Objectives: The purpose of this study was to understand the effect of positive psychological capital on job satisfaction and job performance for dental hygienists. Methods: A survey was conducted from August to October 2020 among dental hygienists from a dental clinic in Busan, South Korea, and a total of 162 valid responses were analyzed. The statistical tool used for analysis was SPSS 25.0 (IBM Crop, Armonk, USA) and the significance level was 0.05. Results: The results of this study showed the relationships between job satisfaction with positive psychological capital (r=0.85, p<0.01), as well as job performance with positive psychological capital (r=0.88, p<0.01). There was a positive correlation between positive psychological capital and job satisfaction (r=0.85, p<0.01); and the contributing factors for the same were hope (p<0.05) and optimism (p<0.001). Further, positive psychological capital and job performance were positively correlated (r=0.88, p<0.01); the influencing factors for the same were hope (p<0.01), dynamic stability (p<0.05), and optimism (p<0.001). Conclusions: It is necessary to develop various intervention programs and strategies to strengthen the positive psychological capital in dental hygienists since it affects their job satisfaction and job performance.
This descriptive survey study identified the factors influencing the abiliy of healthcare perceived by high school students. The survey was conducted from May 7, 2020, to Sep. 17, 2020 for 119 high school students in City D. SPSS WIN 22.0 program was used to for t-test and one-way ANOVA with Pearson's correlation coefficients and hierarchical regression analysis. The ability of healthcare perceived by high school students had a static correlation with the sub-domains of family function, that is, family cohesion(r=.65, p<.001) and family adaptability(r=.54, p<.001). For male students(β=.17, p=.012), those who reported a high level of perceived health status showed a high level of ability of healthcare(β=.25, p<.001). Significant influencing factors on high school students' health management ability were identified as gender (β=.17), their own health status perception (β=.23), and family cohesion (β=.45), and the explanatory power of the model was 50%. appear. Further research is hereby suggested for validation of the mediating role and effects of health care education programs to improve the family function perceived by high school students, encourage their practicing of health care management and help them to enter into healthy adulthood.
In this study, we analyzed the three dimensional variations (latitude, longitude, and height of Jet core) and wind speed of upper Jet stream in the East Asian region using recent 35 years (1979~2013) of four reanalysis data (NCEP-R2, MERRA, ERA-Interim. and JRA-55). Most of Jet core is located in $30.0{\sim}37.5^{\circ}N$ and $13.0{\sim}157.5^{\circ}E$ although there are slight differences among the four reanalysis data. The wind speed differences among reanalysis are about $3m\;s^{-1}$ regardless of seasons, the weakest in NCEP-R2 and the strongest in JRA-55. Although significance level is not high, most of reanalysis showed that the Jet core has a tendency of southward moving during spring and winter, but moving northward during summer and fall. This amplified seasonal variation of Jet core suggests that seasonal variations of weather/climate can be increased in the East Asian region. The longitude of Jet core has a tendency of systematically westward moving and decreasing of zonal variations regardless of averaging methods and reanalysis data. In general, the Jet core shows a tendency of moving south-west-ward and upward, getting intensified during spring and winter regardless of the reanalysis data. However, the Jet core shows a tendency of moving westward and downward, and getting weakened during summer. In fall, there were no distinctive trends not only in wind speed but also three dimensional locations compared to other seasons. Although the significance levels are not high and variation patterns are slightly different according to the reanalysis data, our findings are more or less different from the previous results. So, more works are needed to clarify the three dimensional variation patterns of Jet core over the East Asian region as a result of global warming.

Objectives : The objective of this study was to investigate the relationship between restricted, repetitive behaviors and interests (RRBI) and autistic symptoms in Korean high functioning autism spectrum disorder (ASD) children and to examine the structure of RRBI. Methods : Participants included 147 high functioning ASD subjects and 181 unaffected siblings. ASD subjects were divided into two groups based on the presence of RRBI. The domain scores of the Korean version of Autism Diagnostic Interview-Revised (K-ADI-R), Korean version of Asperger Syndrome Diagnostic Scale and total scores of Korean translated version of Social Responsiveness Scale, Korean version of Social Communication Scale were used for comparison of ASD symptoms between the groups. Eleven items from the RRBI domain of the K-ADI-R were used in principal axis factor analysis (PAF). Results : A statistically lower nonverbal IQ score was observed for ASD with RRBI than for ASD without RRBIs, and more social deficit, communication deficit, and behavioral and emotional problems were observed for ASD with RRBI compared to ASD without RRBI. Using PAF, two distinct factors were identified. 'Resistance to trivial changes in environment', 'Difficulty with minor changes in personal routine & environment', and 'Compulsion/ritual' were included as one factor. Conclusion : Analysis of the data suggests that the presence of RRBI in high functioning ASD is associated with a more severe presentation of autistic disorder. In addition, there appears to be heterogeneity within RRBI in autism except insistence on sameness.
