We consider Weierstrass functions and divisor functions arising from $q$-series. Using these we can obtain new identities for divisor functions. Farkas [3] provided a relation between the sums of divisors satisfying congruence conditions and the sums of numbers of divisors satisfying congruence conditions. In the proof he took logarithmic derivative to theta functions and used the heat equation. In this note, however, we obtain a similar result by differentiating further. For any $n{\geq}1$, we have $$k{\cdot}{\tau}_{2;k,l}(n)=2n{\cdot}E_{\frac{k-l}{2}}(n;k)+l{\cdot}{\tau}_{1;k,l}(n)+2k{\cdot}{\sum_{j=1}^{n-1}}E_{\frac{k-1}{2}(j;k){\tau}_{1;k,l}(n-j)$$. Finally, we shall give a table for $E_1(N;3)$, ${\sigma}(N)$, ${\tau}_{1;3,1}(N)$ and ${\tau}_{2;3,1}(N)$ ($1{\leq}N{\leq}50$) and state simulation results for them.

This paper considers a facility location problem, which is concerned with locating facilities on a supply chain network and installing the associated equipments at the facilities to meet a given set of demands. The objective function is to minimize the sum of setup cost (facility opening cost and equipment installation cost), operation cost, and distribution cost. For the equipments, various choices of equipment modes need to be determined. Moreover, in the problem, overwork is allowed each facility but at expensive operation cost. The proposed problem is characterized as being NP-hard problem, so that a heuristic algorithm is derived. In order to evaluate the performance of the proposed algorithm, computational experiments with various numerical instances are conducted.

This paper presents a $H_{\infty}$ robust controller with parameter estimation in polynomial approach. For good performance of a uncertain system, the parameters are estimated by RLS algorithm. The controller minimizes the sum of $H_{\infty}$ norm between sensitivity function and complementary sensitivity function by employing the Youla parameterization and polynomial approach at the same time. A numerical example and its simulation results are given to show the validity of the proposed controller.

This paper proposes a robust FPID(Fuzzy Proportional Integral Derivative) controller for the LFC(load frequency control) of 2-area power system. The PID gain parameters of the proposed robust FPID controller are self-tuned by PSGM(Product Sum Gravity Method) which is very similiar to human's inference procedures. As the results of simulation, the proposed FPID controller against various load disturbances shows that it is superior to the conventional control techniques such as optimal, PID and fuzzy control in the response characteristics of frequency and tie line power flow.

A L-Band microwave radiometer for remote sensing of sea and river surface salinity has been developed. The processes of the design and implementation of the microwave radiometer, and the experiment results are presented in this paper. The developed L-Band microwave radiometer was field-tested in Sum-Jin River. The initial results shows that the microwave radiometer measures the sea and river surface salinity with the sensitivity of 1.5psu successfully.

In this paper, we propose the building method for the unified IoT service platform between the variety of legacy systems with the heterogeneous structures and the operating environments. To accommodate the structural diversity of legacy systems, we develop a virtual integrated structure and interface abstracting method. By this, the new platform can use the data sources of the legacy systems as if the data source is in the new platform. In a manner without modification of the legacy systems with performing minimum tasks, we proposes a model that can be integrated without affecting the availabilities of the legacy systems.

In this study we present basic principles and features of RVI2CELL, a precise RV (radial velocity) estimation program to process stellar spectra obtained through iodine cell. RVI2CELL is very robust and fast program. The instrument profile can be modeled as a sum of Gaussian functions or a non-parametric arbitrary shape. The RV accuracy estimated by observation of a RV standard star Tau Ceti indicates about 9 m/s.

We propose a speech waveform forgery detection algorithm based on the flatness of frequency distribution. We devise a new measure of flatness which emphasizes the local change of the frequency distribution. Our measure calculates the sum of the differences between the energies of neighboring frequency bands. We compare the proposed measure with conventional flatness measures using a set of a large amount of test sounds. We also compare- the proposed method with conventional detection algorithms based on spectral distances. The results show that the proposed method gives lower equal error rate for the test set compared to the conventional methods.

This paper reports the theoretical model and the experimental results regarding to the electrical conductivity of hydrogenated amorphous silicon (a-Si:H). The total effective conductance of a-Si:H with a planar structure has been considered as the sum of the conductance of an adsorbate-induced layer, a surface-interface layer, a bulk layer, and a substrate-interface layer. In order to investigate the effects of space charge layers in a-Si:H on the conductivity, the thickness dependence of the conductivity is characterized and the conductivities measured at the upper electrodes deposited on a-Si:H are compared with those measured at the lower electrodes deposited on the glass substrate. From our analysis, the bulk conductivity and the thickness of the space charge layer in a-Si:H are characterized quantitatively.

This paper presents the method to reduce the order of high-order linear time invarient system via Walsh function. It is based on the matrix pseudoinverse algorithm to determine the parameters of the reduced model which minimize the sum of the squares of the errors between the reponses of the high-order system and a reduced model to a given input. This proposed method can be conveniently implemented with a computer. They will be very useful in the study of control system via Walsh function.
