, for easier block assembly, designed to grasp more easily rank order between the blocks. Anywhere at any time, is capable of learning of the robot in Digilog Book to be executed by the mobile phone in particular.

  • 'Sportainment' like Golfzon, which combines the elements of sports and entertainment have a lot of potential and development as new business items in the view of overcome many limitations such as time and place in real sports. For ultimately developing baseball simulation game as 'sportainment', this paper as the early stage suggests the system which can analyze pitching and swing. Unlike speed-gun measurement for moving ball, it uses sensor technology to take information of ball speed and movement and reproduces graphic screen based on the information collected from sensors with graphic technology. Hitter's swing and hit-ball can be measured in the similar way. This baseball simulation game is expected to develop as one of successful indoor spotainment businesses such as Golfzon.

  • The purpose of this research is to propose a new method of PSD(Platform Screen Door) ads using animated image for efficiency, based on the theoretical background that moving objects have a stronger visual attractiveness effect than static objects. For this, we analyze the relationship between the screen door and the train, then derive the positional and visual elements which help to create efficient animated images. Based on this analysis, we made an example and applied into 3D program to confirm the implementation process of the animated PSD ads. As the result, the research shows that it is possible to produce a new type of PSD ads that can show dynamic visual effects and can give diversity to the PSD advertising media through the combination of the images using time difference.

  • We have developed a two-dimensional (2-D) magnetotelluric (MT) inversion algorithm, which can include topographic effects in inversion. We use the finite element method (FEM) to incorporate topography into forward calculation. Topography is implemented simply by moving nodes of rectangular elements in z-direction according to the elevation of air-earth interface. In the inversion process, we adopt a spatially variable Lagrangian multiplier algorithm in the smoothness-constrained least-squares inversion. The inversion algorithm developed in this study reconstructs subsurface resistivity structure quite well when topography variation exists. Also, it turns out to be effective in both resolution and stability from a model study and field data application.

Performance Analysis of a $CO_2$ Two-Stage Twin Rotary Compressor ($CO_2$ 2단 트윈 로타리 압축기 성능해석)

  • Analytical investigation on the performance of a two stage twin rotary compressor for $CO_2$ heat pump water heater system has been carried out. A computer simulation program was made based on analytical models for gas compression in control volumes, leakages among neighboring volumes, and dynamics of moving elements of the compressor. Calculated cooling capacity, compressor input, and COP were well compared to those of experiments over the compressor speeds tested. For the operating condition of suction pressure of 3 MPa, and discharge pressure of 9 MPa, and compressor inlet temperature of $35^{\circ}C$, the compressor efficiency was calculated to be 80.2%: volumetric, adiabatic, and mechanical efficiencies were 88.3%, 93.2%, and 92.7%, respectively. For the present compressor model, volumetric and adiabatic efficiencies of the second stage cylinder were lower by about $6{\sim}7%$ than those of the first stage mainly due to the smaller discharge port at the second stage. Parametric study on the discharge port size showed that the compressor performance could be improved by 3.5% just by increasing the discharge port diameter by 20%.

  • A video stream can be represented by a sequence of data points in a multidimensional space. In this paper, we introduce a trend vector that approximates values of data points in a sequence and represents the moving trend of points in the sequence, and present a pattern similarity matching method for data sequences using the trend vector. A sequence is partitioned into multiple segments, each of which is represented by a trend vector. The query processing is based on the comparison of these vectors instead of scanning data elements of entire sequences. Using the trend vector, our method is designed to filter out irrelevant sequences from a database and to find similar sequences with respect to a query. We have performed an extensive experiment on synthetic sequences as well as video streams. Experimental results show that the precision of our method is up to 2.1 times higher and the processing time is up to 45% reduced, compared with an existing method.

  • The earlier animations aimed to express the characters realistically by making the illustrations look like moving and alive. Since then, animations have been influenced by development of media technology, men's changed mentality and evolvement of diverse social phenomena, while influencing them, too. Among them, the computer which emerged first in 1946 has sewed to more diversify the tools for realistic expressions of animations, and further, enhance the intellectual power of expression media only to expand the new visual expressions and thereby, usher in a multi-media video information environment. Moreover, this technology or computer has urged every discipline to disintegrate its conventional order for the post-modernism characterized by polysemous, diversified, obscure and sometimes, mutually contradicting elements, and as a result, animations had to find a new breakthrough in the conventional reality (cognitive and reflective reality). Thus, animations have been real enough to be perceived impromptu and emotionally, faster than the logical cognitive process beyond the simple technological barrier or the screen image processing. With such backgrounds in mind and by defining such a reality as 'sensuous reality', this study aimed to apply Gilles Deleuze's, reality of space to animation films and interpret it.

Analysis of the User's Visual Attention Frequency for UX Design of Online Markets (온라인마켓의 UX설계를 위한 사용자의 주시빈도 분석)

  • When designing the interface of the web site, we must consider what users want and need in the design, because design trends are recently changing from user interface design to user experience design. In this paper, we present the method to apply the user experience design when designing the main page of the web site. We select representative online markets and analyze the information elements which compose the main page. Using the eye tracking method which measure user's visual attention frequency, we compare the main page with the wire-frame and analyze changes of the visual attention frequency over time. As a result of experiments, it is efficient to allocate the important information as the image or the moving image to the center of main page for use's visual attention at the time of designing the main page of the online market.

  • Nodal displacements are referred to the Initial configuration in the total Lagrangian formulation and to the last converged configuration in the updated Lagrangian formulation. This research proposes a relative nodal displacement method to represent the position and orientation for a node in truss structures. Since the proposed method measures the relative nodal displacements relative to its adjacent nodal reference frame, they are still small for a truss structure undergoing large deformations for the small size elements. As a consequence, element formulations developed under the small deformation assumption are still valid fer structures undergoing large deformations, which significantly simplifies the equations of equilibrium. A structural system is represented by a graph to systematically develop the governing equations of equilibrium for general systems. A node and an element are represented by a node and an edge in graph representation, respectively. Closed loops are opened to form a spanning tree by cutting edges. Two computational sequences are defined in the graph representation. One is the forward path sequence that is used to recover the Cartesian nodal displacements from relative nodal displacements and traverses a graph from the base node towards the terminal nodes. The other is the backward path sequence that is used to recover the nodal forces in the relative coordinate system from the known nodal forces in the absolute coordinate system and traverses from the terminal nodes towards the base node. One closed loop structure undergoing large deformations is analyzed to demonstrate the efficiency and validity of the proposed method.

  • The early test can greatly reduce the cost of error correction for system development. It is still important in SOA based service system. However, the existing methods of test case generation for SOA have limitations which are restricted to only web service using XML. Therefore, this paper proposes a method of test case generation using BPMN-based model reduction for service system. For minimizing test effort, an existing BPM is transformed into S-BPM which is composed of basic elements of workflow. The process of test case generation starts with making S-BPM concerning the target service system, and transforms the target service system into directed graph. And then, we generate several service scenarios applying scenario searching algorithm and extract message moving information. Applying this method, we can obtain effective test cases which are even unlimited to web service. This result is the generation of test case which is reflected in the business-driven property of SOA.