The fractions extracted with methylene chloride from colored rice seeds of 19 cultivars were prepared to examine the correlationties of both antimutagenicity and antioxidiativity with physiological functionalities. The data revealed a positive correlation of the antimutagenicity with the content of $(3.{\beta},22Z)-Acetate-stigmasta-5,22-dien-3-ol$, 24-Oxocholesterol acetate, 6(E),8(E)-Heptadiene, and Eicosane. For antioxidativity, electron donating ability to DPPH radicals exhibited a positive correlation with the content of (24R,25S)-Aplysterylacetate, however, negative correlations were found between scavenging activity toward hydroxyl radicals and the content of either Tetradecanoic acid or Methyl ester-hexadecanoic acid, $(3.{\beta},24S)-Stigmast-5-en-3-ol$, respectively. In addition, a positive correlation was detected between the inhibitory effect of the fractions and the content of $(3.{\beta},24S)-Stigmast-5-en-3-ol$, however, a negative correlation with the content of 3',3'-Dimethylspiro [acridane-9,1'-indane], $(3.{\beta})-24-Methylene-9,19-cyclolanostan-3-ol$, and some other compounds was observed, respectively.
This study was done to examine interpersonal relations, professional self-concept and hope in single female nurses. A survey using a structured questionnaire was conducted with 219 nurses who work in one of six general hospitals in the large cities. The data were collected from August 17, 2012 to September 14, 2012. Collected data were analyzed using t-test, One way ANOVA, Pearson's Correlation Coefficient, Hierarchical Regression Analysis with using SPSS Windows 25.0. There was a significant difference in interpersonal relations, professional self-concept and hope according to participants' characteristics. Participants' interpersonal relations, professional self-concept and hope were all found to have statistically significant correlations (r=.26-.45, p<.001). Participants' general characteristics, interpersonal relations, and professional self-concept explained 26.4% of variance in hope levels. Findings from this study should be useful in the development of programs to promote participants' hope with interpersonal relations and professional self-concept.
The purpose of this study was to help decrease turnover and to make full use of dental hygienists and to help improve management by managers. After relevant literature and data were reviewed, a survey was conducted on dental hygienists, who worked at dental institutes in different areas, for about four months from September through December, 2004, to find out their turnover intention and job satisfaction level. When the collected data were analyzed, the following findings were given: 1. The collective average of the dental hygienists investigated in job satisfaction was $3.30{\pm}0.70$. By area, they expressed the best satisfaction at a clear role factors with a mean of $3.53{\pm}0.73$, and they were pleased with wages factors and promotion factors the least with an average of $3.14{\pm}0.70$ and $3.18{\pm}0.80$. 2. The collective average of the dental hygienists investigated in turnover intention was $3.23{\pm}0.77$. As for connections between general characteristics and turnover intention, By age, those who aged in 21 and 25 were most intended(p < 0.001). The unmarried dental hygienists were more intended than the married ones(p < 0.001). By type of hospital, those who worked at dental clinics were most intended(p< 0.01). By career, those who had worked at one to three years were intended the most(p < 0.001), and as to the length of service at current work places, those who had worked at their current work places for one to three years were intended the most(p < 0.001). By monthly mean pay, those whose pay ranged from 1.3 to 1.6 million won found their turnover most intended(p< 0.01). 3. Regarding correlation among turnover intention and job satisfaction were both inversed correlationship, and wages factor(r = -0.249, p < 0.01) and interrelationship factors(r = -0.218, p < 0.01) had a strong correlation to turnover intention, and clear role factors had a strong correlation to job contents factors by job satisfaction(r = 0.612, p < 0.01), and job satisfaction factors had a strong correlation to job contents factors(r = 0.759, p < 0.01).

