Effect of Exercise Type and Intensity on Insulin Resistance and Cardiovascular Disease Risk Factors in Obese Middle Aged Women (운동 형태와 강도의 차이가 중년비만여성의 인슐린 저항성 및 심혈관질환 위험요인에 미치는 영향)

  • This study examined the effects of exercise intensity and type on insulin resistance, cardiovascular disease risk factors, and exercise time. Obese thirty-two subjects (>body fat 30%) were randomly assigned one of four experimental groups: VO2 max 50% aerobic exercise group (MAE, n=8), VO2 max 80% aerobic exercise group (VAE, n=8), VO2 max 50% + resistance exercise group (MARE, n=8), and VO2 max 80% + resistance exercise group (VARE, n=8). Body fat significantly decreased in all groups and insulin resistance decreased significantly in MARE and VARE (p<.05 & p<.01) after exercise. CRP and IL-6 were slightly reduced after exercise, although these did not reach statistical significance, whereas the IL-6 level of the VAE group decreased significantly (p<.05). TNF-${\alpha}$ significantly decreased in the MAE group (p<.05) but significantly increased in the VARE group after exercise (p<.05). For exercise time, higher intensity exercise groups were significantly less than the lower intensity exercise groups (p<.001). These results suggest that body fat is affected by all kinds of exercise intensity and type while CRP is not. Insulin resistance and TNF-${\alpha}$ were affected by exercise type, whereas IL-6, TNF-${\alpha}$, and exercise time were affected by exercise intensity.

  • 일라이트-스멕타이트 혼합층광물(I-S)은 열역학적으로 상호 대립적인 두 가지 모델로 이해되고 있다. 첫째, MacEwan 결정자 모델은 I-S를 5-20개의 스멕타이트와 일라이트 층으로 구성된 결정자로 해석한다. 이러한 모델은 분산과 재응집 과정을 기초로 하는 X-선 회절분석(XRD)에서 기인한 것으로 Reynolds의 XRD 모델과 동일하다. 둘째, 기본입자 모델은 I-S를 물리적으로 분리될 수 있는 최소 입자인 기본입자가 $c^{*-}$축 방향으로 응집된 응집체로 해석한다. 이러한 모델은 분산 과정을 기초로 하는 주사전자현미경(TEM) 관찰에서 기인한 모델이다. 강일모 등(2002)은 이 두 가지 모델을 비교함으로써 1< $N_{F}$<100/% $S_{XRD}$ ( $N_{F}$=평균 기본입자 층개수, %$S_{XRD}$=XRD 분석을 통하여 측정된 팽창성)을 도출하였다. 이 식은 기본입자모델과 Eberl & Srodon(1988)이 제시한 최대 팽창성(%$S_{MAX}$)을 동시에 해석할 수 있게 해준다. %$S_{MAX}$는 XRD 모델에서는 고려하지 않는 I-S 결정자 상$\cdot$하부에 존재하는 두 개의 0.5nm 규산염층을 하나의 스멕타이트 층으로 간주하여 얻어진 팽창성이다. Srodon et al.(1992)은 %$S_{MAX}$=100/ $N_{F}$을 제시하였으며, 강일모 등(2002)은 %$S_{MAX}$는 기하학적으로 기본입자가 무한적층을 하였을 때 관찰되는 %$S_{XRD}$와 동일함을 밝힌 바 있다. 만약, XRD 분석을 위한 시료 준비과정에서 I-S 결정자가 분산되었다가 재응집을 한다면, XRD에서 관찰되는 결과는 일차적으로 기본입자의 적층성에 영향을 받게 된다. 따라서, 기본 입자의 적층성은 XRD 분석을 이용하여 I-S 구조를 해석하는데 매우 중요한 요인이다. 본 연구는 기본입자의 적층성을 정량화하기 위해 %$S_{XRD}$=A/ $N_{F}$ (0$S_{MAX}$=100/ $N_{F}$로부터 얼마나 벗어나 있는가는 지시해 준다 금성산화산암복합체에서 산출되는 11개 I-S 시료와 14개의 Drits et al.(1998) 자료로부터 1nA=-0.14 $N_{F}$+4.7의 실험식을 도출할 수 있었으며, 기본입자의 적층성은 일차적으로 기본입자의 두께에 의해 영향을 받는 것으로 관찰되었다. Nadeau(1985)는 기본입자두께분포로부터 I-S 결정자의 팽창성을 측정하기 위하여 Ps=$\Sigma$p(N)/N을 제시하였다(Ps=스멕타이트 층 비율, N=기본 입자 층개수, p(N)=N의 확율). 그러나 위식은 실질적으로 %$S_{MAX}$를 제공해주기 때문에 %$S_{XRD}$를 유추하는데는 부적합하다. 본 연구는 이를 변형하여 Ps=$\Sigma$p(N)A(N)/N을 제시하였다(A(N)=N에 대한 A값). 위의 실험식을 사용하여 헝가리산 Zempleni 시료(15%$S_{XRD}$)의 기본입자분포로부터 %$S_{XRD}$를 계산한 결과, 16%$S_{XRD}$의 결과값을 얻을 수 있었다. 따라서, 본 연구에서 도출한 관계식들이 유효함을 확인할 수 있었다.계식들이 유효함을 확인할 수 있었다.

  • Using the results of the expected busy periods for the dyadic Min(N, D) and Max(N, D) operating policies in a controllable M/G/1 queueing model, an important relation between them is derived. The derived relation represents the complementary property between two operating policies. This implies that it could be possible to obtained desired system characteristics for one of the two operating policies from the corresponding known system characteristics for the other policy. Then, upper and lower bounds of expected busy periods for both dyadic operating policies are also derived.

