한국과 해외 우수 제조기업의 공급사슬 통합 현황에 대한 탐색적 고찰 : 자동차, 전자, 기계산업을 중심으로 (An Exploratory Comparison of Supply Chain Integration Practices of Korean and International Manufacturing Plants in Automotive, Electronics, and Machinery Industries)

  • This study compares supply chain integration practices of high performing manufacturing plants in Korea and those in the U.S., Japan, and six European countries. Data were drawn from the High Performance Manufacturing(HPM) Round 3, a joint data-collection effort on manufacturing and supply chain management. Specifically, in the automotive, electronics, and machinery industries, we selected twenty Korean plants with high performance reputation and chose the same number of non-Korean plants(HPM top 20), based upon their competitive manufacturing capability index and customer satisfaction index. The Korean plants do not significantly differ from HPM top 20 plants in that internal value creation activities are coordinated and integrated at the corporate level and between plants. The Korean plants, however, demonstrated more integration with suppliers than with customers, and only the two of them were classified as 'outward facing', which pursues greater integration with both customers and suppliers. Unbalanced and lower integration with customers of the Korean plants was attributed to the lower than expected manufacturing capability and customer satisfaction. Implications for supply chain professionals were discussed.

  • For the development of an all composite unmanned aerial vehicle (UAV), manufacturing consideration in design phase, works for composite parts fabrication, subassembly and final assembly are summarized. In design phase, to maximize the advantage of composite material, manufacturing processes such as cocuring, cobonding and secondary bonding are introduced. For the curing of designed parts, composite tools are designed and manufactured. Assembly jigs are designed to satisfy dimensional tolerance of the structure. Inspection criteria are established and applied to the manufacturing. Technical data about inspection items and methods are summarized as manufacturing specifications for the mass production of the UAV structure.

부산시 근교의 공업입지와 지역적 연계 (Manufacturing Location and Linkages in the Suburb of Metropolitan Pusan)

  • 부산시의 교외지역(김해시, 양산군)에 입지한 공업의 공간변화, 입지, 연계의 분석을 통하여 부산시 공업의 분산이 교외지역의 공업화에 미친 영향, 분산공업의 입지 및 연계 특성을 규명하였다. 부산시의 소규모 단일기업의 이전으로 인하여 1970년대 후반부터 본격적으로 진행된 교외지역의 공업화는 공업분포지역의 확산과 공업집적도의 증대 과정을 거치면서 주로 교통로를 따라 외향적으로 진행되었다. 부산시로부터 공업이 분산한 주요 요인은 기업정책과 용지이고 분산된 공업이 교외에 흡인된 주요 요인은 용지, 제품출하처, 교통이다. 이전 후 물자 운송, 노동력의 이동, 거래처와 접촉 때문에 기업의 연계가 크게 변화하였으며 원거리지역이 근거리지역보다 더 큰 변화를 보였다. 기업의 역외연계수준이 역내연계수준보다 높지만 거리에 따라 조락현상을 보인다. 도시내부로부터 공업분산이 교외화에 미치는 영향, 분산공업의 송출요인과 흡인요인, 연계 특성이 일반 대도시지역의 그것과 거의 일치한다.

  • The convergence of artificial intelligence with smart factories or smart mechanical systems has been actively studied to maximize the efficiency and safety. Despite the high improvement of artificial neural networks, their application in the manufacturing industry has been difficult due to limitations in obtaining meaningful data from factories or mechanical systems. Accordingly, there have been active studies on manufacturing components with sensor integration allowing them to generate important data from themselves. Additive manufacturing enables the fabrication of a net shaped product with various materials including plastic, metal, or ceramic parts. With the principle of layer-by-layer adhesion of material, there has been active research to utilize this multi-step manufacturing process, such as changing the material at a certain step of adhesion or adding sensor components in the middle of the additive manufacturing process. Particularly for smart parts manufacturing, researchers have attempted to embed sensors or integrated circuit boards within a three-dimensional component during the additive manufacturing process. While most of the sensor embedding additive manufacturing was based on polymer material, there have also been studies on sensor integration within metal or ceramic materials. This study reviews the additive manufacturing technology for sensor integration into plastic, ceramic, and metal materials.

IMF전후의 중소제조업의 경영효율성 분석 (An Analysis on the efficiency of Small Manufacturing Industry - before and after IMF -)

  • 효율성 측정은 일반적으로 상장기업을 중심으로 이루어지고 있으며, 중소기업을 중심으로 한 효율성 연구는 미비하다. 따라서 중소기업의 경쟁력을 강화하기 위해서는 우선 중소기업의 현실을 파악할 필요가 있으며, 이를 위해 본 연구에서는 중소기업의 효율성을 측정하여 경쟁력 강화의 기본 자료로 이용되기를 바라는 측면에서 연구되었다. 효율성 측정은 비율분석이나 회귀분석을 통하여 일반적으로 이루어지고 있으나, 본 연구에서는 이러한 분석방법을 이용하지 않고 DEA(data envelopment analysis)모형이라는 새로운 측정수단을 이용하여 효율성을 측정하였다. 국내 상장 중소제조업을 중심으로 1996년부터 1999년까지의 패널자료를 이용하여 IMF전후의 비효율성을 측정하였다. 연구결과에 의하면 상대적 평균효율치는 도매 및 상품중개업이 68.99%, 영상 음향 및 통신장비 제조업이 60.58%, 음식료품제조업이 91.05%, 자동차 및 트레일러제조업이 85.80%, 제1차금속산업이 88.96%, 펄프 종이 및 종이제품제조업이 96.53%, 화합물 및 화학제품제조업이 78.67%로 나타났다. DEA모형은 서비스 및 비영리단체에서 주로 사용되어 온 효율성 평가방법이나 이를 중소제조업에 처음 적용해 보았으며, 추가적으로 IMF 이전과 이후시점의 효율성을 수치적으로 비교하여 우리나라 중소제조업의 경영효율성을 파악하게 해주었다.

