보육교사의 직무스트레스와 이직의도의 관계에서 교직선택동기의 조절효과 (The Relationship between Job Stress and Turnover Intention of Child Care Teachers and the Moderating Role of Motivation for Child Care Work)

  • The purpose of this study was to examine the relationship between job stress, turnover intention, and the moderating roles of motivation for child care work. The subjects were 238 child-care teachers who were worked at child-care centers in Seoul. Questionnaires were used to rate job stress, turnover intention, and the motivation for child care work of teachers. The collected data were mainly analyzed by descriptive statistics, t-test, one-way ANOVA, Duncan test, Pearson's correlation and the multiple regression analysis. The main results of this study were as follows. First, there were differences in turnover intention according to individual characteristics such as career at the current child-care center and total career. Second, job stress was positively correlated with turnover intention, and negatively correlated with active motivation and material motivation. And turnover intention was negatively correlated with active motivation and material motivation. Third, a moderator effect of the active motivation was found in the relationship between the job stress and the turnover intention. Especially the active motivation is suggested to reduce the negative results of job stress and turnover intention. Therefore, the results indicate the importance of the active motivation which is considered as an aptitude, interest, affection for children and self realization when child-care teachers make a decision to enter the child-care work profession.

어린이집의 교사전문성 지원환경이 초임교사의 전문성 인식에 미치는 영향: 직무수행동기의 매개효과를 중심으로 (The Effects of a Professional Learning Environment at a Day Care Center on the Professionalism of Beginning Teachers: Focusing on the Mediating Role of Their Work Task Motivation)

  • Objective: This study aimed to determine the effect of a teacher professional learning environment at workplace day care centers on the professionalism of beginning teachers and also to verify the mediating effects of the beginning teachers'work task motivation on that relationship. Methods: The participants were 129 new teachers currently employed at workplace day care centers. The Current Status for Professional Competence was used to measure the teachers' professionalism. The Professional Learning Environment Inventory assesses the professional learning environment of day care centers. To measure the work task motivation, the Work Tasks Motivation Scale for Teachers was used. Results: Firstly, positive relationships were identified between a professional learning environment and their intrinsic motivation and identified motivation. However, there were also negative relationships between the professional learning environment and their introjected motivation and amotivation. Secondly, this study partially verified the mediating effects of the beginning teachers'work task motivation on the relationship between the professional learning environment and teachers' professionalism. Conclusion/Implications: The relationship between the professional learning environment and the professionalism of beginning teachers was mediated by the teachers'own intrinsic motivations, identified motivations, and amotivation.

초임 보육교사의 교직선택동기와 직업적응의 관계에서 사회적 지원 인식의 매개효과 (The Mediating Effects of Social Support on the Relationship between Motivation for Choosing a Teaching Profession and Work Adjustment of Newly-Appointed Childcare Teachers)

  • Objective: The purpose of this study was to examine whether motivation for choosing a teaching profession and the perception of social support of newly-appointed childcare teachers would predict work adjustment, and to understand the mediating role of the perception of social support. Methods: The data was analyzed by using correlation, regression, and the verification of mediating effects. Results: First, there were significant correlations of active motivation and material motivation when choosing a teaching profession, perception of social support, and work adjustment. Second, active motivation and material motivation in relation to choosing a teaching profession, and the perception of social support, were the variables that could predict the work adjustment of newly-appointed teachers. Third, the social support perceived by newly-appointed teachers had partial-mediating effects on the relationship between active motivation in relation to choosing a teaching profession and work adjustment, as well as on the complete-mediating effects on the relationship between material motivation and work adjustment. Implications: The training institute should strengthen education that could foster active motivation of pre-service teachers, and daycare centers should establish a cooperative workplace culture for the psychological adjustment of newly-appointed teachers.

경력 단절 기혼 여성의 재취업 욕구 관련 요인 (Factors Related to the Desire of Married, "Career-interrupted" Women to be Re-employed)

  • The purpose of the present study was to examine the desire of married women to be re-employed and the factors related to this desire. The study gathered information from 240 women who gave up their jobs and careers after marriage. Information included their career history, current psycho-social condition, and family situation. Multiple regression and covariation structure analyses indicated that the desire of married women to go back to paid work was influenced by family economic condition, psycho-social condition, and child care situation. Specifically, the study found that family's monthly income and the age of the last child were negatively related to the women's desire for re-employment. On the other hand, economic pressure and achievement motivation were positively related to the women's desire. Finally, the study found that socio-economic background and external social support were not significantly related to the women’s wish to go back to the workforce.

