초고속 인터넷 망의 확충으로 인터넷을 이용한 정보전달이 보편화되고, 전자우편은 많은 양의 자료를 빠르고 편리하게 송수신 할 수 있는 가장 보편적인 통신 수단이 되었다. 하지만 정크메일의 수신빈도와 그로 인한 피해가 갈수록 높아져 그 문제가 심각한 수준에 이르게 되었다. 더구나 근래의 정크메일은 시스템을 공격하기 위한 바이러스나 해킹 도구를 전파하는 수단으로 이용되어 컴퓨터 침해 사고의 심각한 원인으로 지적되고 있다. 따라서 본 연구에서는 실제 상황에서 유입되는 정크메일의 로그 분석을 통하여 그 특징을 분석한 후 FQDN 확인과 개인별 격리처리를 이용한 차단 시스템을 구현하였고 성능을 평가하였다.

This paper suggests a procedure to define business process improvement (BPI) projects with analysis results based on the cause-and-effect chain. The procedure developed in this paper focuses on eliminating root causes of business problems resulted from abnormal events occurred in business process executions. First, we develop three criteria used to make clusters of the root causes where a cluster of root causes will be eliminated together by a BPI project defined based on the cluster. Second, we develop a method to formulate desired expectations from the BPI project. Also, we suggest a method to calculate the relative importance of the BPI projects that help a BPI organization determine priorities of them. We illustrate the procedure and the methods with some examples for the domestic mail delivery process in the postal service industry.

In this study, we develop a method for analyzing business process based on the event-driven process chain (EPC) model. The method consists of five stages such as identifying abnormal events, finding causes for the abnormal events and problems caused by the abnormal events, making cause-and-effect chains, drawing root-cause map, and defining improvement areas. We illustrate how to apply the method with some examples for the domestic registered mail delivery process.

We provide trends on postal vehicles owned and operated by 10 overseas postal agencies, USPS, Postes Canada, Royal Mail, La Poste, Deutsche Post DHL, PostNL, Australia Post, China Post, Japan Post, and Thailand Post. This will be a useful asset to look into how the posts worldwide operate and manages their postal vehicles and service strategies. In this study, we provide the simple specifications of vehicles operated by each post, how to replace vehicles, how to service maintenance and repair, and modes of pick-up & delivery to be introduced soon. We expect this study to present appropriate policy implications for both postal agencies and logistics companies that are facing a major turning point in logistics to operate and evolve the delivery vehicles.

컴퓨터와 네트워크의 보급이 일반화되면서 인터넷을 통한 정보 전달이 일상 생활처럼 되고 있다. 또한 인터넷, 무선통신, 그리고 자료교환에 대한 증가로 인해 다른 사용자와 접속하기 위한 방식은 빠르게 변화하고 있다. 그러나 이러한 전자메일에도 많은 문제가 존재한다. 기존의 전자메일은 간단한 방법으로 내용을 열람하거나 변조할 수 있어 중요한 정보나 사생활 노출의 위험에서 벗어날 수 없다. 이러한 데이타에 대한 보안이 기대에 미치지 못하고 있기 때문에 암호학적으로 강력한 전자메일 시스템의 개발이 시급하다. 본 논문에서는 기본적인 정보보호 서비스 외에 기존의 전자메일 시스템에서는 제공되지 않는 배달 증명 및 내용 증명 기능을 제공하고 자바 암호 HPI를 사용하여 안전한 키 교환이 가능하도록 하였다.

편지나 소포 등의 우편물은 한해 47억 통 이상이 접수되어 고객에게 배달되고 있다. 우편 서비스는 고객과의 접점에서 우편물 접수로 시작되는데, 접수 서비스는 구분 및 배달 부문 등에 비해 정보화와 자동화의 진전이 미흡한 상황이다. 본 연구에서는 접수 서비스의 현황과 문제점을 분석하고, 해외사례 및 관련 기술에 대한 분석을 통해 문제점의 개선방안을 도출하고자 한다. 정보화 인프라와 이의 운용 측면으로 구분하여 전략을 수립하고, 시스템 및 기술의 단계적 구축 도입을 위한 방안을 제시하였다. 추가로 주요기술에 대한 기술성검토 결과를 간략히 언급하였다. 연구의 결과는 향후 우편접수 서비스 부문의 정책수립과 기술개발에서 활용될 것이다.

Visibility of the flow of goods is an important service element when considering how to improve the quality of a logistics service. Registered mail service of Korea Post, one of logistics service providers, currently supply information on the handling of postal items, such as receipts and delivery and arrival times to customers. However, internally problems related to excessive spending on operating expenses and less reliable tracking and tracing information exist due to errors in the information acquisition and link handling processes, leading to unnecessarily duplicated tasks. Therefore, the purpose of this paper is to propose process optimization method for improving the quality of tracking and tracing information for registered mail items. We analyzed the process and information control system of the current registered mail service and identified the basic causes of the existence of less reliable tracking and tracing information. And we present optimized mail handling and information management process for removing internal problems. Test results using tracking and tracing information examples show a significant performance of the proposed method.

본 논문에서는 우편물 자동처리론 위한 우편영상 인식 시스템을 소개한다. 우편영상 인식 시스템은 서장 우편물을 집배원이 배달하는 순서에 따라 자동으로 구분할 수 있도록 우편영상을 입력으로 받아 수신인 주소를 출력하는 인식 시스템을 말한다. 이 시스템은 수신인 주소영역 추출, 문자열 분리, 문자분할, 문자인식, 그리고 주소해석 모듈로 구성되어 있다. 주소영역 추출을 위해서는 우편물 주소 기입 위치에 대한 경험적 지식을 이용하였으며, 문자열 분리와 문자분한을 위해서는 연결요소 분석과 수직런 분석을 이용하였다. 문자인식에는 신경망 기반 인식기를 이용하였으며, 주소해석을 위해서는 동적 프로그래밍 기법을 적용하였다. 각 모듈은 독립적으로 구현되었기 때문에 인식 시스템의 성능 개선을 위한 모듈별 최적화가 용이하다는 장점이 있다. 실험에는 대전 유성우체국의 우편물 구분기를 이용하여 실제 우편물에서 수집한 인쇄 우편영상과 필기 우편영상을 이용하였으며, 비교적 우수한 인식 결과를 얻었다.

우편물을 배달순서대로 정렬하는 순로구분의 자동화를 위해서는 우편물에 표기된 주소를 인식해야 하며, 이 과정에서 표준화된 우편주소 데이터베이스는 필수적이다. 우편주소 데이터베이스는 주소인식뿐만 아니라 우편물 정보처리 등 다양한 측면에서 사용 가능하여 우편물 처리의 자동화와 정보화에 매우 중요하다. 본 연구는 우편주소 데이터베이스에서의 정보체계 표준을 위한 스키마 및 이에 따른 우편주소파일의 설계 방법과 설계된 스키마에 따른 주소해석 과정 및 방법에 관한 것이다. 주소를 표준화된 형태로 변환하는 데에 필요한 정보를 분석하여 이를 우편주소파일 설계과정에 포함시킴으로써 향후 순로구분 자동화를 위한 한글 주소인식 시스템과 고객 바코드 인증을 위한 주소 데이터베이스 매칭 및 주소검색 시스템에 활용할 수 있도록 하기 위해 우편주소파일을 설계하였다.
