사면 안정해석에 적용되는 지반강도정수($C, _{\Phi}$)와 사면경사 민감도 분석 (Sensitivity Analysis of Shear Strength Parameters($C, _{\Phi}$)and Slope Angel in Slope Stability Analysis)

  • Shear strength parameters obtained from filed survey are important factors in the analysis of slope stability. In this study, sensitivity analysis was performed to evaluate the effect of input parameters on the analysis of slope stability. The input parameters selected for sensitivity analysis were slope angle, cohesion, and friction angle. Monte-Carlo Simulation method was used for calculating input parameters and the factor of safety was computed by means of limit equilibrium method. A rock slope, which has failed in the field, was used for the sensitivity analysis in the analysis of slope stability. The result of analysis shows that the factor of safety of the rock slope was a little low. From partial correlation coefficient(PPC) of input parameters determined from the sensitivity analysis, slope stability was dependant on cohesion and slope angle. The effect of friction angle was lower than that of cohesion and slope angle on slope stability.

  • Response surface method is applied to evaluate the reliability of laminated composite panels. Since the linear and nonlinear first-ply failure load are computed using deterministic finite element analysis, new probabilistic finite element analysis is not necessary. Tsai-Wu criterion is used to construct the limit state suface. Material properties, layer thickness and lamina strengths of laminated composite panel are treated as random design variables. feasibility and accuracy of current method is validated using Monte-Carlo method Which perform thousand times of finite element analysis directly.

기능수행수준과 응답수정계수 (Serviceability Limit State and Response Modification Factors)

  • 도로교설계기준 내진설계편은 붕괴방지수준의 확보를 설계절차에 의해 규정하고 있는 반면 기능수행수준의 확보에 대한 요구사항은 명확하게 제시하고 있지 않다. 붕괴방지수준의 확보를 위해 기본적으로 제시된 설계방법은 응답수정계수를 사용하는 스펙트럼해석법으로, 기능수행수준은 설계과정에 적용되는 위험도계수와 응답수정계수에 의해 결정 되어진다. 위험도계수는 교량의 중요도에 따라 단순하게 적용할 수 있으나 중약진지역에서의 응답수정계수 적용은 설계조건에 따라 다른 결과를 갖게 된다. 이 연구에서는 중약진지역의 일반 도로교량을 대상으로 내진설계를 수행하여 기능수행수준의 결정과정을 검토하고, 이 결과를 토대로 기능수행수준의 확보와 관련하여 내진설계편에 보완해야 하는 사항을 제시하였다.

  • 본 논문은 기존의 한계 평형법 보다 사면의 파괴거동을 잘 묘사할 수 있는 유한요소법에 의한 사면의 안전율을 결정하는 방법에 대하여 기술하였다. 특히, 지하수위를 고려하는 사면의 파괴거동을 강도감소법에 의한 유한요소법으로 산정하였다. 그 결과, 강도 감소법을 이용한 FEM해석방법이 사면의 안정해석에 대하여 파괴거동과 안전율을 구하는데 유효한 수단임을 보여 주었다. 그리고 지하수 상승경우와 지하수 급강하 사면의 경우에 대하여 자세히 분석하였으며, 한계평형법인 Bishop간편법 해석결과와 비교, 검토하였다.

  • A method of obtaining deformation severity of axisymmetric shape deep-drawn products was developed. Strain states of products produced by single or multi-stage drawing were predicted by using finite element analysis. This method used minimization of potential energy between the known shape of final product and the unknown in initial blank. And that was done numerically by nonlinear finite element method. Deformation theory of plasticity was used for practical purposes. From predicted strain states of drawn parts, deformation severity was found by using forming limit diagrams.

  • A two degree-of-freedom model of suspended cables is studied for forced resonant response. The method of averaging is used to obtain first-order approximations to the response of the system. A bifurcation analysis of the averaged system is performed in the case of 2-to-1 internal resonance. Nonlinear coupled-mode motions are found to bifurcate from single-mode responses and further bifurcate to limit cycle motions via Hopf bifurcations. The limit cycle solutions undergo period doubling bifurcations to chaos.

  • A diagnosis methodology for thickness quality in hot finishing mill is proposed based on multivariate statistical analysis. The thickness of hot strip is a key quality factor that is measured by x-ray thickness gauge. Currently, the thickness quality is guaranteed by upper and lower limit of thickness deviation from target thickness. But if any over-limit is occurred, there is no in-line method to identify the causes.   • This paper aims to verify the static strength of a KHST gangway structure including fixed ring and carrying ring according to tile load cases in the defined specification. The structure has been analyzed by the finite element method. Calculation carried out in tile fields of linearity and small deformation. The admissible limit is tile yield strength for the available materials. The analysis results show that Von-Mises stress at some locations of the structure is a little beyond the admissible limit. These results are successfully reflected on the adjusted design.

엔진 커넥팅 로드 볼트의 유한요소 피로 평가 (Finite Element-Based Fatigue Assessment of Engine Connecting-Rod Bolts)

  • Fatigue fracture of engine connecting-rod bolts is encountered frequently during the developement of high-speed engines. Only the engine dyno test is a currently reliable fatigue durability assessment method. It is because the available rig tests cannot mimic the engine running condition completely, and because the finite element analysis cannot provide realistic stresses near the bolt thread that is modeled as a cylinder. This paper introduces a methodology to assess the fatigue durability of the connecting-rod bolts using the finite element analysis. The methods to contruct the bolt model, to extract the critical bolt stresses for the fatigue analysis, and to obtain the bolt fatigue endurance limit experimentally are discussed. Reliability of the method is verified indirectly.

  • Although a structural analysis based on e linear elastic theory yields good results for deformations and stresses produced by working loads, it fails to assess the teal load-carrying of the plates on the verge of yielding. In case of a limit analysis of plates, the yield line theory is widely used on the basis of the upper bound theorem and theoretically it overestimates the strength of the plate. There is, therefore, a general need for analytical methods of predicting the inelastic behavior and load-carrying capacities of plate subjected to arbitrary loadings and boundary conditions. The $\rho$-version of finite element method has been presented for determining the accurate limit load of plates. The numerical results by $\rho$-version model compares with the results obtained by the h-version software ADINA as well as with the available analytical solutions in literatures.