산업체에서의 데이터와 신뢰성평가 (Data and reliability evaluation in industry)

  • 제조기업의 경우 여러 종류의 데이터가 수집된다. 이 중 많은 데이터는 약간만 변형하면 제품의 신뢰성 평가에 유용한 정보로 활용될 수 있다. 이 연구에서는 우선 제조기업에서 수집될 수 있는 데이터로 제품, 기술, 재무, 고객 등과 관련된 데이터는 어떤 것이 있는지 살펴본다. 다음으로 데이터가 발생할 수 있는 근원으로서 회사의 비즈니스 매니지먼트 시스템, 과학저널, 시험 및 마케팅조사 데이터 등에 대해 알아본다. 다음으로 제품의 신뢰성평가를 위해 제품수명주기에 걸쳐 어떤 종류의 데이터가 수집되는지 알아본다. 우선 제품의 개발단계에서는 구성요소별로 신뢰성시험을 실시하고, 서브시스템 및 시스템 차원에서도 신뢰성시험을 실시하여 신뢰성 관련 데이터를 수집한다. 한편, 제조단계에서는 제품의 기능시험 및 설계변경시험 등에 관한 데이터를 수집하고, 필드단계에서는 제품의 필드에서 어떤 문제가 일어나는지 파악하여 데이터의 형태로 수집한다. 마지막으로 데이터 수집 시 추후의 합리적인 분석을 위해 들어가야 할 내용이 무엇인지 살펴본다.

해양플랜트 배관재 공정관리 방법에 관한 연구 (A Study on Process Management Method of Offshore Plant Piping Material)

  • In order to secure manufacturing competitiveness of offshore plants, piping process is one of the most important processes. This study is about the design of management system for piping materials manufacturing of the offshore plant. As a result of the study, we analyzed the system and algorithms needed for the processing of piping material products and designed the structure of the entire management system. We conducted a process analysis of the design, manufacturing and installation processes. And also we proposed a system structure to improve the various problems that have come out. We also proposed an algorithm to determine the delivery order of the pipe spools, and proposed a raw material management system for the manufacturing of the pipe spools. And we designed a manufacturing process management system to manage the risk of pipe materials delivery. And finally we proposed a data structure for the installation process management system. The data structures and algorithms were actually implemented, and applied the actual process data to verify the effect of the system.

스마트 제조를 위한 Cortex-M 기반 임베디드 시스템 개발 (Development of Embedded System Based Cortex-M for Smart Manufacturing)

  • Small-scale production control systems for smart manufacturing are becoming increasingly necessary as the manufacturing industry seeks to maximize manufacturing efficiency as the demand for customized product production increases. Correspondingly, the development of an embedded system to realize this capability is becoming important. In this study, we developed an embedded system based on an open source system that is cheaper than a widely applied programmable logic controller (PLC)-based production control system that is easier to install, configure, and process than a conventional relay control panel. This embedded system is system is based on a low-power, high-performance Cortex M4 processor and can be applied to smart manufacturing. It is designed to improve the development environment and compatibility of existing PLCs, control small-scale production systems, and enable data collection through heterogeneous communication. The real-time response characteristics were confirmed through an operation test for input/output control and data collection, and it was confirmed that they can be used in industrial sites.

적층가공 방식으로 제작한 전치와 구치 임시보철물의 적합도 비교 (Comparative evaluation of the fitness of anterior and posterior interim crowns fabricated by additive manufacturing)

  • Purpose: The purpose of this study was to assess the fitness of anterior and posterior interim crowns fabricated by three different additive manufacturing technologies. Methods: The working model was digitized, and single crowns (maxillary right central incisor and maxillary right first molar) were designed using computer-aided design software (DentalCad 2.2; exocad). On each abutment, interim crowns (n=60) were fabricated using three types of additive manufacturing technologies. Then, the abutment appearance and internal scan data of the interim crown was obtained using an intraoral scanner. The fitness of the interim crowns were evaluated by using the superimposition of the three-dimensional scan data (Geomagic Control X; 3D Systems). The one-way analysis of variance and Tukey posterior test were used to compare the results among groups (α=0.05). Results: A significant difference was found in the fitness of the interim crowns according to the type of additive manufacturing technology (p<0.05). The posterior interim crown showed smaller root mean square value than the anterior interim crown. Conclusion: Since the fitness of the posterior interim crown produced by three types of additive manufacturing technology were all within clinically acceptable range (<120 ㎛), it can be sufficiently used for the fabrication of interim crowns.

생산 시스템에서 직접 원가 분석 모델 (A Direct Cost Analysis Model in Manufacturing System)

  • Although manufacturing cost is a major part of profit in a company, it is difficult to be calculated by an analytic method. Besides, the manufacturing cost gained by simple financial structure dose not have an important meaning in market place. Therefore, an analytic method of computing the manufacturing cost is very necessary in manufacturing system. In this study, we suggested the direct cost analysis model which are able to measure accurate cost analysis of product in manufacturing system. The direct cost analysis model is made up of directly used expenditure for unit product. Also, system performances are put in the manufacturing cost analysis model so that it could be possible to analyze the change of manufacturing cost as system performances change. At the end of this paper, it verifies its relevancy and practicality of the suggested direct cost analysis model through the case study, using real data for direct labor cost.