Purpose : Surveying the rates, severity, and variables influencing depression and their correlation between pain and depression in Korean cancer patients, we attempted to provide a basic database for the effective depression management program. Methods : The results of survey were colleted from 10 patients who were hospitalized at Seoul National University Hospital for cancer treatment from February to June of 1999. Factors of depression and the level of pain were examined by self-reported survey employing Korean version of Beck Depression Inventory(BDI) and an abridged version of Brief pain Inventory respectively. The purpose of this study and guidelines for the questionnaires were clearly explained to participating patients by Resgitered Nurses before answering the survey. Demographic and clinical characteristics of patients were compiled by reviewing their medical records in corporation with a family physician. The difference in the level of depression among patient groups was analyzed with the t-test and ANOVA, and the correlation between variables with Pearson correlation coefficient. Results : 1) 142 subjects comprised 79 male and 63 female, and their mean age was 51.86. 2) The mean scores of the worst pain for last 24-hours was 6.08(SD 2.23), the average pain for last 24-hours 4.44(SD 1.85), and the mean scores of pain at the time of survey 3.48(SD 2.25), while the mean scores of the least pain for last 24-hours 2.25(SD 1.83). 3) The mean BDI scores were 23.73(SD 0.99), and 55.6% of patients were evaluated to be in depression(cutting point 21). Scores of depression for cancer patients were higher than normal population. 4) The correlation between worst pain for last 24-hours and depression(r=0.252, P=0.002), average pain for last 24-hours and depression(r=0.225, P=0.007), present pain and depression(r=0.291, P=0.000) were significant. 5) Significant differences were found among groups of cancer patients with pain with respect to gender(t=3.59, p=0.000), level of education(F=4.063, P=0.009), ECOG(F=3.352, P=0.021). There was significant positive correlation between depression and pain(r=0.171, P=0.042). Conclusions : More than 50% of cancer patients with pain are suffering from depression. We have shown that the variables like the degree of pain, gender, level of education, ECOG, and age are significantly related to the depression in cancer patients. The findings of this study may be used for assessing high-risk patients in need of intervention and for planning effective therapeutic strategies for them after the routine assessment. Further study is necessary to investigate the cultural differences and the variables influencing on depression in Korean cancer patients.

Legumes are good sources of various nutrients. Among legumes, soybean and its flour are accessible foods to consumers. However, in case of soybean flour, there is a disadvantage of easily going rancid. Thus, this study aimed to investigate how the quality of soybean flour changes during storage according to the packaging materials and storage temperatures. The raw and roasted soybean flours were packed in two types of packaging, polyethylene (PE) and polypropylene (PP) film bags respectively, and stored at three different storage temperatures (4, 20, and $45^{\circ}C$) for 1 year. The acid value, conjugated diene value, peroxide value, p-anisidine value, thiobarbituric acid (TBA) value, lipoxygenase activity, and fatty acid content of raw and roasted soybean flours were measured at the point of starting storing, and after 1, 2, 4, 8, and 12 weeks of storage. The acid value of soybean flour was increased for 4 weeks and thereafter significantly decreased (p < 0.0001). The conjugated diene value was significantly increased after 4 weeks storage at $45^{\circ}C$ with PE and PP film bags (p < 0.0001). The peroxide value had no changes during 4 weeks storage at $45^{\circ}C$ with PE and PP film bags, and then those was dramatically increased after 8 weeks (p < 0.0001). The p-anisidine values in all of storage conditions were decreased after 4 weeks. Lipoxygenase activity was decreased at 12 weeks storage at $20^{\circ}C$ and $45^{\circ}C$ with PP film bags. Acid value had positive correlations with p-anisidine value (r = 0.30 and p < 0.0001) and lipoxygenase activity (r = 0.36 and p < 0.0001), and had negative correlations with conjugated diene value (r = -0.45 and p < 0.0001) and peroxide value (r = -0.25 and p < 0.001). Conjugated diene value had a high positive correlation with peroxide value (r = 0.76 and p < 0.0001), but that had a negative correlation with lipoxygenase activity (r = -0.51 and p < 0.0001). Peroxide value had negative correlations with p-anisidine value (r = -0.20 and p < 0.01) and TBA value (r = -0.15 and p < 0.05). The degree of reduction in fatty acid content of raw soybean flour was higher than the roasted soybean flour during the storage. Total fatty acid content had positive correlations with acid value (r = 0.45 and p < 0.0001) and p-anisidine value (r = 0.58 and p < 0.0001), but had a weak negative correlation with conjugated diene value (r = -0.19 and p < 0.01). This study showed how the rancidity of the raw and roasted soybean flours progressed during storage. Thus, our findings can be used as base data to do a further study of finding and developing more stable storage conditions of the soybean flour.

To investigate pre-salting conditions in the preparation of salted anchovy from large anchovy, anchovy were salted with various salt concentration and stored at $5^{\circ}C$ and $20^{\circ}C$ for 10 days. Moisture content decreased with the increase of salt and the salinity increased in proportion to salt concentration at $20^{\circ}C$. Total nitrogen decreased slightly as the increase of salt concentration during pre-salting at $20^{\circ}C$. The nitrogenous components such as amino nitrogen and extractable nitrogen were invariable or decreased until 7 days in salt concentration over $25\%$ during pre-salting at $5^{\circ}C$. These results imply that soluble nitrogen with moisture run out of anchovy body in high salt concentration and the hydrolysis was inhibited by salt over $25\%$ at $5^{\circ}C$. VBN content were constant in salt concentration over $25\%$ until 7 days, regardless of curing temperature. The POV were under the influence of salt concentration and temperatures. We concluded that the optimal condition for preparation of salted anchovy were pre-salting with salt over $25\%$ at $5^{\circ}C$ for 7 days.