가족친화마을만들기를 위한 모델 및 핵심 요소 (A Discussion of the Family-Friendly Village Model and Important Factors)

  • A law facilitating a family-friendly social environment was legislated in December 2007. According to the law, projects for facilitating a family-friendly social environment consisted of a family-friendly working environment, a community environment, and the promotion of a family-friendly culture. There has been much progress in developing a family-friendly working environment through projects such as those advocating for flexible work hours, an employee support system, and child care and a family care support system. However, in terms of a family-friendly community environment project, there was no noticeable advancement. Hence, this study was conducted to find ways to vitalize the family-friendly village project in terms of the family-friendly community environment project. The major findings of this study were as follows: A family-friendly village could be structured on the three axes of time, space, and relation. The model of the family-friendly village project consists of the following three steps: motivation, systematization, and participating & practicing. In the motivation step, integration, community, and sustainability were needed as basic ideologies for a family-friendly village. In the systematization step, providing systematic educational systems for residents taking on leadership and activist roles was stressed. In the participating & practicing step, many ways to facilitate residents' social relationships were suggested: starting the project from matters of common interests, making the resolution of families' problems a communal task of the residents, accepting the opinions of various groups associated with the matter, and taking a differentiated project process according to the geographic, socio-economic, and demographic characteristics of the groups. It is strongly suggested that the family-friendly village should be taken as a common functional scheme in everyone of eight livable village models because a key factor in a family-friendly village, family care, serves an essential function in any livable village model.

어린이집교사의 역할갈등이 일 플로우에 미치는 영향 (The Effects of Role Conflicts on the Work-related Flow of Childcare Teachers)

  • 본 연구에서는 Mihaly Csikszentmihalyi가 제시한 인지적, 정의적, 동기적 차원의 플로우 개념을 바탕으로, 어린이집 교사가 직업적 상황에서 경험하는 일 플로우를 측정하였다. 그리고 일 플로우가 어린이집교사의 역할갈등의 다양한 요인들과 어떠한 관계를 가지는지 분석해 보고자 하였다. 이를 위해 154명의 어린이집 교사들로부터 자료를 수집하였으며, 일 플로우 변수군(몰입, 즐거움, 내재적 동기)과 역할갈등 변수군(교사개인, 유아, 조직구성원, 학부모, 행정 및 업무지원, 장학, 사회적 인식) 간의 관계를 검증하고 각 개별변수들의 상호 영향력을 검증하기 위하여 정준상관분석을 실시하였다. 분석결과, 어린이집교사의 일 플로우와 역할갈등 변수군 간의 관계는 상호교호적인 한편, 일 플로우의 예측변수로서 역할갈등을 설정하는 인과관계모형의 가능성을 확인할 수 있었다. 그리고 어린이집교사의 일 플로우의 변수 중 몰입과 즐거움은 교사개인 및 장학관련 역할갈등과의 상호영향력이 높고, 즐거움은 행정 및 업무지원과 장학관련 역할갈등과의 상호영향력이 높음을 알 수 있었다. 연구결과를 바탕으로 관련 국내 외 연구와의 비교 및 이론적 논의점을 기술하였고, 어린이집교사의 개인적, 조직적 맥락의 다양한 변수를 고려한 플로우 연구의 필요성을 제안하였다.

SWP강화를 위한 교수법 적용에 관한 연구 (A Study on the Application of Teaching Methods for Reinforcing SWP)

  • 본 연구의 목적은 SWP강화를 위한 교수법 개선 및 적용을 통해 교수자들 스스로 수업방식을 채택해보고 가지고 있는 경험과 노하우를 공유해 학습자 특성에 맞는 사회복지현장 실무형 수업방법을 적용하고 개선 방안을 모색하고자 하였다. 연구결과 첫째, 학습자 동기유발 적용 방안으로 복지현장의 유형별 사업 진행 모습 시청(유튜브 동영상), 사회복지현장의 실무자 초대 또는 인터뷰 영상, 복지현장에 진출한 선배와의 만남 등이 필요하다. 둘째, 학습자 참여 방안으로 복지현장에서 진행하는 행사 참여, 복지기관 홈페이지 또는 유튜브에 댓글(선플) 달기, 복지현장 탐방 또는 실무자와의 인터뷰 영상을 편집하여 제출하는 노력이 필요하다. 셋째, 상호작용 적용 방안으로 수업에 앞서 사회복지현장의 이야기를 다룬 기사, 에세이, 사진 등에 대한 소감으로 소통하는 방법과 SNS 토론(e-campus, 카카오톡 등)을 통해 복지현장에서 중요하게 다루어지는 이슈에 대한 토론 등 적용 방안이 필요하다.

