An innovative Approach to Teaching-learning Process through Multimedia Presentation (멀티미디어 프레젠테이션을 통한 영어 학습과정 연구)

  • Useful It is very crucial to establish the learning environment with a creative technology for those who are going to learn English in terms of multimedia presentation. This kind of technologies make it possible for students to practice English suitable with their level and compatible with lesson plan. English grammar plays a leading role to study English as a second language for the language is required to master the structure, part of speech, and tense. The purpose of this study is to explore the a innovative English teaching and learning approach based on the multimedia presentation to teach English grammar with an effect for those students are studying English, when they are learning English grammar with power point or complex multimedia presentation.

Filling the understanding gap of the misplacement of ESL learner's writing placement test (ESL 학습자의 쓰기배치고사상의 오배치에 따른 이해도 차이 연구)

  • This study investigates the effect of misplacement in a written Computer-delivered ESL Placement Test (CEPT) context. The study aims to address the following two research questions: a) which scoring rubric features cause the misplacement of ESL learner's writing scores? and b) which scoring rubric features improve ESL learner's writing scores? Thirty-four international examinees took the test and participated in surveys at the University of Illinois. Twelve examinees of them attended the CEPT workshop test. In the workshop test, they carried out self-evaluation on their first essays using a scoring rubric and compared with expert raters' results. After the workshop, the examinees responded to a survey and interview. For the first research question, the results of the survey and interview addressed that the majority disagreed with the raters' rating results. The self-evaluation results also indicated that their misunderstanding of organization feature caused the misplacement. For the second question, the CEPT workshop scores were improved due to the score improvement in the organization feature while the contribution of other features to the total scores was little. Most of the examinees pointed out that a lesson on the scoring rubric enhanced their understanding of the writing features of the rubric so that their placement scores were generally improved.

  • In this study we aimed to find out if a mathematics lesson with Jigsaw model can help to change such negative mathematical affective characteristic to a positive one. The results of the study were as in the following. First, the mathematics lessons applied Jigsaw model can help to inspire curiosity and motivation of students. During the lessons, communication among students was vitalized. Such communication inspired learner's curiosity and learning motivation. The expert group and home group activities in the Jigsaw model made the learner's question-answering activities more instantaneous and frequent. Second, the mathematics lessons applied Jigsaw model can help students to become aware of the value of mathematical concepts and formula.

  • To recover the capital market's confidence, interest in accounting ethics education has increased recently. The purpose of this paper is to introduce a simple classroom games for moral hazard problem and to analyze the results. This case study introduces the classroom games in which well-known experiment of principal-agent dilemma in experimental economics implemented accounting ethics education. This paper suggests that game lesson is effective and efficient way to understanding moral hazard problem. During the games, cause and effect of players' decision making react upon each other. This paper contributes to generating further discussion on accounting ethics education and providing practical implication.

The Effect of the Design Based STEAM Program Utilizing Smart Device for Interest in Science and STEAM Literacy (스마트 기기 활용 설계 기반 STEAM 프로그램이 과학 흥미도와 융합인재소양에 미치는 효과)

  • The purpose of this study is to examine the effects of interest in science and STEAM Literacy through the use of the design based STEAM program utilizing Smart Device for elementary students. For the purpose of this study, a teaching plan and worksheet for students using STEAM Programs was developed and applied. The results of this study are as follows: First, the improvement in the interest in science score has statistically meaningful difference(p<.05). Second, the change in students^{\backprime} STEAM Literacy by applying the design based STEAM program utilizing Smart Device has statistically meaningful difference (p<.05). Third, according to the analysis of a questionnaire used to evaluate the program, students had a positive perception of the STEAM program and gained higher level of satisfaction about the lesson. Therefore, design based STEAM Program utilizing Smart Device applied in this study might be useful to improve STEAM Literacy, and can be expected to improve interest in science and should be widely applied to Science education.

Learning Evaluation System Based on Fuzzy Inference (퍼지 추론기반 학습평가 시스템)

  • Many studies have reported that each evaluation had a stronger effect on the development of a student's teaming ability. Nevertheless, in reality schools rely on the results of summative evaluation after the lesson only for the purpose of learning evaluation. Such a method of evaluation is a result-oriented learning evaluation, with no consideration of developing process of loaming ability of each student. Existing learning evaluation has been considered difficult to process learning performance ability in a clearer manner, as it examines teaming performance ability by diagnostic evaluation and learning ability improvement by formative evaluation, separately. Therefore, this paper proposes a learning evaluation method incorporating diagnostic and formative evaluation, using a Fuzzy inference, for a more objective assessment of performance ability. The proposed method assessed teaming ability based on different weight values, in order to reflect the level of diagnostic and formative evaluation.

  • Nowadays it is required for a student to have the ability to select right things in quantity of knowledge and constructing those in the right way for the individual. Because memorizing a little bit of everything doesn't allow a person to work up to their potential and be the person society wants. In the basis on the revised Information and Communications Technology guidelines at elementary and middle school, it is demanded to start education in elementary schools. Meanwhile elementary school students usually feel bored or find it difficult in learing through the existing program. So I will plan the lesson by Scratch program for programming education and see the effect of this after using that method.

Development and effect of elementary school upper-grade safety health education program (초등학교 고학년 안전보건교육 프로그램 개발과 효과검증)

  • Purpose: The purpose of this study is to develop a safety health education program for the upper graders of elementary school children and to evaluate the program. Methods: The study was designed for learner centered safety education and heath education based on a theory of lifelong education. After a model development of the program was set up, five major units were selected after five stages of program planning, design, acting, evaluation and feedback: school safety, traffic safety, home safety, life safety, and first-aid. Twenty things were selected as what to teach, and a lesson plan of 12 sessions was mapped out by arranging what to teach. The subjects in this study were 114 elementary school students who were in five different sixth-grade classes. Each class received education for five days, in four sessions each, according to the program. Results: The learners showed improvement in safety consciousness, safety knowledge, self-efficacy and safety behavior after they received education according to the safety health education program, and they expressed a lot of satisfaction with the program. Conclusion: It is important to develop the lifelong education for safety health education for the elementary school children.

The Determinant Factors of Development Batik Cluster Business: Lesson From Pekalongan, Indonesia

  • The study examines how business conditions, demand conditions and the role of government can influence the development of batik clusters in Pekalongan. This research is expected to be able to provide recommendations for both employers and local governments in order to help in optimizing the development of batik clusters. The research applied a quantitative research by engaging multiple regression analysis as an effort to understand the effect of the relationship between independent and dependent variables. In addition, this research was conducted in three largest batik clusters in Pekalongan, Indonesia namely batik cluster of Pasindon, Kauman, and Jenggot. These results indicate that business conditions positively affect the batik clusters development. It implies that the greater both business conditions in a cluster will lead the better the development. Indeed, the demand conditions also have an impact on the cluster development. This finding remarked that demand conditions are variable that need to be considered to development of batik cluster. Lastly, Government's role is confirmed that positively related to the Development of Batik Clusters. It implies that the more active the government's role in a cluster will have a good impact on the development of the cluster in certain area.

  • In Intellectual Subject the learning is applied individualization learning but In Computer Subject most teachers teach the curriculum with altogether lesson because of lack about understanding computer subject and the great gap of student's beforehand. The purpose of this paper is to suggest Customized Educational Program to help teachers apply in the classroom and to analyze the effect of educational using Personalized Learning model on the improvement of student's learning attitude and self-directed learning ability. For this study, after the Personalized Learning model class, measured learning attitude, student's class satisfaction and the expanding of self-directed learning ability by the self-assessment reports, a product, teacher's evaluation.
