Performance enhancement using dual port DRAM in Mobile SoC (Mobile SoC에서의 Dual Port DRAM을 사용한 Performance 향상)

  • By using Dual Port DRAM to Multi-media SoC, an improved performance is achieved in this paper. The proposed scheme greatly help the multi-media SoC like a application for full HDTV, and it can be extended to the application field which is needed the low access latency with heavy traffic. Additionally, the proposed scheme help to down the BUM cost of system.

  • 본 논문에서는 이륜 자동 균형 로봇을 제작하는데 초점을 맞추고 있다. 키워드는 아두이노와 PID컨트롤이다. 아두이노를 사용하여 로봇을 전체적으로 제어하였고 PID컨트롤로 로봇이 스스로 균형을 잡을 수 있도록 한다. 두 바퀴를 이용해 넘어지지 않고, 밸런스를 잡을 수 있도록 로봇의 바퀴, 프레임, 스텝모터, 드라이버 등을 구성하였고, 향후 이륜 자동 균형 로봇이 자유롭게 움직일 수 있도록 PID 정밀 제어를 하게 될 것이다.

A Development of a Tool for Event Direction in Mobile Game (모바일 게임의 이벤트 연출을 위한 Tool 개발)

  • Due to the advent of high performance feature-phone and smart-phone, the scale of mobile games and the member of developers are increased rapidly. The production process of mobile games is changing to meet these needs. Tools for efficient program development are produced worldwide, but tool's research for the event direction is inadequate. In the event direction, the game designers play more important roles than programmers. In this paper, we develop the mobile game event direction tool for game designers. And we make the events of the released mobile games to test the efficiency and usefulness of tool that we developed. The result shows that the performance is enhanced about 15% in development period.

Mobile Internet News Consumption: An Analysis of News Preferences and News Values

  • Internet news consumption is rapidly growing in Korea, and majority of that is being done through Naver, Korea's primary search engine. Naver is also the go-to search engine for smartphone use. This study analyzed 824 most popular news accessed via mobile gears; the news items were selected from Naver's 'Daily Top 10 Stories,' dating from March 2016 to December 2016. The results indicate that entertainment news were the most viewed, while political and social issue news were the most liked and commented by mobile users. With regard to news value, 'prominence' and 'impact' were the two most important factors that influenced a user's news selection process in a mobile environment. The degree of a news' 'prominence' was the most important factor that determined the number of views, while 'impact' was critical to determining "the most commented-upon" and "the most liked" news. The results also indicate that mobile news consumers prefer more dramatic storylines and events that incite public anger or grief, threaten the safety of citizens, or evoke emotional sympathy rather than 'hard news' about such subjects as politics and economics.

Understanding Perceived Enjoyment, Perceived Risk, and Intention to Use Mobile Multi-Media Service Based on Smart Phones (스마트폰 기반 멀티미디어서비스에 있어서 지각된 즐거움과 지각된 위험이 수용의도에 미치는 영향)

  • Recently, due to the proliferation of smartphones, users of mobile multimedia services which are based on wireless internet without constraint of the time and places are significantly increased. In this study, considering the characteristics of mobile multimedia and the user behavior, we analyse the factors which have an effect on the behavioral intention to use the mobile multimedia services. For this purpose, we use the model which is based on Technology Accepted Model (TAM) and add two constructs; the perceived enjoyment and the perceived risk. A survey data for 280 students at the K cyber university is used for statistical analysis As a result, the perceived ease of use affects the perceived usefulness and the perceived enjoyment, and the perceived ease of use. And the perceived usefulness and perceived enjoyment affect continuous intention to use. On the other hand, the hypothesis which the perceived risk would affect adversely the continuous intention to use is rejected. Through this study, we expect to provide the useful implications for the mobile multimedia services and contribute to the development of strategy for them.

A Super-Peer Coordination Scheme for Decentralized Peer-to-Peer Networking Using Mobile Agents

  • Peer-to-Peer(P2P) systems are generally classified into two categories; hybrid and pure P2P. Hybrid systems have a single central index server keeping the details of shared information, so that undesirable effects such as heavy load on that server and lack of fault-tolerance can be caused. Pure P2P causes the other problems such as message flooding and scalability although it shows high degree of fault-tolerance. Recently, mobile agent-based distributed computing has been receiving wide attention for its potential to support disconnected operations, high asynchrony, and thus saving network bandwidth. In this paper, a new scheme of peer coordination is proposed for a decentralized P2P network with self-organizing structure. We deployed mobile agents for incorporating the advantages of usage of mobile agents into our P2P network. Proposed P2P network has both advantages of hybrid and pure P2P. The problems of heavy load on the server and lack of fault-tolerance are improved by using multiple special peers called super-peers. And the problems of pure P2P can be reduced by using mobile agents.

On-Demand Power-Efficient QoS Routing Algorithm over Mobile Ad Hoc Networks (MANET에서의 온-디멘드 방식의 전력 효율적인 QoS 라우팅 알고리즘)

  • This paper presents MAPER, a media-aware power efficient routing algorithm over mobile ad hoc networks. Generally, multimedia services need various quality of service over the network according to their characteristics and applications. But it is not easy to guarantee quality of service over mobile ad hoc networks since the resources are very limited and time-varying. Furthermore only a limited power is available at mobile nodes, which makes the problem more challenging. Now, we propose an effective routing algorithm over mobile ad hoc networks that provides the stable end-to-end quality of service with the minimum total power consumption. Finally, experimental results are provided to show the performance of the proposed algorithm.