  • This study investigated on the adsorption of nonpoint pollution source using the Sand, hydroxyapatite(HAP), Zeolite and mixed culture. The adsorption of nonpoint pollution source on Sand, hydroxyapatite(HAP), Zeolite and mixed culture was investigated during a series of batch adsorption experiments. After the batch absorption experiments analysed COD, T-N, T-P on adsorption water. The experimental data was analysed using the pseudo-first-order adsorption kinetic models. Langmuir and Freundlich isotherm models were tested for their applicability. The maximum adsorbed amount $(Q_{max})$ of COD were found to be sand 0.0511mg/g, HAP 0.1905mg/g, Zeolite 1.0366mg/g and Mixed media 0.7444mg/g. The maximum adsorbed amount $(Q_{max})$ of T-N were found to be sand 0.0159mg/g, HAP 0.0537mg/g, Zeolite 0.5496mg/g and Mixed media 0.1374mg/g. The maximum adsorbed amount $(Q_{max})$ of T-P were found to be sand 0.0202mg/g, HAP 0.1342mg/g, Zeolite 0.0462mg/g and Mixed media 0.1180mg/g. As a result, the mixed media was effective to remove nonpoint pollution source.

  • In this paper, for any two bipartite ordered sets P and Q, we define the convolution P * Q of P and Q. For dim(P)=s and dim(Q)=t, we prove that s+t-(U+V)-2 dim(P*Q) s+t-(U+V)+2, where U+V is the max-mn integer of the certain realizers. In particular, we also prove that dim(P)=n+k- {{{{ { n+k} over {3 } }}}} for 2 k n<2k and dim(Pn ,k)=n for n 2k, where Pn,k=Sn*Sk is the convolution of two standard ordered sets Sn and Sk.

  • We consider a nonpreemptive single-machine scheduling problem to minimize the mean squared deviation(MSD) of job completion times about a common due date d with a maximum tardiness constraint, i.e., maximum tardiness is less than or equal to the given allowable amount, .DELTA.(MSD/T$_{max}$ problem). We classify the .DELTA.-unconstrained cases in the MSD/T$_{max}$ problem. We provide bounds to discern each case for the problem. It is also shown that the .DELTA.-unconstrained MSD/T$_{max}$ problem is equivalent to the unconstrained MSD problem and the tightly .DELTA.-constrained MSD/T$_{max}$ problem with n jobs and a maximum allowable tardiness .DELTA. can be converted into the constrained MSD problem with a common due date .DELTA. and n-1 jobs. Finally, the solution procedure for MSD/T$_{max}$ problem is provided. provided.

  • The maximal column rank of an m by n matrix A over max algebra is the maximal number of the columns of A which are linearly independent. We compare the maximal column rank with rank of matrices over max algebra. We also characterize the linear operators which preserve the maximal column rank of matrices over max algebra.

Exploitation of the biologically active components in Youngia sonchifolia Max (고들빼기 생리활성물질의 검색)

  • Yongia sonchifolia Max. has been used as raw materials of traditional Kimchi and medicinal herb in Korea. This study was performed to investigate biologically active components in the plant. First, the writer carried out the experiment of antitumor screening test against Sarcoma-180A and the cytotoxic activity against Chinese hamster V-79 cells with methanol extract of the plant. And the aqueous solution of the extract from roots of Youngia sonchifolia Max. was partitioned into n-hexane. The concentrated extract of n-hexane layer was chromatographed on silica gel column and developed with n-hexane and ethylacetate. Two yellow elutes, on concentration, were recrystallized from ethylacetate, and the $R_f$ value of TLC of the crystal was 0.43. After analysis by $^{1}H-NMR$, $^{13}C-NMR$ and MS to confirm the structure, the author could identify the compound as bauerenyl acetate, a naturally occurring pentacyclic triterpene. The crystal was colorless plate and m.p. was $280{\sim}282^{\circ}C$.

Design of a Highly Integrated Palette-type High Power Amplifier Module Using GaN Devices for DPD Application (질화갈륨 소자를 이용한 DPD용 고집적 팔렛트형 고출력증폭기 모듈 설계)

  • This paper describes the design of a palette-type 60watt high power amplifier module using gallium nitride(GaN) devices with high power and efficiency performances for WiMAX and LTE systems. The line-up for the high gain amplifier module consists of the pre-amplifier stage with low power and high gain, 8watt GaN driving amplifier stage, and 60watt GaN high power amplifier stage of Doherty structure with two 30watt GaN devices. The obtained gain is 61.4dB with an excellent gain flatness of ${\pm}$0.075dB over 2.5~2.68GHz. GaN devices and the Doherty structure are adopted for the improvement of high efficiency and output power. The measurement for the fabricated high power amplifier module of palette type is performed using the widely known WiMAX signal all over the world. In the example of RRH(remote radio head) application of the fabricated amplifier module, the measured efficiency is 37~38% with the 10watts of modulated output power. It is shown that when the fabricated amplifier module is activated with a digital predistorter(DPD), the measured ACLR is better than 46dBc under the 10watts of modulated output power.

  • In this paper we find a suitable bound for the number of commutators which is required to express every element of the derived group of a solvable group satisfying the maximal condition for normal subgroups. The precise formulas for expressing every element of the derived group to the minimal number of commutators are given.