기혼 중년 여성의 박사 과정 수행 경험에 관한 내러티브 탐구 (Narrative Inquiry Research on the Experience of Married Middle-aged Women)

  • 본 연구에서는 내러티브 탐구를 통해 5명의 직장을 가진 기혼 중년 여성들의 박사 과정 수행 경험에 관한 어려움과 보람에 대해 탐색하였다. 직장을 가진 기혼 중년 여성들의 대학원 수행은 아내, 어머니, 직장인, 학생 등의 다중 역할이 요구됨으로써 더욱 어려움을 동반한다. 연구자는 박사 과정 수행을 경험한 기혼 중년 여성들의 이야기를 수집하고, 이를 '입문 동기, 박사 과정 수행 중의 어려움, 박사 과정수행 중의 보람'이라는 세 가지 범주로 나누어 기술하였다. 입문 동기는 차별에서 오는 부담감, 내적성장에 대한 갈망, 외적 보상에 대한 열망으로 분류하였고, 어려움은 학문적 성장에 대한 어려움, 학문 외적인 어려움, 보람은 학문적 보람과 학문 외적 보람으로 분류하여 박사 과정 수행 경험이 함의하는 의미와 시사점을 알아보는 것에 의의를 두었다. 이는 박사 과정에 다니는 기혼 중년 여성들을 지원하기 위한 구체적인 자료가 될 수 있을 것으로 기대된다.

보육교사의 외상경험이 조직몰입에 미치는 영향 (The Effect of Childcare Teachers' Traumatic Experience on Teachers' Organizational Commitment)

  • Objective: The purpose of this study is to examine the difference between teachers' traumatic experience and teachers' organizational commitment while considering individual differences of the childcare teachers and to investigate the effect of childcare teachers' traumatic experience on organizational commitment. Methods: This study used an online survey and collected data from 235 respondents. Then the data were analyzed by using a one-way ANOVA test, Scheffe post-hoc analysis, and hierarchical regression analysis. Results: First, this study found that there was a statistically significant difference between the traumatic experience of childcare teachers and teachers' organizational commitment depending on the age and career stage of the childcare teachers. Second, the childcare experience of childcare teachers showed a positive correlation with experience, and the traumatic experience showed a negative correlation with the organizational commitment. Third, childcare teachers' traumatic experience had a negative effect on normative and continuous immersion, respectively. Conclusion/Implications: This study contributes to the literature by recognizing the events that occurred in the process of childcare and identified the cause of the decrease in childcare teachers' motivation to work. It also suggests the need for continuous research on traumatic events that childcare teachers' experience during work in order to protect the rights and interests of childcare teachers.

결혼이주여성의 공적개발원조 사업 참여를 위한 탐색적 연구 (Exploratory Research on Married Immigrant Women's Participation in the Official Development Assistance Programs)

  • The purpose of this study was to explore the possibility of recruiting married immigrant women to participate in the Official Development Assistance (ODA) program. We used focus group interviews to understand their experiences with ODA, their intent to participate in the ODA, and the resources and barriers to ODA participation. The data were collected from 14 married immigrant women who were actively engaged in the labor force in Seoul and Gyunggi areas. Data were analyzed based on the thematic analysis method. Four themes were identified including the women's experiences, motivation, barriers, and resources for ODA participation. Out of the 14 women, three had participated in the ODA and were happy with the experiences. The rest of the women wanted to participate in the ODA that supported their home countries. The results also highlighted that these married immigrant women had capabilities including a strong desire to participate in vocational development and support from their families, but they also had barriers to overcome such as a lack of work capacity, child care burden, and difficulty forming relationships with Korean colleagues. Despite these barriers, they were motivated to participate in the ODA since it would be very meaningful for them to help their home country and to improve awareness of Korea and married immigrant women. It is important to develop vocational education programs for these women to enhance the work skills that are needed in the ODA.
